Although you can get the watch parts cheaper elsewhere, the convenience of using this kit makes sense, especially if you are just starting your modding journey. I got one in the sale (basic exploring style watch) for only $170, including the basic tools, and for this, it was totally worth it and a lot of fun! I will always remember Christmas 2022 when I wear the watch!
Is your first comment regarding not having to send the video footage to the owner before publishing a reference to the recent story with Borealis? Haha.
@@theknightswatch Oh I see. Basically the brand Borealis got a bit of backlash recently because they offered a youtuber a watch to keep in exchange for a review, but they wanted to see the footage before publishing, she refused and made it public.
that's fair if you have no interest in modding or building watches. I can see the appeal of this and think the value is right - esp. with the sale they have going on now for certain models.
The assembly is the value. It makes that experience accessible to watch fans who are not comfortable taking apart a commercial watch they already own, or especially putting one together from standard parts.

Don’t know anything about that, just wanted to be transparent in the intro!

360 USD for a watch that you have to assemble yourself, with a simple Seiko movement, on a strap isn't good value in my opinion.
