For me in particular the release of Forza horizon signified the end of an era for me. After that gt6, almost the same game as gt5 came. The fm series had a decline in my eyes in quality, other great franchises such as halo and call of duty fell far from Grace afterwards, GT released GT sport which is a massive disappointment for me. 1999-2010 was the Golden time for games in my opinion. Who else agrees?
As a young boy, I was actually scared of S license. Having failed even the first one so many times. The first one was on a track that had the shape of '7' right? With some opel car?
For some reason we can't guarantee that fate when it comes to the older Gran Turismo sound tracks. The whole GT4 OST disappeared after being uploaded to perfection then came back sorta worse under a different name
Ugh, looking at the S License only reminds me of how difficult it was. So hard, that it took me multiple attempts to even get a bronze. S2, S6, and S7 were the hardest of the bunch.
I still remember those nightmares... i think they were something like this : *License S - 1* "One lap of Apricot Hill in the Vauxhall VX220. Enter the first corner as hard as possible with the throttle fully open, then brake while turning in the short section up to the second corner. At the wide left-hand 180-degree turn in the middle section, try to use the same speed as on the straights, minimize the steering angle and aim for the outside kerb. Be careful on the final section chicane, touching the marking cones on either side means disqualification." *VX220* *Gold* : 1'40'000 / *Silver* : 1'41'000 / *Bronze* : 1'44'500 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 2* "One lap of the Seattle Circuit II at dusk, in the Ford GT40. As the car understeers, decelerate sharply when entering corners, change the direction of the car early, and try to recover a straight course. If you accelerate too early when cornering, you'll understeer and the car will fly to the outside wall. Driving too fast when entering corners is also hazardous. Find the braking point early." *GT40 Race Car* *Gold* : 1'30'000 / *Silver* : 1'31'000 / *Bronze* : 1'35'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 3* "One lap of Trial Mountain in the Eunos Roadstar. The secret for getting a good time from the under-powered Roadstar is to maintain as high a speed as possible. Keep the throttle open fully up to the first tunnel in the first half of the course. Keep the exit speed high at the hairpin bend after the back straight by using every inch of the inside line up to the yellow diagonal markings. This will prepare for the following climb." *Mazda MX-5(J)* *Gold* : 1'52'200 / *Silver* : 1'53'000 / *Bronze* : 1'56'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 4* "One lap of the Midfield Raceway in the Penzoil GT-R. Brake short and carefully to go on the inside kerb at the first corner at the end of the straight, then open the throttle fully just after you pass the initial kerb. In the high-speed S-bend and hairpin of the last part, the secret for getting the best time is to take the line that will give the best exit speed at the final hairpin." *PENNZOIL NISMO GT-R JGTC(J)* *Gold* : 1'11'000 / *Silver* : 1'12'000 / *Bronze* : 1'14'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 5* "A wet condition test on Special Stage Route 5. This is the comparatively under-powered 86, it slides easily on wet roads, and if acceleration is applied too early when exiting from a low-speed corner, beware of the unavoidable spin. At the chicane in the final section, brake early, apply acceleration bit by bit, and exit carefully." *SPRINTER TRUENO GT-APEX (AE86 Type I,J)* *Gold* : 1'58'900 / *Silver* : 2'00'000 / *Bronze* : 2'05'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 6* "One lap in the Viper GTS-R on the popular leading US circuit: Laguna Seca. In the first half there are many mid-speed corners which can be exited in 3rd gear. Quickly learn the lines to take, and gradually increase the speed. Don't overdo it when entering the corkscrew, and brake early. At the final corner early braking means that you can accelerate soon after exiting." *Viper GTS-R Team Oreca* *Gold* : 1'16'800 / *Silver* : 1'18'000 / *Bronze* : 1'22'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 7* "This is Special Stage Route 11. The training car is the TVR Griffiths 500. As this is a high-powered FR car on a city course with many tight turns, extremely high level accelerator work is required. In the first half section where there are a succession of right-angled turns, use the line that anticipates entering the next corner. Be careful of over-accelerating when recovering from the hairpin bends in 3 locations." *Griffith 500* *Gold* : 2'09'300 / *Silver* : 2'12'000 / *Bronze* : 2'19'000 *-------------------------------------------------------* *License S - 8* "The stage for graduation from these tests is a city course: the Cote d'Azur. The course is difficult - narrow and meandering, with sudden rises and drops. As the course is surrounded by guard rails, most of the corners are blind. Join in the (broken ?) demo drive to learn the best lines for fast driving." *GT-ONE Race Car(TS020)* *Gold* : 1'27'800 / *Silver* : 1'31'000 / *Bronze* : 1'35'000
While getting gold is probably hardest out of the entire series in my opinion, just clearing through with bronze is rather easy generally. Except maybe a few from the Super License. S-10 is a blast if you've played any F1 game though...
Thanks, fella! I was hoping somebody would upload a decent version. I think the track called "Concentration" on the Original GT3 soundtrack is horrible with its intrusive electronic bass guitar at about 0:42.
Does anyone notice the picture of Sears Point (Sonoma International Raceway) that track was never in Gran Turismo 3 its odd as to why Polophony added it to the menu.
I guess if it was supposed to be in the Game the License ran out or they did cut it completely, this is a Leftover because they didn't want to make a new Picture just for one Menu i think
Listening to this while studying for your driver's license exam...
General Slayer That was pretty lame :/
DirtyH2O I have my drivers test in 4 days.. should I listen to this on the way there?
silvergbasp13 I forgot about this comment XD
Did this the night before I took my test a few years back lol
Lmaooo my driving exam is in like 2 hours so I'm listening to that to focus and calm down
If you play this at 0.75 speed it's Main Theme 4 from Gran Turismo 4
Yeah it's a remastered version of old bassman
PS2 ERA WAS THE BEST!
Yeah i born in 2002 but i played ps2 10 years
I also got a PS2 for years since I got it. And man PS2 is a lot memorable than PS4 (IMO)

Late Comment But it So True. Better Than The PC,Xbox 360,One Ps4 Era
I listened while waiting permission from my instructor to take my licence test. I passed! Thank you for the training, Gran Turismo.
Gonna get my class D learners permit today, juicing up for the test rn
5 people didn't get their license
Leahcim Zruc Now it's 6 people who did not get their license ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

Ah, this brings me back to my beloved gt3. In fact, I'll play it right now just for nostalgia!
The feeling of finally getting the S Licence is unforgettable 😂
One of the menu tracks in GT4, but much different sounding.
Remaked soundtrack
Love coming home and busting this and lightin up.
The S license was infuriating to obtain.
it's even worse if you're trying to get all golds
As a young boy, I was actually scared of S license. Having failed even the first one so many times. The first one was on a track that had the shape of '7' right? With some opel car?
Getting bronze was fairly easy
Love this song please never take it down :)
For some reason we can't guarantee that fate when it comes to the older Gran Turismo sound tracks. The whole GT4 OST disappeared after being uploaded to perfection then came back sorta worse under a different name
Download it bro. Just to be safe
Never heard anything like that i think ever again, this track is so good
Simply i love this soundtrack.😁😎
we need a ten hour version.
Idk what it is but the songs of gran turismo give me a very pleasant vibe that no other games have ever given me
I love this song, this music is beautiful.
love it .... so soulful
An old bassman from the GT4 soundtrack (GT:Mode!) Was inspired by this
Ahh good memories
Ugh, looking at the S License only reminds me of how difficult it was. So hard, that it took me multiple attempts to even get a bronze. S2, S6, and S7 were the hardest of the bunch.
S2 and S8 were the worst for me.
S6 and S8 were the worst. A7 wasn't that easy though too
Scariest license song I have ever heard when I was young.

I swear license test B-8 is the hardest out of all.

Complex string is my favourite. Too bad it is a fake track.

+GetOverHere83 it is horrible. i prefer this version
Wow, really? I personally love the Bass guitar in the soundtrack version. I like both versions actually. But to each to their own.
Amazing

And later, the track makes its first appearence in GT4.
Also, wasn't that track called Infineon Raceway in GT4?
I was wondering what that was
@@KevinAbillGaming Yep. Time does things to American road course names apparently. We can't even keep Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca...

Yes it is.
