It's annoying that the BBC put this much effort into an album and yet 10 years of UK Eurovision Song Contest reps have performed WORSE songs! The HELL?
Fun fact: Brum Brum wiggle actually made it on CBeebies the official album back in 2002. Yes. An official compilation of CBeebies, which also had Christmas number 1 Can We Fix It, that one Tweenies song about going mad from having fun, and the ONLY album with the balamory mega mix. Had Brum Brum wiggle…
"Have Fun, Go Mad" was originally a 90s RnB track recorded by an artist called Blair and there was another Tweenies record on that album called "Do The Lollipop" which idk whether that's a cover or an original
As generic as some of the lyrics in some of the songs may be, (i.e. slapping words/phrases like “Brum”, “Big Town” or “Yellow Car” into the lyrics and calling it a day) I actually really enjoy listening to all of them. But we just can’t deny that “Brum, Brum Gets Things Done” is an absolute bop.
Yessss!!!!!!! I’m in this vid to the song Beep Beep! Get in! I once co-hijacked an airplane and was raced by Brum down a runway. Fun fact - Brum rolled and filming had to be stopped while everyone panicked. He was ok but this footage exists somewhere I’ve seen it. Challenge for you - make it a mission to track it down.
THERE WAS A BRUM MUSICAL! I took my then preschool kid to it in Melbourne in maybe 2005. I have absolutely no memory of the songs or the story but i remember it was quite entertaining for me and mind blowing for son. I wonder if some of these songs were from there.
Fun fact: Brum was also shown here in America. I don't remember any episodes, but I do remember seeing it during continuity links for a channel called Discovery Kids, on their Ready Set Learn block (which is on RUclips). I don't remember us having anything more than that, however
Do you want to know what's also the weirdest album ever made? Mr. Blobby the album. You should talk about him, and his song of the same name that originally peaked at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart on 11 December 1993 for one week but reclaimed the top spot to become the Christmas number one single, and spent a total of three weeks at No. 1
It sounds so crazily early 2000’s. Like s club 7 before they got hired to their own band. The gears turning song is very clearly intended to sound like Destinys Child. Also reminds of the cheesy cassettes you’d get in the late 90’s at holiday parks
Did anyone else sing "Brum, Brum, kiss his bum" when the ending theme came on or was it just me and my sister Edit: Wow, it only took the first few seconds of the second song for me to get slapped in the face with nostalgia

I would've loved to have seen an instrumental disc track of the chase theme from the official show. The build-up was always my favourite part. Or, how about the victory tune? I'm loving how silly some of these musical tracks are. But a full OST of the show's orchestrated music would've been good.

I'm getting flashbacks everytime I see him outside the Council House As I literally worked round the corner from there in Louisa Ryland House for 14 years.
2007 does seem a bit late for an album, but even though the show finished production in 2002 the repeats continued for around a decade. I have fond memories of watching it on Cbeebies and I remember it being shown as part of Cbeebies on BBC2 until my brother was about 2 and a half, he was born back in 2010. But it is bizarre that it took so long for this thing to be released here.
How about Record Breakers? That programme no joke produced an album with the late legendary Roy Castle singing about the world's largest man Robert Earl Hughes and the World's Tallest Man Robert Pershing Wadlow. Stuart Millard on his channel profiled this the greatest entry to the Music Hall of Fame since Simon Cowell thought it would be brilliant to put several WWF wrestlers including the legendary Undertaker into a recording studio and produce the Slam Jam Album!

I am more reminded of a song that wouldn't have sounded out of place in the Pokemon anime in some emotional scene.
I wonder if they were planning another series and that's why they did a whole album full of songs - or planned a repackage of the classic episodes with changed soundtrack? I will say the clips you chose for showing off these songs fit wayyyy too well lol.
Somewhat unrelated to the video subject, but I felt contractually obligated to mention that Brum was built by Rex Garrod, who would be probably best known as the builder of Cassius in Robot Wars, and pretty much birthed the most popular weapon in UK robot combat in the pneumatic flipper. Without Cassius, there'd be no Chaos 2, No Firestorm, No Gravity, No Dantomkia, No Apollo or Eruption! Absolute legend.
