This isn’t really a review. But I should have some up this week.
Yeah, it’s almost like planes stop people from camping and makes the game more dynamic.
Don't tell WoWs players that, it'll make them angry...
Except PC has all these things, and they just camp the back of the map...
Maybe the planes on these hybrids, but not planes in general. Prior to the CV rework when player controlled planes could spot you for their team, that was a HUGE disincentive to push. You could push forward 2km in your cruiser, for example, get spotted randomly by cv planes, and then blapped back to port. And even if that doesn’t really happen anymore, the planes still drop you with ordinance that is next to impossible to avoid. And the further you push in, the closer you get to the source of the planes, and the easier it is for them to repeatedly damage you.
And that’s part of the reason gameplay on WoWs PC is so passive. There are far more planes to deal with, and these hybrids on that game have player controlled plane squadrons exactly like CVs.
@@Xarkun well put. Hate the argument that aircraft carriers, hybrid BBs and submarines somehow reduce camping. Like if what you want is everyone 18-20km away from the nearest objective, then I guess mission accomplished, but that is still camping imo, and just a less fun experience as a whole.
@@connertravanini773 Yeah. I’ve heard people say somehow planes make games less campy and less passive, but it’s exactly the opposite

That's not weird at all. I've got Dewey on Missouri and get alot of broadside shots on players who don't realize that a stealthy battleship is lurking nearby

I use my airstrikes to take out destroyers it's so easy to do and I messaged the person every time saying look at me I am the destroyer now 🤣
I wouldn’t say it’s “easy” unless the targeted DD is not very good, but I suppose there are a lot of those.
I've not speced into the plains at all but I regularly get 30k torp runs on battleships and it's ridiculous. God help them if you get a flood cause they'll DC it and then you can hit them with HE to set fires or even worse if you get it the other way around and set a perma flood which I have managed. I do like what this battleship line brings to the game by making it so you can push people out of their cover or create crossfires if you know how to lead the torps

The majority of this playerbase only has enough brain power to get in a BB and sit stationary on the edge of an island and bow tank. These air strike ship lines are gonna piss a lot of people off. Lol
I think doing 20k+ damage and sometimes a flood to a well angled battleship with autoaim is unfair. There is no way to dodge in a slow battleship, even if you move, turn or whatever you want to try. You’ll get at least 2 or 3 no matter what you do. And that’s if you anticipate blindly. Because if you react when you actually spot the planes, you only have 5 seconds to do something. They should either remove the autoaim, make the planes spotted farther or reduce the damage done. Or a combination of those. Cheers !
If you're relying on auto-aim for these hybrids you aren't gonna land many torps, really only works against mostly stationary targets. I'm focused on the guns in these ships and mainly use the torps for campers and smoke clouds
I find the auto aim on these things to be kind of unreliable. But the flooding time is outrageous. They really need to bring that more in line with PC’s flooding time, which is like 30 or 45 seconds. I think ours last a minute thirty, so you’re completely dead if you don’t have DCP
Can't afford to get Louisiana this time round but I'm enjoying Connecticut and Nebraska. These hybrids are a nice addition to the game. Hearing moans and groans from some commentors but really don't understand what they're prattling about. I play battleships more than any other class and not really having a problem. Of course my BB is actually moving so I wonder if that helps🤔? (Spoiler alert...it does). Enjoyed the video, thanks for uploading👍
I do wonder about all the grumbling. I would understand it if these “hybrids” were true hybrids like they are on PC. But imo, WG massively improved the design by replacing the player controlled plane squadrons these things have on PC with airstrikes, which I think are a hell of a lot fairer and more balanced than player controlled planes. And consequently, I kind of think this whole line is a new and interesting addition. I think Louisiana in particular might be over tuned and need a nerf, but I don’t think these things are fundamentally unbalanced.
And yeah. Moving your BB is a must.
@@Xarkun agreed. If I had to fly the planes I wouldn't like these ships because It would interfere with shooting my guns. If I wanted to pilot aircraft I'd play a Carrier...but I almost never do that because I don't enjoy playing CVs
Try a secondary build on Louie since you can have all guns firing to,left😅
It only has like a 5km base range. Doubt you’d get much value out of it.

ngl, these camos r sick...but as usual weegee only gave me T6 from the free crate so 8 only got camo for that only...
Abominations unto God but rather fun to play only got the tier 6 but it's kinda nasty.
Louisiana is cracked now but once its available for free sometime in the future it will be a dud.
Maybe. But maybe too few people will have it so they won’t get enough spreadsheet data until everyone gets it for free. Then after that, they will nerf it.

Did you miss the second half of carrier nerfs with the release of the hybrids?
I've already gotten a lot of hate from HE Island spammers because those torps are brutal towards stationary cruisers. I'm gonna use Louisiana as much as I can until they nerf it. Vengeance is mine ... For now

@@akela3222 the best T7 CV? I have no idea. I thought you were asking if the hybrid battleship line is the best CV line in kind of a joking way. But probably the best T7 tech tree CV is Pobeda.

These boats are LAME. I ain’t playing this game until carriers are reeled in, AA batteries are buffed, and catapult fighters are restored to their former state of barely working
These ships are fun. Don't really understand what people are talking about with the recent changes. They've already dialed back Carriers and most players I've encountered aren't very effective with the hybrids. I play battleships more than any other class and not having a problem
These things really have nothing to do with CVs. And believe me, I hate CVs more than most people. I was probably one of the loudest voices in the community complaining about CVs. But these hybrids are not CVs. They could’ve been. On PC, they launch player controlled plane squadrons exactly like PC. If they were like that on Legends, then I would probably hate them. But as it stands, I think they’re pretty fun to play. And I think CVs aren’t as bad as they were at the beginning of the rework. But you’re right about the fighter planes needing to be better.
