- In this Amigurumi tutorial, I show you how to crochet a little cat. This is a fun little project, ideal for intermediate and practised crocheters. Don't be intimidated by the color changes. You can also make your cat in one color only.

I followed your pattern exactly… and it turned into a sheep by the time I was supposed to make the tail. I followed your video, thinking I must’ve missed something… and it turned into a sheep again. 🤷🏻♀️ I embraced the sheep.

It might be because of the super fat butt. It’s the way it’s decreased. Instead of decreasing to 7 stitches before FO, stitch the 14 remaining stitches together down the back. It makes the butt less giant and round. I think it might be okay if you stitch together 20 stitches before decreasing to 14 as well, but I haven’t tried this.

I love all your patterns and tutorials , Thank you. I made my cats ears slghtly bigger......ch4 , into 2nd ch (sc,hdc,) into 3rd ch,( dc, tr, 2ch,slst into top of tr ,dc,) into 4th ch, ( hdc, sc)

A video without all these color changes would be incredibly helpful!
Even though I'm an Avid crocheter of over 30 years, a basic pattern without color changes would be super helpful to those of us doing this pattern for the first time!
All the color changes just muddle this pattern hopelessly.
I do love the pattern, it's well-written and produces a lovely kitty cat but simplified version of this pattern without color changes would be greatly appreciated!

Well, apart from me having a mild mental breakdown on the round where you attach the legs to the body and the fact that what you do and say sometimes doesn't match the instructions written on the screen, this went pretty smoothly for me. I really love these animals and how compact they are. Now I want to make the rest as well, like the raccoon, hen, rooster and the puppy. Thanks for the tutorial.

Love the neck of your hook but I think you would greatly benefit from a hook that has a more pointy head... it would make your decreases easier and you could more easily get into tight stitches. This pattern/tutorial is awesome, thank you for sharing this idea with your viewers!! Ps: I may opt to attach my legs first and THEN sew the bottoms of the feet to make sure the toes are all pointing forward... I couldn't rip apart this wool to correct the direction of the paws otherwise! Lol!!

I discovered I CAN make this, thanks to the great tutorial (I am revisiting cuz I wanna make more). But I'm also horrible at sewing!!! I sewed the pink part of the rear (wanted to be nice and not say what it is) too far low from the tail. Lesson learned. Crochet the hole higher!!! Ha ha ha!!
