I am a nurse working with dementia patients and today one of my residents recited this poem to me, wonderful how the mind goes through so much and yet remembers such beautiful things :)
My dementia patient, my dear friend, who I wrote about on here one year ago, passed away this weekend and this was the last thing we shared before he died... Whenever I charted and he was near by we would discuss poetry and this was always our favorite. Thank you for the beautiful memories
"For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams...and the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes of the beautiful Annabel Lee" My favourite poem; beautifully presented, well done!
Look what Love can do. Anna Belle is immortalized because some one loved her. Too often, Success is based on what you make people do for you, and we miss out on some of the most beautiful people in the world. Because all they want and need, is to be loved.
How can there be any dislikes? No, really, WHY?? I love your voice, your reading... and Poe is my favorite poet, writer and sentimentalist.. Love this poem.
I love both the poem and the song, but I feel this music makes us hardly move and not pay too much attention to this masterpiece by Edgar Allan Poe. Very good choice of pictures.
finally... a voice worth of allan poe... i'm a professional voice actor as well. i'm gonna record all of allan poe's poems.. but this voice is just fantastic.. just gorgeous..
I love poetry. 🌸🌸🌸 Many do not know this about me. But it's just another part of my simple heart. With John Keats Robert Frost Pablo Neruda and the wonderful Edgar Allan Poe.
I am absolutely enchanted by this poem. "I was a child and she was a child in this kingdom by the sea. But we loved with a love that was more than love, I and my Annabel Lee".
Of all the tributes to Poe on RUclips that I have seen, this is clearly the most understanding and the most beautiful. When I saw the portrait of Poe's wife Virginia appear on the screen, I knew I watching a film that might well have moved Poe himself. Wonderful work.
yesterday I was listening to an audio made by a female on The Prophet and I cant help but remember this. really well done, by far this is the best I've heard and the background music just fits to a T. www.iamkrist.com
Великолепное стихотворение. Интимная лирика По удается лучше всего. Исполнитель заслуживает отдельной похвалы, ведь ему удалось создать невероятную атмосферу спокойствия. Слава Богу, что существуют такие талантливые люди.
I cried while watching this. This is the most moving poem I've ever read and heard. The man's voice in the video is so interesting and soothing. Perfect for reading poetry.. Thank you so much for making this or uploading it,it's beautiful. the music is absolutely beautiful.. Edgar Allen Poe was truely gifted, such a precious man. It makes you understand in some small way what he felt as he wrote this. So beautiful.. words cannot describe how this poem makes me feel. :)
For those that may be new, that's a picture of Poe's wife Virginia Clemm @ 1:38. She was 15 years younger than him, and she died after ten years of marriage. This poem is about her.
Nice reading, and one of my favorite poems. I've just gotten around to reading this one and a few other Poe pieces on my channel, and I need to read some more.
It. She. And. The. But. For. Thats the first word of every stanza, helped me memorize this poem easily for those that need to.. Also, great work, very nice voice.
The last stanza of this poem is by far i believe to be the best. "But our love was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we Of many far wiser than we And neither the angels in heaven above, Nor the demons down under the sea, Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee. For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee..."
a poem for the ages I think that this is one of his better poems this along with the sleeper, the concur worm and the raven are the best that he has written.
edgar allen poe and virginai clemms were actually first cousins which is why their story is what makes the absence of the heart grow fonder because the world was sad back then. if somebody thinks i am wrong about my comment. i did honestly google it.
After 12 years I'm still listening to this interpretation. You should be proud. :)
so do I. still the one that I presfer to listen to
