Very bubbli kid of Rajajinagar. She was coming with me to dance class. She and her family are artists and humble. I remember her speaking when we called her father famous Murdangam Vidhan Sri. Chandramouli sir to our Bosch. God bless with her good health and happiness and many more sauces in her career 🙏
I remember those Doordarshan days. I remember the Saturday when ' Phaniyamma ' was telecasted. I was perhaps 5 years. We didn't have TV at home. I was peeping through a neighbour's window to watch it. I wasn't successful in watching it though. Doordarshan's opening music excited us so much that we felt butterflies in our stomach. There were weekly serials like ' Sri Samanya' , ' Hima Sweeta ', ' Yedavattannayya ', ' Kannadiyolagina Gantu', ' Bisilu Kudure ' ' Conductor Kariyappa' a serial based on the Kannada version of Sherlock Holmes, every Thursday at 8 pm there was a Kannada drama , Sutta Mutta , Priya Veekshakare, Weekly Thursday Chitramanjari & weekend Kannada movie were wonderful .. Sunday was so special & exciting. The couple in the video summed up our experience. Doordarshan was our Kannada, English, Hindi language guru.
Robot Serial Jhonny Socco and his Flying Robot...was marvelous....also you forgot to say load shedding...where we prayed to God so we don't miss our fav programs...
Those days only expensive TV's used to have "S" band, with which we could get extra cable channels, mainly sports and english channels. Our tv did not have a "S" band. So had to go to my cousin's house to watch WWF, tennis, etc... till we bought a tv with "S" band.
