A good idea methinks, i am parking mine up from Christmas for the rest of winter i have fuel stabiliser just have not used it until now. When i park my bike for extended periods i remove the spark plugs squirt some oil down the plug hole, turn the engine over add some more and replace the plugs to protect the bore/rings, this has always worked for me.
The bike looks really good. I thought the BSA came with a center stand, though. Does it come stock with the spools for a paddock stand? Thank you for the video!
No Centre stand as specified. That has created quite a lot of dissonance within the BSA community and some have even designed their own stand. However, there have been reports of accidents caused by these. The guy from Sealey who make these and a whole lot of other stands has publicly stated that their Scissor Jack is a better option. Video on the awkwardness of this stand is on it's way.
Or is it snake oil. I have two bikes, same model same year. Both got full tanks of E5 in October one got fuel stabiliser the other didn't. In March both started on the button first touch. How can we know if it does any good of it's just a placebo.
Are you tucking your bike up for the winter? Im just waiting for the next dry day and will be out, especially as the storms blown all the leaves away. Oh BTW, you just did the perfect Captain Clumsy manoeuvre and dangled your petrol cap by its key for a sec. 🫣
Plus , if there's a risk of spilling un known chemicals on your tank paint work I'd use a funnel. Only takes a minute to find and use , not much longer than wiping chemical spills off your tank

Great idea The fuel stabiliser does other things that putting oil down the bores of course.

That's interesting. I don't think it's snake oil, but what it actually does and what it's made is of course kept secret.
Run bike for 5 minutes. Wouldn’t it be better to take it for a 20 minute run and then top up the tank with petrol. That’s what I’d do.
Good point and I did consider that option.
