My games not crashing at all but its doing something real annoying to me which is the fov drops to 80 and stays there until i reset my Ps5 its so annoying all of a sudden i feel like im trying to run in quicksans

Incomplete? Buggy? Crashing? I strongly disagree! I played CW for a year and their are maps that turn night and day in the same match! Maps I can see straight through the floor, buildings that disappear and reappear and don't get me started on how many times it crashes. Your nitpicking and reaching. Not a honest review at all.
Maps, 10 attachment guns, operator leveling, game mode pacing, and flow of the map. All these things are what I need. I'll pick this game over the other from the past 4 years (mw, bocw, ww2, bo4). Maybe beside BO4 but I'll still pick vanguard over it for the first week of release.
Remember, these games are made from multimillion triple A studios. There's no excuse for such problems and incomplete games. In short, they gotta get their shit together.
Another thing to keep in mind is that this game was developed from Home and not their studio.

My game has crashed about 5-6 times now and I'm on Xbox but hey, at least it's not shutting down my entire console like Cold War did I guess.

This may sound dumb but how do you even acquire a creator code and how does it work? Sorry for asking but I'm not exactly sure what creator codes are used for
Some of the map designs are weird too. There’s so many different places to get shot from it’s almost impossible to predict where anyone is and on top of that you have all the destructible walls which add even more areas for ppl to camp
it's a couple of maps I quickly picked up on that I would have to immediately just leave. sub pens is one.. the worst one is a map I can't remember but literally anywhere you spawn you just die. like foh bruh

You just got to love how greedy gaming studios have become. They release Alpha's as Beta's and Beta's as a full £60 game with the possibility of gaining the full game later in the year. The last really good complete game that came out imo was The Witcher 3 back in 2015.

Forza horizon 5 is amazing well worth the money if you’re a fan of those type of games. But I agree the Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time, the dlcs alone could be a whole separate game

My lobbies are full of 1s, 2s and 3s and I'm at 1. Was in a lobby on Das Haus with a blatant hacker...ran around the map hip firing everything in sight and impossible to even get a hit marker...that's on XSX, cross play off lol closed platform...

That's why I'm kinda disappointed by all the complainers about the balance. When everything is "overpowered" then essentially nothing is. My personal opinion is fun>balance. I know I'm in the minority with that but I can't help but get annoyed by every youtuber saying "the game is really fun but *blank* is overpowered." If it's fun, that's the important part to me. I gave up on cod a long time ago and but I actually enjoy how FUN the game is this year
Honesty I wasn’t gonna even buy vanguard at first, but I caved in and bought it day 1 and to be honest… I’m loving it so far even with all of its flaws and brokenness. (My game has crashed yes, but not nearly as much as others seem to be experiencing and not nearly as much as cold wars launch)
Yeah.. I think because I wasnt hyped for it that I am pleasantly surprised by how fun it is.
Everyone loved MW2 so much _because_ it was so broken, and I think people are finding the same thing with vanguard.
i’m actually thoroughly enjoying the game. it’s not the best but this is the most fun i’ve had in a while. the only thing i don’t like is the long ass leveling system for the weapons 😭

I don't buy these games when they first come out because every single year is unnecessary, and there's always bugs in the first couple weeks. Being completely honest I still just play MW cause Cold War didn't look too much worth the upgrade to me. But you gotta chill on criticizing how people choose to spend their time and money.
I’m waiting till Christmas. Sledgehammer did such a great job pulling Ww2 from the ashes after its launch and made it one of my favorite cods. I feel like in a month enough will be fixed to be worth my money.
Yeah but WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT MONTHS AFTER A GAME’S RELEASE DATE TO FINISH THEIR OWN UNFINISHED GAME??
I'd be better off just waiting to play Halo Infinite instead as that game looks to be the FPS that will dominate FPS Gaming in the end of 2021 and early 2022 (even if Forge and Co-op campaign arrive a bit later, the rest of the game is shaping to be very good); where as CoD Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 released in an unpolished, incomplete state and were definitely rushed to meet holiday sales deadlines (especially Battlefield 2042), so they will take months (maybe even 1 year) in order to fix and update them to even be in a decent playable state.
WW2 was an excellent cod game. I loved it from beginning to the end. This an abomination. Activision will not allow sledgehammer to save it.

I really appreciate the honesty man it's about time someone on RUclips is honest about this game I've watched so many different RUclipsrs and nobody so far has been 100% honest. And don't forget that the hackers are having their way with this game right now it's brittle I think the other night I ran into like five hackers in two different games it was bad

@@Processin shotguns aren’t just an issue on the smallest map, game is unbalanced with poor visibility, feels good tho. Maps are aight I guess. I’m sure this has potential but no prestige grind and the only thing you can do rn that’s worth anything is grinding mastery camos. This as an overall COD is mid tier asf especially going on 3 years with no true way of prestiging.

I love nero and his videos but a LOT of this is exaggerated(minus the zombies mode that's baad) but seriously a lot of this is over the top.
It doesn't take forever to level a gun up. The stg can easily be competed against with guns like the automaton and type 100. There are lots of maps and week 1 was not as buggy as past cods. I could go on, but really vanguard is an excellent foundation.

I've been enjoying the multi-player honestly, everything feels smooth and polished in terms of the gamplay. ZOMBIES HOWEVER, is a disaster

Everything about this game is broken and makes me wanna puke.. Its really a disappointment.. Their 2017 cod ww2 they made was way better. Even at launch, but took them almost a year to fix the game... completely unexceptional performance by SHG, KungFlu is NOT an excuse to make a dog 💩 game
The game feels much more out dated than Cold War. The guns suck and so do some of the maps. They need to stop going back to the past.
The main reason. The TTK is way too fast. It's such a miserable experience getting insta melted all over the place. It's just awful.
I just switched to only playing Hardcore so at least it makes sense. I prefer sniping in core... but it's not worth it when I get 2 shot from range. So I just run combat shotgun in hardcore
Its almost the same ttk as bo2 or others cods in the past. So I think the ttk is fine,the problem is balancing the weapons around a ttk. The vital perk and that stuff hurts the average ttk. So what it need its a good weapon balance.
The TTK is not the problem, it the headshot multiplyer

I have yet to see anyone with the atomic camo and I’ve been playing a couple of hours a day since release. Losing gunfights when you get three rounds into someone before they even start firing is the most annoying thing in the game.
this is what i feel like happens to me the most. highly frustrating. but the game other than that is fun
Not had any crashes, but that packet burst nonsense is a problem, i get it happening regularly throughout the game, i have a monitor on my connection and i have no lag spikes on my connection, so i has to be on their end. The biggest problem i have faced in Vanguard is cheaters, like legitimately at least every other game, and before everyone starts should "just get good" in the games where it is legit players on a similar skill level, i do well, 25/10 kills to deaths, but when its cheaters, i cant get out of spawn and go 4 for 20 a lot of cheaters are using the aim assist of controllers to hide their cheating, but watching kill cams you see them clearly tracking through walls or holding aim in a place between 2 approaching hidden players snapping from one straight to the next and downing them with perfect never miss a shot aim and those not using a controller have terrible shaky aim right until a player appears and then they snap and have perfect miss no shots and as soon as a player dies their aim goes back to being terrible and shaky and those are just the really obvious ones, the ones that try to hide it are the worst, they try and paly it off, after watching an area they know a player is coming from, they flick away a little and then snap back at just the right moment to drop that player before they have chance to react, it happens so often i have to believe that their "ricochet" anti cheat simply does not work.
Sorry for the wall of text, i just feel Neros words while i contemplate the money i appear to have wasted.
Honestly I’m enjoying some of the busted things in this game lol. The sheer chaos of some of these matches especially in Blitz.

As someone who plays CoD casually this has been the most fun I’ve had with a Call of Duty game in years. I haven’t had any connection issues and camo’s don’t matter to me.
MP40 and STD44 remind me of the ASM1 and BAL-27 they didn’t get nerfed for about 2 years lol still remember that

That's not the point though, it's a camo you can't buy and has to be earned so it's a statment. Also it's just a fun thing to challenge yourself for because you end up maxing out and experiencing every gun in the game rather then being like most sheep who will bash the STG and MP40 all year around.

Never had a single issue with this game. I think it’s a brilliant call of duty. Sure some little bugs here and there but nothing a few patches can’t fix. I say it is worth buying if you like call of duty

Modern warfare is buggy as hell though. Activision ruins mw so people will buy Vanguard. But perhaps the game is fun.

It's odd that so many of you are experiencing what was talked about in this video. I personally haven't had many issues thus far. I mean, I haven't played an insane amount and I'm on the series s, (if that even makes a difference) but suffice it to say, I've been enjoying my experience so far.

My girlfriend and I weren’t gonna get the game but being avid cod fans decided to last night. After 8 matches and running into 3 hackers my girlfriends account got perma band for no reason. She had a .67 KD over those games. Can’t appeal, can’t talk to anyone. 90 dollars down the drain for a franchise we’ve been playing since we were kids. Just shows how much activision really doesn’t care about it’a community. All the grinding for camos, money spent in the shop, wins in warzone etc. gone for nothing.
hey I love Nero but take this opinion with a grain of salt, im pretty critical of cod games and had no expectations of this. I mean I didn't even play cold war at all after buying it last year, but this has been one of the funnest cod titles I can remember playing in decades. I even play on ps4 and it runs fine, I have packet burst but nothing serious, it's never ended my game only the updates do that. All in all if you're bored and are on the fence about getting it I would say get it and endulge in the madness
Honestly, this is the first COD since BO2 that I've actually had some fun in a COD game. Maybe it's because I'm just a causal COD player who doesn't care about doing the challenges and unlocking everything.
I never get lag or stuttering issues when there's a packet burst, I don't understand why I'm not having the same issues as everyone else but in Cold War it seems like I'm the only one that's dealing with lag, stuttering, and crashing even in solo zombies.
Im the opposite of u, I experienced packet loss, bursts, lag, stuttering, in MW19 and Vanguard but on Cold war I didn’t experience none of these and idk whats the problem.
I dealt with a stupid amount of crashes on cold war, but on vangaurd I've only had like 7-8.

Thanks for the review. I stopped playing COD 2 years ago because the quality of the games just tanked. I was going to get back into COD with Vanguard but I'll save my money. The gaming communities apathy for these poorly developed games had given developers and publishers carte blanche to roll out shitty games knowing that people will still buy them. Is it any wonder we keep getting these awful releases?
The packet burst comes from texture streaming. The textures are no longer in the game files and are streamed from the activision servers when the game is booted.

I am sorry to hear you aren't having a good experience, but I could not disagree more with your review. Even with the bugs, this is the most fun I am having with a Call of Duty MP in years. Maybe it's because I have yet to experience any game breaking bugs, minus being halted with camo challenges. But my game has never crashed and/or lagged out, so the issues are more goofy than anything else. I have gone off meta with weapons and don't feel burdened by the STG44 and MP40 at all either. Automaton is great, and once you discover the AS44 is best as a burst rifle, it absolutely melts.

I bought it in ps5 nero and my experience has honestly has been great. I’ve had the game crash once on me I’ve had one packet burst game where it was bad the maps are fun and enjoyable they are okay maps. The only thing I wish they can change is the weapon leaving its ridiculous 1000 kills to get max level and to get gold is ridiculous. But I haven’t encountered any bugs it could be a pc thing but great video man

I knew the second they were promoting that “This Game has 20 maps” wow.. Cool what are we playing for exactly? Atomic camo isn’t worth the grind in my opinion. There’s literally nothing to play for lol.

Personally I'm enjoying it, I actually enjoy the multiplayer more than MW (MW has the better campaign though) and I'm also enjoying zombies despite how barebones it is, it's not the best CoD game but I do like it.

It sometimes makes me think that my screen went up because of the motor directly hitting you and the shakiness
It's great if you can put it down(I've seriously gotten up to 20 kills with it before) but trying to place it down can get you killed 5-10 times in a row.

Imo in one day of playing the game I have had a good experience, I haven’t experienced any bugs or glitches, the movement is so much better than Cold War, and I haven’t crashed my game a bunch. Everyone has different opinions so I’d say get the game. Zombies is bad but it has a good campaign of what I’ve heard of and multiplayer is very fast paced and I haven’t been into any games with campers. Sbmm hasn’t been much of a problem yet and the maps imo are pretty good. People have been saying graphics look bad but I seem to like them and they seem very realistic. But like I said this is my opinion and other might have different opinions than others.

I would just say when it comes to gun balancing, we always have brutal OP weapons in every game, that’s usually cause it’s the first time hundreds of thousands of players are playing and devs use that to balance, give that 2 weeks i would say

This game reminds me of mw2 in the way that every weapon seems OP. Except this game takes it a step further and allows you to kit 10 attachments that make these guns even more broken… bugs aside I’m loving this multiplayer not gonna lie

Level 60 camo challenges include an attachment that DOESN'T UNLOCK until level 70. This means you can't do the last 3 camo challenge sets until max level. I'm like, WTF?!
Honestly I enjoy vanguards multiplayer, and I’m glad I do, since as a zombies player, the game would’ve been a huge disappointment for me otherwise.
I made the mistake of buying it before watching the trailer. If you go to your Microsoft account and click the billing option you can request a refund and they accepted my refund request immediately so if you wasted your money on this you can get a full refund as long as it’s within 14 days of owning the game.
I was debating buying this game. I heard this game was broken but didn’t know it was this broken. I am glad you did a review of this. I won’t be buying this game until it’s fixed.

Good idea. I have a 3090 and still have had a few crashes. Best thing to do is wait for abit maybe get it on a black Friday sale or Xmas sale. Will deffo be a lot better after a few well needed patches, so the game can be balanced. Cos atm it isn't.

I've been playing CoD for more than a decade, and I've never been this mixed about a CoD game. I didn't think it was bad, but this game is a good example of why they should stop releasing CoD every year. I would've rather them keep updating CW for another year and then release the next game in 2022.
As far as the campaign goes, I thought it was alright. I did get some vibes of classic games like Finest Hour and COD2, so I do appreciate the nostalgia but the campaign was way too short. Multiplayer is decent but kind of a step down from CW. Of course Vanguard is still new so they have plenty of time to redeem the game, but this is my stance as of this moment. My overall complaint is just that it doesn't really offer anything new or special. It's just kind of another CoD game, and I'm sure everyone will forget about it in 5 years.

What they should have done was give MW another year because Cold War had to be developed a year sooner and through a working at home pandemic. Skip Sledgehammer’s dev cycle altogether and then this year we would have gotten Cold War in a solid state.
I have to say the game is not good to purchase for zombies or campaign right now, mp is pretty good though. On my ps5 I haven't had a SINGLE problem or crash. The camo challenges being bugged sucks though, along with everyone running around with glitched out camos unlocked early.

I feel like I'm playing a dev build. There are unfinished textures that cut off and repeat, areas where textures are missing, dogs take an entire mag to kill, then kill in one hit with a sound that quite literally sounds like you're getting smacked in the cheek. This is an insult!
I think the game is really good, I’m enjoying it a lot more than Cold War, however if I select a certain character to play as I’m the multiplayer, it crashes and says ‘Dev Error 5573’ soon as I changed my character to someone else it’s been completely fine !
I mostly play F2P games, because that’s the model of gaming I’ve started to enjoy more. I haven’t bought this and likely wont be. It’s my first CoD I haven’t bought. I can’t even say that I feel like I’m missing out. I stopped playing Cold War after 2 months

I’m an avid COD hater and if you bought Black Ops you should 100% get Vanguard. The graphics are awesome and gameplay is fun.
I personally haven't experienced any crashes and very minor packet bursts. Idk why I'm "lucky".
But I must say this is the MOST fun cod I've played on years. I liked MW2019 a lot and this game builds off of that core and makes it better.
The bugs are annoying (camo and perk ones mainly) but they will be ironed out soon. Still I feel like you are trying to drag this game more than you should. MW2019 and CW had plenty of their own launch issues that was ironed out quickly.
I would say that buying after season 1 SHOULD hopefully be the game you've wanted and expected from SHG. Hopefully being the key wording.
I've noticed that half the match is the operator Halima which you're not supposed to unlock unless you get 50 prone kills. I rarely see people go prone in the game. I know it happens but people had her day one. I know it's a glitch bc I had her unlocked after 1 round of mp and I didn't go prone once in the whole match.
I've also noticed in the challenge section a lot of challenges clearly aren't working. I mainly play dom and the challenges for it aren't tracking.
There is a lot of broken stuff in this game and the stg is way overpowered not to mention there's a bug with a certain attachment and the vital perk where it makes it a 2 shot kill weapon. It's like a sniper. I die instantly in so many gun fights to where you'd swear I got sniped but nope, it was somebody with a STG.
I'm having fun and there's a lot of content which is unusual when looking at the last few cod games. And there's a good selection of maps and most are good. We haven't had more than 1 or 2 good new maps in a cod game in a while so that's saying a lot.
The bugs and broken stuff in this game are whats holding in back. Another month or 2 after some patches it'll be a good game. It's way better than cold war and mw2019.

I got annoyed by quite a few lvl 1 hackers with [SHG] team tags all wielding the atomic camo mp40s or shotguns aimbotting everybody in Das Haus left and right. Reported them too. And all that on the ps4... Do we have hackers on ps4 now, or are they real Devs just taking the piss out of casual players?

The stg with vital and the 30 round Russian clips are beyond OP. I'm not a propoent of nerfing but man your at suck an advantage with that class. It's a 2 shot kill. I feel dirty using the class.

Idk if it’s just me but my packet burst and latency is unreal. The game is basically unplayable and idk what to do. It might be my wifi but this doesn’t usually happen. If my game isn’t laggy I think it’s pretty decent for the most part ignoring the glitches.
Nope not just you. The packet bursting for me felt slightly reduced after connecting up my console via ethernet over WiFi, but its still very frequent and regular for me.
This is going to be an EXTREMELY hot take ,but I'm glad there is the atomic camp glitch. I don't wanna have to grind just for there be even better camos in the shop

I personally haven’t had lag or crashing issues but I agree with the fact that there is little weapon diversity with the exception of a few weapons and I agree with the fact that people who use the MP40 are annoying because I use it with speed and accuracy combined which makes for some really good rushes.
My favourite CoD since WW2, just fun plenty of things to grind, loads of maps and I even find zombies refreshing

I’m surprised to hear people are having crazy crashing issues. Cold War would crash for me pretty often but I’m almost done leveling up in vanguard and it hasn’t crashed yet. It has been buggy tho. I’m on pc and my girlfriend plays on the ps5 in the other room and we simply can’t search for a match together. We’ve gotten around it by having her search for a match and when she gets into a lobby I join her party. At least it works but Jesus it’s been multiple days since we could just join a party and search for a game and we literally are on the same internet
There are some valid points here and in the comments, but I honestly feel as a society we have become way to judgmental. Almost like some people are looking forward to bashing on games just because it’s the cool thing to do. It is annoying with the crashing and with it feeling incomplete, but honestly what is the expectation? These are games that are loosely based on really conflicts. You have a gun, you shoot the enemy. After x amount of COD Games, or military shooters in general…what exactly are we expecting? Again I agree with a lot of you guys and they’re good points. This is just my thoughts. Good video man

Nero, I love you but I think you’re way off here! I’m on PS5 and I honestly can’t remember ever getting kicked in game, although, I’m only about 12 hours in. However, I do have a lot of issue joining games sometimes with parties.
I definitely agree with the vital profeciancy. But it’s undoubtedly going to get balanced soon. Most of your complaints are about something that can be easily patched and will most likely be patched in the very near future.
I understand that you’re into grinding and getting mastery camos but the fact of the matter is that the overlords have moved on from that and it’s never going to revert back.
Activision makes so much more money from making sick and over the top ultra tier camos to ever give a shit about those again.

Everything that is wrong with this game is totally fixable. The weapon balancing is bad but like everyone else is saying, once leveled up, there is more guns that are just as good. Also like mentioned in other comments, the past like 5 CoDs there has been two or three meta weapons. The only thing I don’t like about the game besides the bugs are the maps. They have about three small maps and all the others are huge. The game was designed to play on the blitz pacing and not everybody wants that. Some of us just want to have a medium to small sized map to play SnD on. Some of us just want really small maps so we can get tons of kills and level up guns to bring into SnD. I feel like you really can’t do that in this game because every map is huge. Also, I think just like with CW, it’s getting a bad rap because it came after MW2019. This game isn’t designed to be played like MW2019 either and I think people don’t like that. But once the bugs are sorted out, the weapons are more balanced, then you’ll see people playing the game similar to how they played in MW2019. They could totally go and screw this game up but I don’t think they will. I think it’ll be a good game after a couple months. But personally, I am enjoying it. I’m a SnD player and so far the experience has been good. Obviously I’m tired of dying to the STG and MP40 but if it’s busted then I expect people to use it. Also like with MW2019 there was two meta guns but if you were good with the other weapons you could easily beat them. You just have to find what you enjoy using and get the right attachments.
