"I find them a little....mawkish and twee." Hilarious!
I had to look up these words but god damn its on point
I'm going to start using this phrase. LOL
@@tlrelement I knew the first, but just learnt the 2nd watching this
Irma: "You like little women?"
Leon: "F*ckin luv em. We call em m*dgets, or dwarves. I stack 2 on top of each other, make 1 whole woman. Tap dat @ss."
Irma: "No, we're talking about something different."
🤣
Definitely need many many more people like Leon in the upper echelons of government, law, newspapers, television networks, etc. And I'm not being sarcastic.
It's like that quote, which I can only paraphrase, about preferring the country to be run by 100 people chosen at random from the phone-directory than by 100 people who graduated from Harvard.
Credit card numbers, signatures, maiden names. Leon knows all that shit and he would never give that shit up to anyone!
Why is that part not in the video? Crazy
All effin and jeffin.
"Cheryl's beautiful..you're a handsome ass devil"..........
Leon is the ultimate wordsmith.
🤣
Love how Ted Dansen tried to ruin Larry’s life and now theyre friends again hahah
Dancing
Whaddaya mean
Welcome to Hollywood.
sounds like a danish guy
Teds one of larrys best friends in real life, plus one of the more talented actors that works on this show. Had to keep him in the fold lol
“One could’ve been an artist and the other three… housewives” 😂😂😂
Larry had a point, albeit badly articulated. All the sisters in the liberal arts? Should had one as a blacksmith. Maybe another as a chimney-sweep.
Even though Larry is only dating her to get the pool fence law repealed, him and Irma have great chemistry😂😂😂
This clip on Little Women is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in Curb. Top 5 easily. How he mocks the encounter, rushes the daughter away subtly, and the the mockery and taking apart of Little Women, while the daughter is clearly pissed off 🤣
@@zacharywhite211 - And the thing is - Larry's right!
@@wiseonwords the point of this show is that larry is almost always right
because they are both brilliant comedic actors
Chemistry involves heat...no heat there at all!
Did this man just answer a call from Cheryl in front of Larry WHILE asking Larry for a favor?
😂😂 I love Larry and his subtle nuances.
Not only is this Irma plot line hilarious, this character is far more the level Larry would be dating at if he had an average income. It is good to see it.
Also, it’s Tracey fucking Ullman. Comedy legend
Why is it good to see?...women that age are pretty well past the sexual aspect...Larry, like most older men, can still roll that way...so stop trying to put down older men trying to get next to younger women! Money is not everything!
@@curbozerboomer1773 Yeah who cares about older women right?
But he doesn't have average income, so what's your point?
@@curbozerboomer1773 no you can't lol (unless you're a sugar daddy ig)
If Larry eventually goes as far as marrying Irma to get the law repealed it would be the greatest thing ever.
He would 😅
It will get to the point where the law is just about to be amended to benefit Larry, and the only thing that could possibly stuff it up is Larry himself - which in true Larry fashion, he will.
He should, he's literally being extorted by the thief's brother.
If you think about it, it wouldn't help him. He would still be deemed responsible because the law did exist back then. Unless in repealing it now, there's an acknowledgement that one isn't responsible for people falling into one's pool.
@@MamadNobari i mean, what is supposed to do, spend 5k on a fence? A FENCE???
Most people have no clue that Irma is Tracy Ulman. She had an HBO series where she played about 20 different characters.
She is a brilliant comedian.
I didn’t recognize her until you said it. I haven’t seen her in anything in quite awhile.
@@GeorgeEugeneBarrett I was a teenager when I use to watch her show. My favorite episode is when the middle eastern men kept turning their cousin into the IRS. You don’t want me. I only have one hot dog stand. You want so an so he has 3 much more money with his stands. Lol
She was like the first show on Fox Sunday night back in the day when they came out wit the Simpsons
@@MrJaccTrippa chuuuuch!!! The Tracy Ulman show
The Simpsons started on her show!
Larry's 100% right about bruschetta.
Lol
The worse crime is calling it "Brushetta".
It's BrusCetta!
...as if there would be something WRONG with a tomato sandwich! i make them all the time
@@finnibatTastes like brushitta. Yuck!😧
“Brushetta” would be spelled “bruscietta” but it’s not, so Larry and the waiter pronounced it properly. Well, close. It’s a double “t” so it needs a pause during the “t” sound.
Larry’s assessment of Little Women is not unreasonable- maukish and twee😂😂
Yeah like anyone in their right mind knows what maukish and twee mean.
@@ccdogpark anyone with a high school diploma should know what those words mean. I suppose home schooled, otherwise known as morons don’t know
@@ccdogpark It’s mawkish and twee. And they’re not exactly million dollar words.
@@batgurrl
Sorry I guess if you live in one of the HillBilly states your kinfolk
teach you words like that, while you're diddling each other (?)
@@ccdogpark if you live in a hillbilly state it means your educational is sub par.
Uneducated hillbilly’s are not watching CYE, maybe some that went to an actual college could be.
Leon is one of the most underrated characters on TV.
1000% right about the bruschetta…falls apart after one bite
If your teeth don't break at the first bite, it's a scam to sell stale , hard 🍞 haha!
It's like, why pay for this half-assed attempt at pizza??
Food for people who don't love food.
@@seededsoul So much peasant food became "caché" and now food people ate because the ingredients were cheap and available is a "delicacy".
They also have a Margarita pizza which is like Bruschetta pizza.
Lmao I love how Larry mocks/encourages Irma it’s hilarious 🤣
Also I think Suzie counts as great lol
Yes, but it's also great that he explains why she's only ok :))
@@adrrda6091 Gandhi and Chuchill in the same sentence?! Arch Rivals.
@@amp7930 Ironically they'd both be disappointed with where their countries ended up being. With the rise of Right wing politics in India and the immigration crisis in the UK. If resurrected Gandhi would weep and Churchill would have a heart attack seeing a brown guy be the tory PM lmaoo
Leon's line about stacking two little women on top of each other might be my favorite line of his ever
Don't belittle little people...lol
@@sakabula2357 you mean midgets? 🤣🤣
unscripted genuine laughing from Larry at 3:59 makes it hilarous, he's trying to keep it in while the woman stares at him so pompously
"Making jam and cuddling with Marmie" dead.😂😂😂
I love Leon so much , can’t image Larry without Leon by his side now
I love him even more since he entered the room saying "what's the craic"
@@mariamcgovern9132 he said “what’s crackin’?”
"Cheryl's beautiful, you a handsome ass devil." 😂
Leon always comes in with the compliments ❤
"Fuck yeah, I'm already there" Perfect!
"Handsome devil." The Good Place reference. 👍👍
I love how "Diedre" subtly reads her lines offstage.
She's definitely looking at something outside the scene. Good observation!
I just cracked when Irma asked Leon if he likes Little Women, and his answer.. :D
Ted Doesn't Deserve Larry As A Friend
Leon’s attitude. 😂😂😂😂 gets me everytime lmaooo
"If I'm there that money goes back in your pocket. And some to me of course." haha, love Leon-hilarious!
Irma seems relatively immune to behavior that makes most people hate/avoid Larry. She forgave him for the "one vote" fiasco with hardly any effort at all on Larry's part. She also clearly doesn't mind his perpetual complaints and even agrees with him on a lot. Basically I don't think he could permanently offend her even if he tried.
Also Susie doesn't like Irma, and Irma seems to view Susie with some distaste as well. Anything Susie dislikes is good for Larry.
Irma is also, according to Susie, "very powerful" with her local political position, and probably lives comfortably, so it's not like she's only into Larry because he's rich.
They could be perfect for each other tbh
shes into him bc she doesnt have that many better options then
@@dofehino5444That goes for most people in a relationship
I can imagine Leon and Ted now going on a GTA style mission to a mechanics 😂 that dialogue was perfect
Forreal, JB is in GTA V, too!
I love the first minute or so. It has such a GTA cutscene vibe.
Jesus Tracy Ullman is talented! She is such an amazing actress!
She was an Ok comedian 20-30 years ago but she was always
a very average actress. She adds nothing to CYE beyond her
contribution to the storyline.
What did she do here exactly that was so special? Lmao
Tracy Ullman and Larry David are perhaps the two greatest comedic geniuses alive today.
YUP!
I'll believe that when she starts a show as good as Curb --not gonna happen, son.
Agree!
Had to look twice. It is Tracy.
@@hxhdfjifzirstc894she’s had many hilarious shows. Have you not seen her as Queen Camilla?. Google her. She been highly hilarious forever.
This show is gold
to larrys publicist...we love you!! ha ha we know larry never messes with youtube or twitter!! great clips TELL LARRY TO HURRY UP ON SEASON 12!!! :)
Larry is right on the money with Little Women, we had to read it for school and I thought exactly the same thing then but you were a brave man to bring it up as it was like criticizing the Bible in front of fundamentalist Christians.
What's a fundamentalist Christian?
Twee is a great word. I had to look it up.
I think feminism is a religion of sorts. Ideologies are a kind of substitute religion and they wanted you to read little women in the same way the religious once made sure children read the bible.
@@genxx2724 larrys always teachin us new words. I never heard the word "smarm" before the wedding in Cabo episode from last season lmaooo
@@colinwagner1714 Smarmy’s a good word.
Always had a strangely vague feeling there's something wrong with bruschetta. Thanks to Larry for clarification.
Never understood it.
It’s just half a tomato sandwich.
Probably the only show I can name with distant audible phone conversations.
House Husband...love it! Leon is so entrepreneurial 🥰
This is a viable job opportunity.
There are men out there that have always had desk jobs and can’t change a flat tire or assemble a bike or can’t tinker around with tools to fix anything!
So an extra husband in a platonic sense could be sensible.
😂
12/2023.........Tracy Ulman is great as Irma, she nails that character!
Great take-down of Little Women! It's about time someone said it.
:)))) I was literally killed on YT, when I commented that don't consider that book as world's classic:)))))) Hated Gretta's version Little Women too:)))))
@@LAZISH More of us should speak up and make our voices heard!
Can't get my head around the fact that Larry is dating somebody remotely his age - even though he is of course doing it for his personal gain
I *love this video so much!
Enjoy your “ evening “.
I’m stealing that line LOL
3:39 “mawkish and twee”: Had to look up “twee”.
This might be the best Curb season yet. Irma's probably the best character since Leon.
Leon never disappoints! :D
Nope...his character is not much different than that of Jack Benny's sidekick Black friend Rochester...based on sterotypes that are ultimately not funny at all!
Oh dear God, I can't watch him sometimes, I love this show
1:52 That was the funniest fake laugh from LD, sort of like a kangaroo.
Daughter is great in this scene. As for Irma, after years and years it is about time Larry dated a woman close to his own age!
The daughter is great in the sense that she's obnoxious in an all too realistic manner. She nails the role:)
Typical Millenia
Deirdre is played by Madeline Wise and I like her too.
It is about time, that age discrimination stops!...nothing wrong with Larry being attracted to ovulating females!...He is not ready for the Rest Home crowd yet!
Nah.. If I had Larry's money I'd be dating woman 1 third my age...
Maria sofia is gonna end up working out as an actress because of the sheer absurdity she brings it’ll be seen as avant garde and revolutionary
Holy crap...that might just happen.
I love Tracy Ulman so much!
M A W K I S H A N D T W E E
mawkish and twee... awesome
Never saw his shows. But my son loves it.
On vacation, my nephews had the show on. The one about watermelon.
It was hilarious especially the scene at the eye examination.
1or 2 ?
Glad I can see it on RUclips.
Stay safe
Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I agree I didn't think it would match Seinfeld/ it's one of the funniest shows of all time/there r times on Curb where it's rolling on the floor funny/ Seinfeld never came close to that level
tracy ullman so awesome
I was about choke on my dinner ...this video was about to kill me.
Larry: LEON, HELP!
3:05 Larry 🤣🤣🤣
Someone needs to set up ‘House Husband ‘ what a great idea !
Did you not watch the rest of the episode? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tracey and Larry. Who would have thought? Loving it
3:08 i have done that before...the show is so relatable.
Watching these rich people acting like $4000 isn't pocket change
I agree about that sappy Little Women.
“Handsome Devil” 😂😂😂 Leon and Tracey Ullman are hilarious. Where has Tracey been? Last saw her in the 90s and we can thank her for The Simpsons
she hated the Simpson shorts
Larry knows what's up with the bruschetta
Thanks to Larry my new phrase will be "twee"
I hate those March girls ! 😂
I luv Tracy 😂😂😂😂
One of my favorite scenes. Dierdre (?) is perfect.
thats a wendys cup and he also loves taco bell. leon is my favorite character
He had a 7-11 cup full of artificially-colored Gatorade-type fluid. I looked like coolant. He always has drinks from outside.
It cracks me up how Leon is always drinking out of that 7 11 slurpee 🥤 cup
Leon talking about little women 🤣🤣
Haven't seen Tracy in years. Nice.
Larry doesn't like bruschetta! Hahhah
Hurt my heart as an Irishman to hear Larry David call Churchill "great"
Well the Irish were pretty useless in WWII so you have nothing to complain about.
Great can also just refer to him being a man of stature. He was also a genocidal Torie wanker.
I knew LD would end up dating Irma I could feel the sexual tension right from the start... there is always a fine line between attraction and repulsion!
Still repulsion...I love Tracey Ullman. She is fantastic!
@@lenawagenfuehr53 Ofcourse Tracey is so funny!
He is only seducing her to get rid of the pool fence law
@@Neptunian65 Samuel was the referring to the character on this show. There is such a thing as character analysis you know, this being fake doesn't explain why he's seducing her, the _character's_ ulterior motives do.
@@Hankblue Guys come on I am at least as smart as LD I know LD has got an ulterior motive to chasing Eerima. I simply anticipated a date between the two which happened and was streching my imagination to think this might lead to romance... you never know.
Calling it a tomato sandwich is a write-up upable offense. Lol! It completely downplays that restaurants Bruscheta recipe.
I love Leon lmao
love how its the 4k copy of 2019 little women, the version which jumped the shark :P
You mean the one that got six Oscar noms, and won one?
Best Achievement in Costume Design, who knew
I think this may the funniest episode of all. Only comparison: the vibrating car seat with Susie in front.
The vibrating car seat with Susie was truly epic.
I also liked when he stole the 9 iron from the coffin. And the flowers from the street memorial.
The daughter's own pool fence will come into play later, I just know it.
Excellent!
You were right
I really hope that next season Larry sees some side of Irma that makes him actually like her, they have perfect chemistry.
The ironic thing is, Louisa May Alcott didn't really like Little Women either. She wrote it for the money.
Larry David saying "Marmee" will never not be funny to me.
Leon is the guy we all need around.
Oh man I love Leon as House Husband.
Leon’s t-shirt 😂
she reminds me of the comedians I keep coming across at the open mics 😆
wait what??
Black dude is a gem. I’d hire him.
I haven't seen this episode yet so maybe my theory has already been curbed, but when Larry went canvassing with Irma I got a hunch that he would start to crush on her and get his heart broken. Something in the way she said she didn't need to be in a club in order to read a book was just so fantastic.
She’s his match, as funny, and a foil. As crude, as Jewish, as eccentric. Hopefully he’ll make her permanent like Leon and Suzie.
Aww, that sounds very sweet and wholesome. I have a more cynical outlook.
He is only interested in “ romancing “ her bc he has the pool trouble, he didn’t have a fence and a guy died in it. He is only looking out for his a@@ bc she is a Counciwoman
Council
That’s a funky shirt Leon’s wearing
“Mawkish and twee”😂😂😂😂
"What a lovely daughter!" "Isn't she beautiful?!" Genius...
plays just like a GTA mission intro
"structurally unsound"? Damn!
Tracey Ullman ! fantastic
Generally speaking Larry puts his foot in his mouth but typically for good reasons. Drunk Larry? Both feet directly into his mouth just to show that he can.
When she said "I know Susie Green she's great"....
If Larry spoke half of what he actually does he might be twice as likable
This is like an accident, you can't stop looking.
