@@DjLota I assure you it wasn’t political till you decided to label it as such. It couldn’t be done by any other show in this era other than its Sunny or Family guy. Leon provides the comedic license. That is why it’s brave. In a time where Chapelle gets cancelled by his own school, they tackled a stereotype. JB still has a career. Larry could care less if they cancel him. The world is a punitive place these days.

@@DjLota I am sure there are other shows that can do this. However, Curb is still HBOs biggest draw for comedies. South Park to me doesn’t even belong in the same conversation as Family guy in terms of writing or audience size. Bojack and others you could list are great shows but they are not on as big a stage. All I will say is its great that there are safe havens at Netflix and HBO that will protect and foster creativity without woke surveillance executives killing the creative process. The only other time that entertainers were persecuted like this was during the McCarthy era. Thus, its brave to tackle these subject because you are risking more than a joke falling flat. You are risking your legacy and career.

It literally is a cycle of violence! The cows get forcibly impregnated mainly by artificial insemination, after 9 months pregnany the farmers take away the calf within 24 hours of birth. The calves are put into confinement pens where they get fed milk replacer. They are not allowed to drink their mum's milk as that is sold to humans. The cow will never see her baby again. There are tons of videos online where cows are running after trucks their baby was taken with and of their crying out. All male calves get sold for veal or shot at the dairy farm as they are seen as a waste product by the dairy industry. This cycle repeats every year. As soon as the cow is not profitable anymore aka she doesn't produce enough breastmilk anymore after 3-8 years of exploitation/abuse/trauma, she gets send to slaughter. Woody knows all that because he is vegan.

Larry's usually so quick with the excuses. A shame he didn't just tell him that the farm doesn't receive visitors as it's his personal oasis. If he lets him visit, then he has to let everyone visit and then it won't be personal any more.
Of course then we wouldn't have had that amazing exchange with the disgruntled farm owner about the grapes.

Literally in my whole life I have NEVER thought about eating watermelon in front of "wt people" as some sort of shameful act🙄 Maybe it's a African American thing. African and Caribbean people like me, eat it and love it. It's my favorite FOOD not just fruit. I could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's from Africa and it's actually an offering food in my Afro Cuban religion. I could never allow anyone to control my self perception the way this watermelon trope seems to affect African Americans. Watermelon is literally the nectar of the gods🍉 🍉🍉🍉🍉 🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺💪🏾

Watermelon is delicious when it's ripe, it's also great for your skin, it hydrates the hell out of you, it has antioxidants, it's good for reducing joint inflammation it's basically a Panacea in the form of a fruit. I always thought that black people if they were particularly inclined to eating watermelon would've eaten it for its medicinal value. I think that we don't actually think logically about why people have liked to eat things. We are just animals like any other animal, and it seems reasonable that we would eat things because we have certain needs and when we consume those things we have filter effects, and then continue to eat them

It because of racist stereotyping of black Americans i.e. Watermelon and fried chicken. This stereotype was used in various racist imagery to mock black people in America.
It's an African American thing. Caribbean Afro descendants love it and have no shame attached to it. It's my favorite Food, not just fruit 🍉🍉🍉
It's really a southern thing that blacks got tagged with during reconstruction when they went up North to cities from the South. Same with fried chicken. Very few Southern whites went there so the stereotype wasn't made. Believe me though, every ethnicity in the South is looking forward to watermelon during the summer.
