- A four-year-old leukemia patient in Albany, N.Y., had her wish granted this week when she got to "marry" her favorite nurse. WRGB-TV's Torie Wells has a very special story about the very special "union" between Abby and Matt.
Thank you Matt, the kids suffering in hospitals all over the world need more like you.

I think the emotional kick Matt gave this girl, might be far underrated. He gave her such a boost in confidence and the feeling of being loved by somebody other than your family is the biggest rush any person can get, no MATTer what age you are.

I don't think it hurts a child suffering from a serious illness who may not live long to grant her something that will buoy her spirits. I'm sure it would be a pretend wedding but that girl is battling enough as it is. I see only caring from one human being to another and it's innocent from the mind of a little girl. Like I said, I see nothing wrong with this. If it gives her joy then so be it. She'll never forget that special moment and needs all the happiness in the world now before she goes back to the Lord in Heaven. If my kids were still little and got a terrible disease I'd want them to feel all the love, comfort and joy from everyone to help them feel better.
