That's a great trick! Was hoping that would help my out in the PU but unfortunately I didn't get a performance gain, back to being patient while CIG works it out on their end haha.
i have i5 2400 first i have good fps and nothing get stuck but when i enter the ship and everything starting to happend the cpu goes to 100%!! before everything went smooth... what to do?
My machine doesn't allow me to change the affinity. I've looked up tutorial after tutorial for hours and hours and I've found nothing. I've messed with the command prompt, files, permissions and etc. And I've found no fix. I'm able to change the affinity for some of my programs but not for star citizen
Glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Damn game is near unplayable which sucks because my specs supposedly are beyond the recommended stats of the devs.
I cant change it either!!! Its becuase you don't have admin rights to change it I cant find out how to run it with admin because the game needs launcher to load game.
Its cuz the anti cheat. Some cheats change affinity in order to work but if you download process lasso (Its like an upgraded task manager) you can manually set your cpu affinity and ive tired cpu priority but it wont change
Well I just played today and it seems like when I untied 2 and re tick 2 another core starts doing 100%. they just kept trading off. I don't see a problem with it. I just want 40 plus fps so I can enjoy the limited gameplay of the updated game

+Norther no performance increase here either. Just didn't like a single core running at 100%
Still seems to be an issue. I have not gone into look at the cores, but I am seeing 100% cpu. Going to look into this, thanks.

ryzen 7 3700x ALL 16 CPUS are at 100% if i try untick any of them it says access denied.

it says for me my CPU is unsupported when I'm about to get into the game
right click closes details on windows 11 this is frustrating
2024 this problem not fix i have 100% on my i7 9700k it is completely frustating

Just got the game today and I can't even play it.
Instead of clicking affinity, go to properties/security/edit and check user permissions

I have 110% on all 4 cores and 87% GPU usage on the lowest graphics... Nice
increase graphic settings to max. it loads the graphics from your gpu to be calculated by your cpu. max settings reverses this.
doesn't work for a 4790k 5ghz
the game was propa maxing out my core yesterday and making the game freeze... I had to restart my pc several times
I think they are just not using CPUI Threading yet

Negative, no frame rate improvement. Not even sure this is happening anymore. Played over the weekend and did not see any of my cores at 100%.
Still no fix!!
