Here’s a big question for newbie traders: What’s the difference between technical and fundamental analysis?
Technical is strictly the chart. Fundamentals look at the business. So to spot a good day trade you want to combine those two together to maximize your opportunity.
Start with a low float stock, generally less than 10 million freely tradable shares. Then check if the stock is up more than 10%. That’s the bare minimum.
Next, is there unusual volume?
Look for significantly higher than the 60-day average value. You want to see 10, 100, or multiple 100 times the average volume.
Unusual volume means everyone wants in. That means great potential.
Don’t stop there! Is the stock a former run? Remember… history doesn't repeat, but it often rhymes. And is there a catalyst?
Is the stock breaking through a whole-dollar/half-dollar area? Is there clear support to set your risk? What about the quality of the setup?
Whew! That’s a lot of questions, and Bohen answers each in thorough detail. Tune in now.

Hi Tim! When you say “up 10%,” does that mean up 10% from opening (9:30am est) and if so, what time would you suggest to begin looking for the stocks up%? Or does that include pre market trading of stocks that have risen 10% by opening?

I am working on a watchlist of former runners, I have a few listed that I know of that I have on my list. My question though is there a way to set up a screener in STT or another way to help find these stocks in a more consolidated way?

@@Stockstotrade can I make an oversight suggestion. I use other software during a trade. And I love BNC feature. Is there a way the programmers and tech guys can make accessible the breaking news alert outside of the Stt platform? So users from different angels can benifit from your services without some of the excess charting software?
Not suggestions but more of a request or inquiry about the in app purchase feature.
