The 9:45 rule is simply waiting until 9:45 a.m. Eastern to jump in a trade. It allows a stock to prove itself.
Tune into the video for a chart example on Trxade Health Inc. (NASDAQ: MEDS).
Even though it’s sitting on the low of the day, this stock has a history of spiking. This proves it has the power to run.
That’s why it should be on your radar when it’s gapping up in premarket.
Say the company issues a press release at 8:30 a.m. … This is when most traders are prepping for the open. Once that PR drops, the stock can start to spike.
But as you may already know, you never want to buy the headline. Instead, take a reasonable approach. Look for key levels, then look to execute the trade.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of sheep traders in the market who follow chat room plays. Catch the video to see how this can affect the stock and how it trades.

Sometimes, every trade I take is different. But on days like today I choose to stay out. Giant red candles are not my friend. I didn’t trade at all today.
Used to when I started, was always back and forth and inconsistent.. probably more losses then wins BUT after adapting this rule I've found alot more consistent plays and it's been a top rule for me now past year
I used to, it usually didn't work out, and I'd have to cut for a loss. Waiting works, and longer time frames of 3min after the first couple hours seem to work better for me. Thx StocksToTrade for the content.

Yes and often in late if I’ve been watching a few(bad prep I know now), which mostly ended badly. This morning I drew a vertical line at 945 on my oracle scanner and restrained myself- up $300 this am👍🏽

The "9:45 rule" is "wait until 0945 ET or later to trade." At timestamp 10:32 he also adds "smart [...] traders wait for midday/late day and have [..more..] success.

Wow! Well said Tim, you sound almost like a fortune teller when you said this stocks always spikes back up after you are tired of bag holding and sell. That is exactly what happens. its like that are waiting for you to sell, then they spike lol. It feels like getting mocked at. I use the 945 rule to short. First, I mark the premarket high. If, by 945 it hasnt broken the premarket high, there is a strong chance of an all day fade, assuming it was up 100%+ during Premarket. If it does break the premarket high by 945-10, possibly a runner if it didnt run hard premarket (i.e. up only 40% during pm for example)

A.I. reads the reports fast based on key words entered by the market makers and pushes the market in a certain direction.
