Just finished year 7 on the i.Rallys, teaching and skiing. Just love them. Got a new pair of Magnum Supershapes as well last season, didn;t ski them much, snow was thin most of the year in the Northeast. Would love to get a pair of the eRallys for teaching. I'm 6'1" 200 lb. so they seem to be a good fit for me, the way I ski.
Great review. Is there a down-side of the protector binding? It looks like it's pretty easy to release with a little bit of lateral force. My wife and I both have the original binding but I believe you can just buy the protector to replace.
If there is a downside to the Protector, I have yet to find it. The imbedded slo-mo of the lateral release of the Protector was at the lowest settings to show how the release works. With that said, the lateral release setting is designed to match your traditional settings. So far, I have been running the lateral release at a 4, where my chart setting is an 8 and I have yet to pre release and I will not increase that until I come out when not expected.
If an instructor has these, he or she would be gone
Why do you say that?😅
@@carterfan80 I have these skis and very few people can keep up with me
I tried those ski's.. very bad experience )) heavy, stiff.. one turn ski really
The current generation? Because I felt that about the last gen, but I have found this generation being a bit more versatile.
@@skitalkdotcom current generation, what year is it from ?
5 foot eight 148 pounds, advanced, bought e- Rally 163's two winters ago. They seemed a little too stiff and serious, but I detuned the tips & tails and they became more civilized. I love them if it's a carvy day.
One negative, if I am carving like they encourage me to do, I get tired within an hour, from excessive G forces.
Yes, carving skis are all one-turn skis to people who can't carve. Turn radius on edge is determined by angulation instead of varying turn size by skidding like scrubs do.
