  • Segments in MailChimp are 1 of 3 ways to segment and organize your contacts. You can think of segments as custom filters that allow you to select specific parts of your audience based on the information you have about them. Once you've created a segment you can email all the people in that segment. You'll learn how to do all of it in this tutorial.

Great information thank you! The only thing that I would say is not clear with MailChimp is how to create segments based on the audience behavior with your Automations. Meaning, how to create a segment of users who never open you Automations emails (not the Campaigns). It seems that all the segmentation is at the end related to Campaign activity of behavior and the Automation bahavior is reduced to whether the user has started o not startedan Automation. Any thoughts on this?

I'm struggling bc I have created a segment based on a specific location. Then when I sort for it, it only comes up with 1 contact, which I know is not correct. How can I find those contacts to add if they don't come up? There isn't other criteria that I can use, the location is the very specific info that i need. thanks

I had created segments a month ago, but now MailChimp says "You have no saved segments". So I click to "create a segment" and it redirects to "All Contacts". Are you having this issue, too?
