We use a steam mop in our van with heaps of different cleaning attachments. It does everything, floors, upholstery, walls, benches, matresses, even a wire brush attachment for the bbq. The steam kills 100% of bacteria and gets any grime of any surface without any chemicals, and the mop heads smell like clean washing (because theyre re-washable).
Gumption is the best… it also brings stainless steel sinks and tap fittings up like new. Hey Bec, I love your style, it is how I get my hubby to do things as well, tell them how good they are at cleaning it. Lol, love it!
@@allthingsaustralia4861 scrub up the sink and taps with gumption, rinse off and dry with a cloth or paper towel. It is the drying part that leaves the new look 👍🏻
Awesome video as usual, a couple of cleaning hacks for you all. As space and budgets are tight, for most of your cleaning, floors, fans, fabrics and plastic make up a spray bottle with water and 3 -4 drops of Tea tree oil (natural antiseptic). For your bathroom to actually kill the mould use oil of clove, just a couple of drops on a cloth n wipe over surfaces with mould or subject to mould. For less effort on the bathroom floor use a Velcro disc on your drill with a micro fibre cloth. Essential oils are expensive but a little goes a long way and most have a variety of uses. With Tea tree, Eucalyptus and Lavender get the water soluble ones.
I started the 45min video thinking how on earth this was going to keep me entertained! Really helpful stuff guys, especially the roof vent cleaning, thanks so much 👏🏻👍
In the tone of Kath Day Knight, I've only got one word to say to you, "hand-held steam cleaner" 🤣 Game changer, you won't need half the cleaning products you have and literally everything comes up amazingly clean 👌
Thanks for putting up the vid with some handy tips for cleaning we have just been cleaning our 24ft van and great tip on the best product to clean the water tanks have three of them to do sounds easy enough which I will need to do at some stage thanks heaps mate good to see you cleaning I have to do alot more my wife just said to me watching this vid thanks mate 😂👍
Thanks Justin and Bec, I knew I'd seen this vid yonks ago, my fan blade had come loose and making a racket. I couldn't work out how to pull it apart. Found your vid, Followed your instructions, clean and re settled the fan . 🥰. Thanks again !
When you were undoing the screws to clean the carafan filter and you whistled, my dogs went crazy and started barking at the front door. 😂😂 Thanks for all the cleaning hacks, will help my partner and I when we get to travel. 😁
we use red cordial in the water tanks it seems to work and is easy to get 1lt of cordial in to 60lt tank fill with water drive around the block to mix then run the mix through all the water pipes drain tank refill the water tank and drain tanks dry job done if you forget to drain the tank its all good just have pink water lol love your work stay safe
Red cordial is food grade cemcals not natural so it can be use to neutralize things in bore water also not good for kids that are hipposctve have a read of the ingredance on a bottle next time you seen one at the grocery store it will shok you
I love our Dawoo mini, I’m with you the last time I had to use a washing machine was it..old mate had all his old fishing gear in it and all the signs don’t wash your dog blankets🤑 and do t forget sometimes it’s up to $5 a load to plus dryers sometimes..
Really good info on this vid. The cleaning problem I have is with the window white pull up flyscreens they are streaky and no matter how much I have tried to gently clean them they are still stained with streaks and spots and because they are soft you cant press firmly on them so have to be really careful not to damage them
Guys I’m in a bad space in my head due to being forced into being vaccinated and to sit and watch u guys clean ur van lol was so wonderful full of great tips and I just enjoy watching u guys each week thanks heaps for the greatest channel around love ur work 🤙🙏🇦🇺❤️
Another great episode. 😀👍 FYI, late model iPhones have a barometric pressure sensor in them, it should show the pressure increase inside the van with the positive pressure fan on compared to it being off. 👍
Hi Justin, in your video when cleaning the fly screens of the revisable exhaust fan in the shower, you mentioned you've not used the fans in reverse, and not sure why you would? we find it really comfortable on a hot day having a shower with the fan reversed, passing a soft breeze over you while your wet really helps cool you down.
Similar to Gumption, we use Barkeepers Friend on a damp microfibre- especially amazing on stainless and shower screens, and it’s a dry powder in a shaker can, so lasts for yonks without having to worry about it going dry.
When I built my van I fitted a 5 kg top load ,last of the Proper agitator model, best thing I did, Sadly it doesn't work anymore ,after 14 yrs. Yes I am an ex washing machine mechanic, so I was able to repair several problems over the years. Cleaning my pet hate, 😂😂🇦🇺🤠
Hey guys. I love this vid esp how to clean the sirocco fan and rooftop hatch. You have just made my life soooo much easier. PS: Gumption is the best stuff ever invented!! 😂
Thanks so much for your tips Justin 👍. I love how u can pull apart the fan i can now do it with my new black Scirocco 2s . And good old gumption for the shower floor your a bloody legend old mate😉 I look forward to seeing your tip videos THANKS.
Keep up the good work, the tank cleaner looks good,I will give it a try, we normally poor a cup of napisan and rinse, I use hallmark leather cleaner from Bunnings on all our leather, car, home lounge and caravan, about $14.00 from Bunnings, way better than the $70 leather clean kits, really comes out supple
Next job will be a cleaning agent salesperson. “But wait there’s more and if you call within the next 20 minutes for our introductory offer”. Love it guys keep up the great vids
Good tip on the sunlight hatch. Was wondering how that all comes apart. I have a Sunseeker, yours obviously has done the hard yards up the Gibb and it seems to be holding up well. Thanks for all the cleaning tips. 👍 Enjoyed the video.
Re cleaning white surfaces: try using ‘Magic erasers’ which are white foam looking squares. Only require a little water and less elbow grease. They work a year 👍🏻
I just wanted to say that I love watching all your trips. We’ve just finished watching Gibb river road where Bec had a cold sore. My husband and I get them and take a course 3 tablets all at once and it knocks the cold sore on its ass very quickly. The name of them is FAVIC it’s a chemist’s own brand but they work and just wanted you to know.
Thanks for this video which I was going to skip and then I saw that you show how to take the coframo sirocco fan apart for easy cleaning and was so glad that I watched and learned! Happy travels from the person with the sparkling clean white fan 😁
For Cold Sore's.. when I feel one coming on... dab it with Lavender pure essential oil, with cotton bud preferred.. every few hours. If you get it early will fade away.. Though keep up the lavender till there is no soreness. Increase Zinc intake and Hydration. Being mindfull of both along with heat. Check back few day's prior to note what caused you to be stressed, i.e. long walk in the heat with low water intake or few too many extended happy hours. Or rushing to timetables. Whatever consider your hydration and zinc levels more so in extreme times. Raising ones VitD level to 70-80 range results in higher immune system and health.
Hahaha, you wash the floor the hard way. I use the green loopy rectangle microfibre mop on a swivel stick. When you need to rinse, simply peel the mop off the base and rinse in sink then stick back onto the base. Has Velcro at each end. So quick and easy. 5 minute job.
