people don't just watch for the building. they watch because you are a great human.
This is true!
I just watch the building. However, I think you're a great Human.
I watch you because you’re a great builder.
Exactly this. In fact, I'm actually not intrested in the building part at all and follow this channel only because of who Laura is as a person.
Laura, I know how it feels to see it from your perspective, where we're being generous with our time by watching your videos, but when yours come out I drop everything for the privilege of watching you inspire me for 10 minutes at a time. The work you do, and the art you make, has directly caused me to make my own work. The way that you see the world is communicated so clearly through the things that you create and the way you show us how. I'm incredibly grateful that you share those things with us. Please never stop building the world around you
❤️❤️❤️
You have a boatload of fans because your content is more than just build videos. Mahalo for sharing! : )
I agree 100%
Watching over breakfast with my wife.
The end brought tears to both of eyes. 😍❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Great workshop upgrade, screw storage should never drive you nuts.
(I’ll show myself out.)
Seriously, thanks for all great videos, you’re a great source of inspiration. Keep up the awesome work, we will keep on watching!
You sure were not screwing around while being punny.
If your screw storage is driving you nuts you need to put your nuts in the screw storage.
No!!!! :-D
Anyone complaining is simply struggling with some loose screws.
I love your idea of the slide out trays so you can open the bins right there and have access to the hardware that you need without having to carry the bin over to the work bench. Good stuff, I hope to see many more of your videos. Thank you.
Thank you Laura for creating and encouraging engagement from so many newbie/experienced Makers from all over the world in your live chats. Your shout out to your supporters was so touching. Merry Christmas!
What a warm emotional outro.. Thank YOU Laura for being an example for us of a person who loves their work. It is inspiring
Thank you for sharing a moment with us! Your work also means a lot to us! Xxx
Love it. I too enjoy sorting through screws and putting them away, the pleasure of being able to find what you want straight away is well worth the hours mucking around sorting out your box of random screws.
Thank YOU Laura - I've said it before: You (and all the others in the Maker community) have played a huge part in keeping your viewers positive and optimistic during these troubled times. Happy Sunday, and Hapoy Xmas :)
Laura your gonna make me cry. Just keep making videos. Thanks!
Thank you for providing an outlet, an education, and a release with us. I can not do as you do, but through you I can see the world in a new way. Being a Maker means creating, and for me, you created joy. Cheers and I hope you continue to inspire for years to come.
The pull out shelf is BRILLIANT!
Thank YOU, Laura. You, Jimmy, Simone, Adam and all of the makers and content creators on YT have created a very necessary safe space to escape to during this past year. 2020 has been pretty grim, but it would've been so much worse if it hadn't been for you guys doing your thing. Thank you.
Laura, there is a reason you have so many viewers and sponsors. You are real and genuine, happy, a dog lover, inventive, fun and on and on. I can appreciate your emotions coming up which simply shows your genuine self. So we do love you and just to thine own self be true and you will have us as long as you will have us. Love and Happy New Year. Lee
I like how her drill-stop tape also serves to sweep the chips away 6:36
Wow . I never thought you can get emotional like that . Keep working . We love you .
Laura, I truly hope you know how much your videos mean to us, and how the inspiration and just plain cool builds help many of us look forward to a day when we can take an idea we see, or even use a method taken from you to build our own idea. You inspire us to look forward. Thank you!
I watch because I don’t have space for a shop living in a 500 sq ft studio in Seattle but I love seeing how you turn trash into functional art. You are creative, think out of the box, and have such an ability to look at something someone has thrown away and picture a way to bring it back to life. Thank you for the small bits of time each week for me to forget about the world and just watch you play in your ever growing and enviable shop.
that end was adorable !
Keep up sharing your work, and we will still get inspired by it !
So many of us all over the world are living in very troubled times, politically, socially, medically.. watching people like you make things reminds us all that we do not have to wait for governments or corporate conglomerates to do something - that we can each make small changes we want to see in our world (I mean, competent governments are a big help, don't get me wrong..), and if nothing else, it is great escapism for many who are having a difficult time. All the best to you and Ellen!
You're awesome, it's what you are standing for. Thank you for making.
We wouldn’t keep watching your videos if you weren’t such an engaging, creative, positive, funny and, as far as I can tell, extremely kind and sweet person. Thank you for helping me keep sane this year! ❤️
The honor and privilege is min., Thank You for your inspiration of us.
What an amazing human you are showing your vulnerability and gratitude. We as your viewers are even more lucky to have you than you are us. You’re an inspiration! Keep killin it Laura!
You’re awesome! Love ya sis!
Thanks bro! Miss you!
Oh Laura the end of this video is so touching. Your videos are so helpful getting through this aweful year with covid and trump. You are an inspiration!
so strong, so brave, so passionate. thank you for everything. 🙃
Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your videos, especially those about refurbishing your 'new' home. I like how you deal with adversity, finding solutions and how you deal with the team. Nice that you show the German spontaneous pieces in it. I'm from the Netherlands myself. I watched a lot of German television as a child and can therefore understand it reasonably well. I also looked at the program with the mouse a lot. I'm a lot older than you so I've never seen you in it but I really like it that you are in it.
That's because we love Laura and her channel so much.
It's not just the creative projects, the great camera angles and the beautiful music.
Above all, it is the friendliness and the humanity that make up this RUclips channel.
Laura, for all of this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish you and Smudo a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you Laura for all the fine moments off watching your video's..
Don't worry, I started tearing up way before you did 😁 Thank you for your hard work every week, which gives each of us a few minutes of escape from this crazy 2020. It's an added bonus that this escape is always to a place of creativity, usefulness, craftsmanship, and beautiful art! You help get us through it as well ❤
I came here not expecting to cry!
Laura you're amazing and I love you and your work! I'm a long time fan 🥰
Your videos are incredible. Very well produced ... congratulations.
Thank you Laura! I love your work, but I stay because your are such a wonderful person. God bless!
What a sweetheart you are. You mean a lot to us too.❤😊❤
You actually make it possible for me to keep working. Your videos give me the inspiration I need to push by building, creativity and overall skill further. Thanks!!!!
My 5 year old loves your videos too
Simple fun! And at the end all I can say is "Vielen Danke für diese videos und viel Gluck für Neu Jahre!"
Ok Laura! You’re now making me cry too. I watch your videos all the time and I am so envious of your innovative spirit and craftsmanship. Thank YOU!
You became a roll model and a big inspiration for me and many people around the world. I can't stop watching your content and learn from it.
People like you change the world we live in. 🔧🔨🌎🌏🌍
keep the hard work and 💡crazy ideas.
The pull out shelf is genius!
That lower shelf is brilliant, great to see that functionality built in to the system itself
The end was to much for me, I just had to shed a couple tears with you.
Thank you for your epic videos :) they made 2020 a whole lot better!
"If you have something but you can't find it, you haven't got it" Is what got me going on my storage system years ago
Keep up the great, inspiring work, Laura. Here's to a better 2021.
This is the fourth or fifth video that I've seen. In all of them you break down your mental process of the build and that's cool. But more importantly, you have such a gentle, kind, and humble soul. That's what keeps people watching.
Love from Mexico, congrats you have an amazing channel!
Another perfect(for the moment) solution. Love your screw and bolt supplier. I grew up in a small city in Saskatchewan, Canada. In this city was a hardware store that was stacked floor to ceiling with everything imaginable. The owner used to say, "If I don't have it, you don't need it." The amazing thing about this little hardware store was that the owner knew where everything was and could point you n the right direction in a matter of seconds. Keep up the great work!
I love these stores!
These are great. I'm totally making a stack for my shop. (and thanks for the ending statement. Love your work.)
Bless you, Laura! Good to watch your work every time!
Fantastic work Laura! =D
You made me tear up too with your heartfelt thanks. You are very welcome and it is a joy to watch your videos. Thank you for making them all through this crazy, terrible year.
❤️❤️❤️
Liebe Laura: DANKE 🙏 mehr muss nicht gesagt werden 😉
Liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz
Chris
The lump-in-your-throat feeling of gratitude is mutual Ms. Kampf. Thank you for the years of beautiful Sunday mornings.
I always thinks - If you can't find it, you don't have it!
I've been slowly investing in Raaco Boxes which are very similar to Tanos/Sortimo. They also sell a range of smaller cases and tool boxes which work with their system too.
I have been subscribing to your channel for several years and each time I look forward to new projects. Super realized and good music.
I just realised that your shop has a pit. even more jealous now.
We make it possible for you to work but you give us joy and entertainment in these sad moments that we are living. So it's a win win relationship. And you are good in what you do so you totally deserve it, , so thanks to us, but thank to you a lot.
Your channel is absolutly inspiring, like is the "Raabe aber Kampf-Podcast". I wish you all the best for further projects 🙂
You are the best!!!!! And I have to say, that I have to say thank you because is you the one who share your knowledge. Beautiful as always. I love you.
Sehr schönes Schlusswort! Weitermachen!
Schrauben: Metallschrauben nach Stärke, ja, aber Holzschrauben mag ich nach Länge sortieren weil ich danach eher suche (damit es hinten nicht rauskommt was andererseits bei Metallschrauben ja immer gewollt ist).
I started watching your channel YEARS AGO because you made cool stuff and worked with Adam, then I kept watching as your style just hooked me - music, editing, lighting, graphics. I just love what you do and how your mind works.
You honestly helped inspire me to get into the "maker" world and start putting things together with my own hands.
Three or more years later and I can put together a nice looking wallet with relative ease when I knew nothing about it before.
So even though I don't have a shop, or work with wood or metal, I've been introduced to this wonderful world of making by you! So, I think what makes you special is your enthusiasm and innovation thats been consistent all this time. How welcoming you are to all kinds of people and opportunities with no ego or barriers.
So yeah, why wouldn't I stick around? 😊❤👍
...also Smudo. 🐕 x
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
You should lunch a t-shirt or a hoodie with: “Knowing that you have something and don’t find it is more frustrating than don’t have it” (It’s catchy like one of famous Diresta’s quotes)
The pull out shelf at the bottom is an outstanding touch!
You had me at "Hey everybody.."
:)
At **buffering** ...
You made me tearful too... never forget how much you help and inspire us
"Don't make me cry!" ...uh, Laura, we didn't say ANYTHING :-) You made YOURSELF cry!!!
Thanks,
I am outgrowing my fastener system right now. Since I have two Systainer stacks on casters for power tool storage, I will probably pick up a few Sortainers (less than you needed 😀). The big thing is they are really expensive where I live compared to the cheap ones that come with fastener assortments.
And Laura, we love you too and your videos are part of my Sunday. And that's every Sunday!!!
Do you want to trade a tin tin poster for your old tobacco boxes?
Im binge watching all of your videos by the way and I love them :)
I share your passion for organization, which is why I have a lock on my shop door. Not everyone in my house is organized and I need a space that I can totally control down to the nuts and bolts!!!! If I didn't have that I would go crazy! Thank you Laura for every vid you share with me. It is like group therapy sometimes and I love every moment I get to share with you virtually.
Hmm, "Screw storage!" seems to be my shop's overall organization philosophy...
Laura, we are all in this together. Thank you for all you do to make the planet a better place for all do!
Tanos: I am inevitable...
One snap of a finger and half of your money’s gone
Thank you very much, Laura, for being who you are. Thanks for your videos, I have a lot to learn from you. And please take care of your hands, they are "golden" ... I am sure that not only I at the end of the video cried with you ... Good luck, talented person.🙂
There are many makers out there, but few do the things you do with your videos. The style, the way the cuts often match up to the beats of the music, the tape with writing on it - not to mention your absolute passion for the process and the fact you aren't afraid to show surprise, frustration, and above all happiness when something turns out nicely.
You make making fun, not just incredible or impressive. So thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful end of year!
Your videos / projects are a "boost" of positivety and inspiration for me. So, thank you for sharing. 😎
We keep watching because you keep posting more great projects! Thank you!
Sometimes it's OK to cry. You are an amazing person. Merry Christmas.
Laura, Thank you for your efforts, your dedication, your kindness, your skills sharing. You are a real person. Respect and keep going. cheers from Luxembourg. C.
You made us all cry too!!! Happy tears! You rock, Laura. We love you!! Keep doing what you do. I love repurposing old stuff too!
I want to thank you for keeping us sane.
and we can make things from scrap .
I love such stores like Schrauben Schwarz. To me visiting such stores always feels like they're not just doing it for the money - which of course could probably be one of the main reasons ;-) - but because they really LOVE/LIKE what they do. Listening to these people, their service and especially the knowledge they have about the items they sell is amazing and I literally could listen to them for hours. Just to know what you have in stock in such a store and to know WHERE it is - simply great. And I guess they find a solution for every screw-related problem. So - uhm - ah, yes - great Screw Organisation too btw (yours) 🙂.
I just did this today with all my screws. I was so tired of having them in different trays and boxes. I happened to be at Walmart and came across those organizational boxes that are usually used for electronics, but I decided to put my screws in them. For 13 dollars I got two large ones that came in a pack. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of doing this. :)
The color coding is a great idea - easy visualization. You have earned everything you have. You have worked your butt off to get to where you are - lots of time and effort. Keep it up
I love this video. Organizing and being organized is such a relief. I so agree, not being able to find hardware or spare part you saved…it’s crazy-making. you already have but just can’t find it…organization eliminates this 99% of the time.
Also, buying a new one of what you can’t locate will also cause you to find the one that was missing. 😆😏
In a year where I've lost my job...twice... it is people like you who keep me believing and inspired to keep trying to live the maker life.
Very satisfying to watch. I'm currently ruminating on ways to organize my electrical and electronic components. So many shapes & sizes!
I enjoy watching you work with good tools.
And that heartfelt ending. Thank you back. This is good stuff you're doing.
Laura, much more than appreciate your incredible talent and skills, I would like to thank that for your simpathy and empathy during so dark times.
I'm absolutely sure that me and the other viwers of your channel are blessed with your positive energy and actitude.
Tschüss und danke! :)
Touching ending! I spent 1.5 hours searching for a copper pipe elbow yesterday, it really drove me crazy because I know I have a full bag somewhere! I ended up de-soldering an old one from a leftover piece. Today, I'm cleanup the shop. Cheers
Thank you for being: appreciative, an educator, a distraction, and for being positive.
Yeah it’s so hard to watch you every week! Thank you Laura! 👏👊
Hello Laura. I am watching you from France. I like your videos. I don't find practical the boxes in a workshop. It's very handy on a worksite outside. I use those boxes in my truck.
thank you anyway for your sincerity and I understand like you that we need each other to appreciate life. I thank God every day for the family I have and my friends. please continue to Carry on it's very interesting. Sorry for the grammatical mistakes, I am French....👍
Marry Christmas to you!
May St.Nick bring you lots of new tools, materials, ideas, and joy.
Interesting people doing interesting things will always draw a crowd. Keep up the good work and we will keep up the thumbs.
Lubya!!! Your videos give me a quick chance to 'wrap my head around' the stuff I need to do for the work week, and I'm less productive when I don't take the time to watch what you do... (I'm in IT, and sometimes, you just have to stare out the window)
Thank YOU, Laura! For staying interested in us and putting in all your hours of work every week for our few minutes of enjoyment 😊
You deserve it Kiddo , any father would be proud to have a girl like you . Keep up the goo work , you have brilliant content .
