Laura, I know how it feels to see it from your perspective, where we're being generous with our time by watching your videos, but when yours come out I drop everything for the privilege of watching you inspire me for 10 minutes at a time. The work you do, and the art you make, has directly caused me to make my own work. The way that you see the world is communicated so clearly through the things that you create and the way you show us how. I'm incredibly grateful that you share those things with us. Please never stop building the world around you

I watch because I don’t have space for a shop living in a 500 sq ft studio in Seattle but I love seeing how you turn trash into functional art. You are creative, think out of the box, and have such an ability to look at something someone has thrown away and picture a way to bring it back to life. Thank you for the small bits of time each week for me to forget about the world and just watch you play in your ever growing and enviable shop.

So many of us all over the world are living in very troubled times, politically, socially, medically.. watching people like you make things reminds us all that we do not have to wait for governments or corporate conglomerates to do something - that we can each make small changes we want to see in our world (I mean, competent governments are a big help, don't get me wrong..), and if nothing else, it is great escapism for many who are having a difficult time. All the best to you and Ellen!

Nice that you show the German spontaneous pieces in it. I'm from the Netherlands myself. I watched a lot of German television as a child and can therefore understand it reasonably well. I also looked at the program with the mouse a lot. I'm a lot older than you so I've never seen you in it but I really like it that you are in it.

Another perfect(for the moment) solution. Love your screw and bolt supplier. I grew up in a small city in Saskatchewan, Canada. In this city was a hardware store that was stacked floor to ceiling with everything imaginable. The owner used to say, "If I don't have it, you don't need it." The amazing thing about this little hardware store was that the owner knew where everything was and could point you n the right direction in a matter of seconds. Keep up the great work!

I started watching your channel YEARS AGO because you made cool stuff and worked with Adam, then I kept watching as your style just hooked me - music, editing, lighting, graphics. I just love what you do and how your mind works.
You honestly helped inspire me to get into the "maker" world and start putting things together with my own hands.
Three or more years later and I can put together a nice looking wallet with relative ease when I knew nothing about it before.
So even though I don't have a shop, or work with wood or metal, I've been introduced to this wonderful world of making by you! So, I think what makes you special is your enthusiasm and innovation thats been consistent all this time. How welcoming you are to all kinds of people and opportunities with no ego or barriers.
So yeah, why wouldn't I stick around? 😊❤👍

I love such stores like Schrauben Schwarz. To me visiting such stores always feels like they're not just doing it for the money - which of course could probably be one of the main reasons ;-) - but because they really LOVE/LIKE what they do. Listening to these people, their service and especially the knowledge they have about the items they sell is amazing and I literally could listen to them for hours. Just to know what you have in stock in such a store and to know WHERE it is - simply great. And I guess they find a solution for every screw-related problem. So - uhm - ah, yes - great Screw Organisation too btw (yours) 🙂.

I just did this today with all my screws. I was so tired of having them in different trays and boxes. I happened to be at Walmart and came across those organizational boxes that are usually used for electronics, but I decided to put my screws in them. For 13 dollars I got two large ones that came in a pack. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of doing this. :)

I love this video. Organizing and being organized is such a relief. I so agree, not being able to find hardware or spare part you saved…it’s crazy-making. you already have but just can’t find it…organization eliminates this 99% of the time.
Also, buying a new one of what you can’t locate will also cause you to find the one that was missing. 😆😏

Lubya!!! Your videos give me a quick chance to 'wrap my head around' the stuff I need to do for the work week, and I'm less productive when I don't take the time to watch what you do... (I'm in IT, and sometimes, you just have to stare out the window)
