Have you done the tutorial yet ? It really help me understand how to properly connect my combos ! Was gonna skip the tutorial but I'm glad I went back to do it, it definitely helped my combo game for sure.
PhazeBeast you can use the game mods (cheats) on some of the challenges mainly the gap ones, it’s still kinda tough as there are certain moves you need to pull off but it makes it a bit easier as the gap challenges are the hardest of the bunch
Tara Groves I got jack black unlocked tonight, here’s a tip for those struggling. Manual and grind balance at max is a must because you’ll want to make use of grinds and manuals a lot and specials are very useful if you time them right with grinds and manuals.
Anyone telling yourself you arent good enough to unlock this character, you just need to know three things: 1) No Comply/Bonesless, 2) Reverts, 3) Switch. Just look up how to do each of these and how to apply them. Spend 10 mins practicing with each. And there you go, you are on your way to being a Pro Skater.
An easier Downtown Dirty method is after you go into your first manual don’t go over the fountain and instead turn left. Upon turning left there will be two more rails going out in front of you, one on the left and one on the right as it’s a walkway to the street. Manual to one of those (the left one will be closer), grind one towards the end and manual towards a very small half pipe to get your lip trick. The Half Pipe will be in front of you, only a little bit to the right. Took me only 3 tries
There's an easier way to do Downtown Dirty As soon as you've done the Gap and went to manual, before fountain turn left, there's a rail, jump on it a couple times, cross the road on manual with speed from the rail, and do the lip on small quarter pipe ahead.
is it just me or are lip tricks kind of wonky in this version? They used to be super easy to do but now it's like I either go into a grind or my character just ollies straight out with no trick or anything.
Nameless Dread Yeah I’ve noticed it too. You have to literally hit it dead on straight for a proper lip. It’s much more sensitive than the old version.
There is a super easier way to do down town. then what he did, instead of going for that lip, head left and grind the rail to get out of the fountain area, you'll regain speed at the end there is a ramp, you grab the lip from that. it makes that one stupid easy. not to mention you can do all the gaps required for this achievement with mods on.

Good video informative for the gaps. But you made so many of these challenges way harder then they needed to be trying to "cheese" them. For instance the 25 skill chain with a special without using a grind..you tried to just spam multiply and balance a manual..just goto anywhere that has a kicker gap and a quarter pipe on each side and ride back and forth 3 times. Another in the mall why would you do the grab last? there literally a quarter pipe right in front of the ledge..do a grab + spin which gets your points manual grind ledge done. i guess that is what makes TH awesome is everyone finds different ways to get the same thing done?
In Philly and in Roswell you can easily do one vert trick / lip trick + revert first. In Roswell do a lip trick, revert and manual to the nearest trail to do the grind the opposite way
4:48 the easiest way it to do a 900 in switch which would give you about 10500 points, sum that with both reverts, the manual between those manual and the manual at the end plus the gap and you would get enough multipliers to reach the needed points.
glad they not only brought back Officer Dick, but redesigned him to be Jack Black. Wonder if Private Carerra is back too...they were the only unlockable skaters in the original THPS and came back for 2 & 3...sadly I've heard Spider-Man is NOT back in this remake/remaster :(
Unfortunately the only secret skaters in the game are officer dick and the alien. There's also the ripper skeleton but that's only from the deluxe version. So in all its only those 3 for secret skaters

You made the one for Downtown way harder then it has to be. You can just take a right turn and go to the ramps there. By going straight you make it waaaaaaaay harder.

Maka makes the pool jump harder for himself,theres a bump next to the ramp which also triggers the gap (use that instead)....also the manual stimulation one was the easiest as i got it first try but that may be due to getting so worked up over all the others
I started the combo on one side with one grab trick and a revert to build my special meter, manualed across, then bounced high enough to revert into another manual, then did a bunch of flatlands to gain more combo counters. Made it much easier for me, if you can make sense of this 😁
Nice going to do the challenges when I get home I just finished the sick scores on the classic maps the rest looked pretty easy going to be pretty easy considering how much time I put into all the Tony hawks growing up
E_Man310 they got sick scores for each character selection and for custom skater you’ll have to get the sick score on each map with custom skater to unlock jack black police officer but theirs other stuff you’ll need to do aswell
I think he means you have to switch the skater / create your pro and collect all the stat points with him/her. afaik the level goals stay cleared when you did them with any of the skaters

Ok- I SUCK at this game and only started playing without mods today- but after a few hours I unlocked Officer Dick! So anyone can do it!! Here’s what worked for me: I used free skate with mods for the Gap challenges. I used free skate/speed run for the others. I watched videos on specific challenges I got stuck on but my secret cheat weapon... For all the high score and combo challenges- I basically cheated and did the same thing for all... I just did manual tricks to get big combos and scores- took awhile to get over the 250,000 but if you add special manuals, it’s doable. Remember that the first run of your combos is the highest value so if I bailed, I just restarted the level and went straight into my manual combos to assure highest possible base and multiplyers. Remember these can all be done in free skate (speed run). Gives you time to practice if needed! So in summary, I still suck at reverts to manuals and actually playing properly but I got over the line! Hope this helps anyone that sucks as bad as I do!

I am a stupid idiot and thought I had to do the downtown one on the death grind Gap and not the dirty rail. I did this on my livestream for about 90 minutes before realizing that I was doing the combo on the wrong gap.
Having Hell in your video's title can lead to demonetization as an example for how rigid and ass backwards youtube can be. Swearing within the first minute of a video is also an instant demonetization most of the time. Despite Dick being an actual name, the algorithm will still tag it as swearing and since it was within the first minute he said it, he censored it to be safe.
I'm not far off unlocking Officer Dick, it's just that "Be Special" Combo is kinda Tricky Land as you can't use grinds, I'm going upload how I did all the Level Combos on My Channel if anyone wants see how I did them
You ever get this fixed? I emailed activsion multiple times like 2 years ago and never got it fixed. It’s the only achievement I never unlocked and it drives me crazy
@@RDDiablos couple weeks later and I found a fix, kinda. You can fully delete your save file on Xbox within the whole game card thing. You have to start fully over but I got the achievement to pop.
That was a great video the only thing I have trouble is revert to manual I don't know why I can only revert to a manual like 3 times in row with backflips and any trick because i would lose speed or revert to manual would be unresponsive ending my combo by x7 but in Tony Hawk Project 8 I could do tons of backflip and tricks Landing a revert to manuel like 20x combos times in a row but with this game its too unresponsive

dpaul615 yeah, update. You just have to do the 25 challenges with a created skater. Beating the game with a created skater only saves you some time.
Didn't read all the comments, but you get more points on your tricks when doing them in a switch stance. 900 is 10,800 switch

So the sick scores on all classic maps aren't the regular ones u do when doing the runs collecting items ? They are separate right ?

You don’t restart the career, that was poorly worded, you just switch to a create a skater and do the specific challenges for it

When grinding etc without game mods what is a good trick to keeping the arrow in the middle
I am a stupid idiot and thought I had to do the downtown one on the death grind Gap and not the dirty rail. I did this on my livestream for about 90 minutes before realizing that I was doing the combo on the wrong gap.

Having Hell in your video's title can lead to demonetization as an example for how rigid and ass backwards youtube can be. Swearing within the first minute of a video is also an instant demonetization most of the time. Despite Dick being an actual name, the algorithm will still tag it as swearing and since it was within the first minute he said it, he censored it to be safe.

I unlocked Officer Dick but achievement is stuck at 95%.... any ideas?
You ever get this fixed? I emailed activsion multiple times like 2 years ago and never got it fixed. It’s the only achievement I never unlocked and it drives me crazy

@@RDDiablos couple weeks later and I found a fix, kinda. You can fully delete your save file on Xbox within the whole game card thing. You have to start fully over but I got the achievement to pop.

the only thing I have trouble is revert to manual I don't know why
I can only revert to a manual like 3 times in row with backflips and any trick because i would lose speed or revert to manual would be unresponsive ending my combo by x7
but in Tony Hawk Project 8 I could do tons of backflip and tricks Landing a revert to manuel like 20x combos times in a row but with this game its too unresponsive
