Fun Fact: Katanas weren't made to constantly clash against each other like western swords did. Katanas were made for quick slashes to end fights quickly. They would break if they were used in prolonged combat like this.
Western sword weren't made for that either, why would you prolong a fight when you could end it with just a couple slashes or stabs? They wouldn't break from it obviously and neither would katanas, they're both made from steel for fuck sake they're not just gonna snap like a toothpick that easily, true, katana's were generally made from a lower quality steel but they weren't gonna snap from a fight like this
I understand why people don't like this movie, but my god I found it to be one of the most badass and unique Batman films ever made. The animation is BEAUTIFUL.

I believe a master once said that a complete novice with a reckless approach is often more dangerous than a trained fighter because no telling WHAT they might do with no direction or discipline that would make them act rationally and predictably in a fight. They might try something that no expert would be crazy/stupid enough to and pull of purely because of the element of surprise involved.

The attention to detail in this fight was really nice. Jokers smudged makeup, Jokers swords breaking after a long extensive fight, the fatigue Batman and Joker clearly have after fighting each other and the actual visible battle damage that can be seen by the end (of the fight, not the video), It’s just a really nice fight.
Except for the part where they kept smashing their swords into one another yet the blades came out fine, aside from Batman finally giving the side of Joker's a good shove.
The plot and the movie itself would have been better if it explored an alternative version of Batman born in Feudal Japan, like with Gotham by Gaslight

Samurai were considered honourable. Ninja use dirty tactics. Tbf tho samurai got up to some pretty sick stuff and could cut down anyone considered below their class for little to no reason.

This form is called Sengoku Batman in the movie. Ninja Batman doesn't appear until his armor breaks off, revealing ninja-yoroi fashioned like the Batsuit. The uploader got the name wrong, causing confusion for all.
We always see joker in his master plans or guns when really he’s a heck of a fighter I’m glad we got too see certain skill points here

I honestly just like how this shows Joker to be Batman’s greatest enemy. He’s extremely dangerous and able to match Batman step for step. Not exactly equal, but they are the ones who face each other often.

Anybody notice how Batman, wielding an actual kitana, holds it how it is supposed to be held. Joker however, holds his sword, which looks more like a pirate sword, holds it very unprofessionally, ready to run instead of strike, wanting to make the first move. A very good contrast between them
