But slowly, he comes to see that he and Gohan can learn a lot from each other, and actually... form a bond? What'll happen from here on out as Vegeta becomes a TEACHER for Gohan? Plus, you're forgetting about OGDB there was no Vegeta there. And he was originally supposed to be killed in saiyan arc but his editor and fans liked him at that time, so he was kept alive. Your theory falters at everything. He's not a mc, just a villian who turned good, like in every other anime.

The original Vegeta wasn't all this prideless. Not wanting to ask for help was something Vegeta hated doing. Vegetas attitude change didn't happen until after going Majin.

I do agree that vegeta can reach gohan in ways nobody else can. The way piccolo did when he was young except with the sayain button. Vegeta brings out the pride in gohan and gohan probably brings some of the inner peace vegeta gets now in the manga

SSJ3 Gohan beating hit when it took SSB Kaioken Goku to do that in cannon is kinda weird for the power scaling here. Not that its bad power scaling, but the fact that he got that strong with basically 0 serious training is wild to me.
Gohan in DBS was able to become ssj blue level with a single day of training. Despite just learning how to go ultimate again and barely being able to go ssj like a year before. This Gohan never stopped training, by dbs logic he honestly should be even stronger than in this what if.

Vegeta took 7 years to slightly surpass Gohan. Considering the gains Vegeta and Trunks got in the time chamber compared to Goku and Gohan…. Vegeta would probably hold him back. It wasn’t until Super when he could actually accept taking on a master that he could consider learning something from someone else.

I don’t know if this idea is interesting but maybe you can do a what if tournament based of every character in dragon ball sparking zero and if there is a story you could add that to but it’s just an idea
One could argue Vegeta insistence on Gohan pursuing his training would make the latter stronger. However i disagree, what really brought out the potential of Gohan was his dad's teaching. Vegeta may be a master tactician in battle but Goku understands what needs to be improved and how naturally while Vegeta only trains relentlessly. Vegeta only changed his approach when he started training with Whiz. And if you don't believe me just take for example the difference between future Gohan who grew up without his father and the Gohan of the current timeline. One died easily to the androids while the other beat Cell in his super perfect form with one hand being only around 13 years old or so.
