Dan, I appreciate all what you and the Danettes have done all these yrs. I was an intern at ESPN where I heard many stories of your career by the talent that was there. I have grown up listening to yall and am very grateful for all the yrs!
Dan, I feel ya. I am 68, grew up in Kettering, Ohio, right up the road from you at the same time. I live in GA now, and I first heard you on the radio at 96rock doing the Sports. You were great! I loved watching your career progress over the years. BIG FAN. I was trying work till 70 to get the extra SS, but after some health problems I said screw it and retired in April. I was able to get a package from my company (hardware manufacturer, big one) and I love it being retired. I am not a rich guy like you are, and I loved my job, but I love not doing it much more not it every day! I will miss you guys.
Dan you can't go forever but seriously this is the single greatest piece of entertainment today. Big giant hole will be left in my life when you go! Let's treasure the moments.
It will be 20 years since Dan left ESPN and did this version of the show in 2027. It makes sense to end it at that time along being 70. I will miss the show, but it has felt like it's been more of a slog at times in the last year or so. Especially without the AT&T money and special sets at Pebble and so forth, but sports will lose one of the best interviewers out there.
Been listening at work back when Dan was with Dibble. made the transfer when they were broadcasting from the home. even got an email in their early days from Paulie telling me to call in when they were desperate for callers. thankfully when Dan is done in January of 2028, i'll be retiring in April of 28. They got me through many a dull work day. if they ever did a cruise to say goodbye to their fans it would be packed.
@@chuck1052 Yeah, Fritzy is rattled. I mean they have a great gig. And the ride ends in 4 years.. now I guess Rich Eisen? No one does it like Dan. It's like when your favorite books end.. you're like now what?
Now, would this announcement be the equivalent of David Letterman announcing his retirement... or Jay Leno announcing that Conan was taking over in five years?
What will we do for basketball fodder after that? I've been watching/listening to the show since 2010 and I don't think there's any other show combined that covers as much basketball. Golf is second but golf is at least cool. Every year though I have to break from the show because basketball suks. Dan is undoubtedly the best in the business and I think was blacklisted from the Emmys by the big machine media. I call it severe envy syndrome. Will all the guys hang on to the end or go where the offers come from?
How many jobs give you a four years notice? At least Dan Patrick give his guys time to plan unlike ESPN gave to the employes they let go. The last year of this show is going to be crazy. That last week is going to be a tear of Joy and Pain.
Time to fully appreciate the next four years of these guys
Thank you Dan and crew for all these years. Thank you for another 4! We have to enjoy these years I'm sure they'll fly by
Let's go 💯
We want more than four more years. Please More. PLEASE
Are you begging? Seriously??
Get a damn life!
Gonna miss these guys

On this day we are truly blessed. Congrats fellas
Damn I for real is going to ball when I see ESPN doing a goodbye thing for Dan. What a journey. Enjoy these 4 years everyone. Dan is one of a kind.
Dan is a legend. Happy to see him continue!
The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be. Let's make these next 4 trips around the sun great while also honoring Qualcomm!
DAMN!!! 4 YEARS AGAIN?!?! COME ON DAN....4? Whaaat?

It'll be a sad day in sports when Dp turns the mic off for the last time
During that last year, the guests that will come on the show will be insane. Until then, soak it in and soak it up folks.
So, the classroom will be dismissed? Nannette's will retire too?
Life without the 'Dan Patrick Show'...IDK if I want to experience that...
Amazing! Best show!
Wow a big announcement. Congrats on being able to go out on your own terms.
He ain't there yet.
@@Vic-Vega I understand, but he's able to set a timeframe in which he's leaving and he's not being forced out or downsized.
Good stuff guys. Dan, been listening for a long time, its been great!
It will be sad to see you go but understood. You’re the best to ever do it - which you’ll dispute or deflect.
Way to not become Diane Feinstein.
Dan you can't go forever but seriously this is the single greatest piece of entertainment today. Big giant hole will be left in my life when you go! Let's treasure the moments.
Time to get a girlfriend.
Sports radio will loose a great one.
Todd is going to be stressing out everyday for the next four years
I just started listening to this show last year!😢
Dem dan. Dem dan. Hello Dem dan
It will be 20 years since Dan left ESPN and did this version of the show in 2027. It makes sense to end it at that time along being 70.

Dan For President 2024 ! 🇺🇸
What if y'all win that Emmy on that last year? Pie to the face you come back? 😂
Going to be so much fun watching Todd unravel these next four years!
I remember the very first days this show was on the air…..
hearing the end date made me a little sad.
Weren’t the first couple days in the attic? Or basement?
I think in dans attic
Sure Dan can do the show four more years. The only time he breaks a sweat is when Sandman takes him out to the parking lot to shoot hoops.
Sucks that these guys are now on the clock.
I was just thinking that too. They all looked a little nervous. lol
@@chuck1052 Yeah, Fritzy is rattled. I mean they have a great gig. And the ride ends in 4 years.. now I guess Rich Eisen? No one does it like Dan. It's like when your favorite books end.. you're like now what?
I retired at 52. If I could have had a fun job like these guys I would have worked much longer. I had a good paying job but hated it.
Damn I'm sad 😢
I will definitely miss you Dan. I've been a fan since the 80's when you were on CNN.
The biggest mistake is more than one entry.
Now, would this announcement be the equivalent of David Letterman announcing his retirement... or Jay Leno announcing that Conan was taking over in five years?
Isn't he 70 yr old
Dan will be the only one lefty
No different than LeBron James announcement that he's coming back 😅😅😅
Exactly right.
Dan should bring back his hair piece from That’s My Boy to hang up his hair piece for retirement.
What will we do for basketball fodder after that? I've been watching/listening to the show since 2010 and I don't think there's any other show combined that covers as much basketball. Fritzy should become the host. That guy is radio Gold.
The boys are checking their IRA's wondering if they're prepared. Gonna need another job!
Coincidence...Clarence Thomas accepts Venmo, too.
When this becomes the Nick Wright show, will they still be called Dannettes?
The Wrightettes
I hope Todd wins and quits!
More San Man interviews
One of the few good ones left.
Predictions for last show guest(s) ?
Maybe Shea in Irving unveils his face for the 1st time? 😂
This show should be handed over to the Danette's.
Didn't Dan just slam LeBron for announcing his intention to continue?
Anything that adds drama to the show is off-limits for criticism, apparently.
The Danette's can take over we will keep listening and Dan can still visit the man cave ...
Maybe Dan will do a Tom Brady
Or a Brett Favre!
Nooooooooooooooooo😂😎🖖🖖🖖🖖
lol
Dan’s afraid of catfish!
WHO HA
Might as well hang it up now: old and out-of-touch!!
How many jobs give you a four years notice? At least Dan Patrick give his guys time to plan unlike ESPN gave to the employes they let go. The last year of this show is going to be crazy. That last week is going to be a tear of Joy and Pain.
Whoever does these titles doesn’t know much about clickbait lol
