@@thomasfy4 That hit differently just now. My father is a police officer (rural area in Germany) and maybe on his last week of service now (different story). He was on a patrol car with a young fresh officer when they got a call of a missing boy with suicidal intent (left a letter and all), only 11 years old. They were the first to arrive to talk to the mother, examine the letter for clues, establishing is usual preferred whereabouts (the forrest surrounding an old castle ruin) - in the end it was all hands on deck from police, fire department ... helicopter in the sky, man trailer with dog on route ... then dispatch gets a call from a train driver reporting a small lifeless body on the oppisite track through the forrest. she was SO good in Broadchurch. like wow. she and David Tennant had such amazing chemistry as co-leads. she's so good at doing the humourous bits, but wow, when she finds out what actually happened at the end of the first season, I was shaking in my boots I was so petrified of her lol. it was such an amazing performance. Broadchurch is definitely one of my all time favourites. hugely due to getting to hear David Tennant act in his Scottish accent as well. iconic
I love Broadchurch - you really had no idea where they going! Olivia Coleman became my favorite actress watching that show. I’m so glad she got to play Queen Elizabeth in “The Crown” - she was spectacular in that role as well!
I love Olivia so much. Honestly.. Doctor Who was my introduction to British Television. She was on an episode, and suddenly, I saw her everywhere. Love her.
and right there shows just how mind-blowingly good Olivia's acting is! Broadchurch was phenomenal - I hope Jodie makes time. Side note - Olivia's earrings 😍😍😍
Strangely, I figured it out as well in the middle of the season, which is surprising bc I dont usually figure it out lol. Superb acting! Twisty. Loved it.
It's a different universe altogether. In the UK they try to present actual humans and in real life people appreciate when you're genuine. In the US everything is totally polished, cleared from human-looking flaws and imperfections - actors have flawless skin, the whitest teeth and an immaculate coiffure at all times, all very much already looking like in the Pixar movies. In no time at all, AI is going to replace the actors and everything will have a computer game aesthetic...
I am NOT a tv series watcher. My daughter nagged me, trust me, seriously nagged me!. I totally & utterly loved it. It was amazing & I was hooked & I don't get hooked!
Honestly they probably should've told the actor who did it, a large part of my problem with the show is it doesn't really feel like he's guilty at all until the end when he suddenly just changes how he acts
Annnnd NOW im ready to Broadchurch! It was always on the list, but wasn't ready for all the big feelings Coleman and Tennant will evoke, as great performers do. That plot booboo will support me. Its okay, olivia knows 😂
Genuine question: should I watch season 3? The first two focused on the one case and I was so into it (so good!!!) and it felt like a clear wrap-up ending…. Idk
The emotional impact of the killer reveal and the performance by coleman were unmatched. Superb television
She was just amazing in the role. Honestly, knowing that she was already aware makes it even more of a performance in my humble eyes.
Amazing “HE WAS 11”

I was *glued* to Broadchurch. It was such an addicting show and Olivia Colman and David Tennant were excellent together.
is david tennant related to neil tennant, the greatest musician who ever lived?

@@patriciaviles4033and the name he saw WAS neil tennant, so i guess you could say, in that way, they are related lol
MILLER!!!!!
Not making Olivia Coleman lie to all her coworkers, that must have been hell for her 😂
Right?! She doesn't seem like someone who'd keep a secret well, bless her. 😅
If I remember correctly, she even had a bet on with David Tennant about who the killer was...while she ofc knew and he didn't even know she knew :D
😂😂😂
I know! She must have been in agony not sharing that secret. Too much pressure for her! 😂
Ms Colman is an amazing actresss⭐️Good on you

I like how he said murrrder. Those rolled Rs. I loved his accent but had to leave captioning on.
Oh I love how animated Olivia gets
Jodi, I really hope you’ve watched it by now. The story is excellent and the cast is unbelievable! ❤
Broadchurch is such an incredible show!! I mean such brilliant writing and acting !
One of the best shows I've ever seen. I went to rewatch it recently and went "you know what, I don't know if I can do this again" 😂
relatable tbh! it's amazing but it was so gut-wrenching at times that idk if I could watch it all again
I know!! It’s so good but too much to rewatch w
😅
I remember that my opinion of who the killer was changed every episode! I think I ended up suspecting everyone apart from the actual killer! 😂
I love Broadchurch - you really had no idea where they going! Olivia Coleman became my favorite actress watching that show. I’m so glad she got to play Queen Elizabeth in “The Crown” - she was spectacular in that role as well!
And in The Favorite,
and in Tyrannosaur,
and in Landscapers,
and in Flowers (both series),
and in Fleabag
@@Tao_TologyShe was Queen Anne in the Favourite.
@@needamuffin Don't look at me how dare you!
Absolutely LOVE that show
Omg I never knew she knew?! That scene when she finds out lives in my head. Broadchurch is a realistic crime show. I love it.
Loved her in Broadchurch. My heart broke. Shes great in The Night Manager too.
Jodie, I too recommend you watch Broadchurch, gripping and devastating in equal measure. Olivia Coleman is a gift.
Broadchurch is what got me into watching British/Aussie dramas. Loved her performances in it.
I have to say. That was probably the Best mini- series I've ever watched. It was brilliant 👏 👌!
I love Olivia so much. Honestly.. Doctor Who was my introduction to British Television. She was on an episode, and suddenly, I saw her everywhere. Love her.

I have loved Olivia since I first saw her on this show! So happy she’s had so much success - she’s absolutely brilliant.
Both of the women are legends. Olivia is absolutely delightful.
and right there shows just how mind-blowingly good Olivia's acting is! Broadchurch was phenomenal - I hope Jodie makes time.
Side note - Olivia's earrings 😍😍😍

I love British tv! American shows just don't hit the same. I adored Broadchurch. There aren't enough shows for me to watch

It's me. I'm the one who keeps recommending.
That must have been SO HARD to keep a secret.
I loved the two seasons 😊
I love the show
Olivia kept a secret? Bloody hell!
Loved the show
Love Jodie and Olivia but these hairdos are insaaaaaane 🥳
Well now I want to see this
She looks great with blond hair.
"That was a whoops" 😅😂😂
That's like Mark Hamil having to keep the secret that Vader was Luke's father for a couple year.
Makes own note: do not get spoiled on Broadchurch, and watch asap.
Annnnd NOW im ready to Broadchurch! It was always on the list, but wasn't ready for all the big feelings Coleman and Tennant will evoke, as great performers do.

So cool❤❤❤😢
So the actor who was her husband didn't know at all until when? Do we know when he found out?
No pressure then 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰

Has J Foster gone into a different dimension where one day of ours equals 10 years there????
She already told this story on this show lol.

Jodi looks 100 years old
Jodi fostet is fire 😍

Who is the old American woman?
Thats jodie foster
👋. I DID !
Prisoner zero!
Didnt see it but I guess David was the killer.
Look good as a blonde, Olivia.
Did not enjoy Broadchurch very much. It started out well, but wandered off into so many blind alleys that often got no wrap up. Frustrating.
When was this broadcast?
Oh geez. 🙄
GRAHAM NORTON WILL FERRELL AND RACHEL MCADAMS EUROVISION 2025 SWITZERLAND HOSTS. LETS MAKE THAT HAPPEN MARTIN OESTERDAHL. MARTINS COMING BACK 😮
Broadchurch sucked.
Ok love all three of them❤❤❤ But can't stop looking at those incredibly beautiful earrings...
