Not sure about 2011 models but my 2015 does not require displacement of the pipes shown in this video. Also the drain plug is 19mm. Castrol Edge 5W/30 LL synthetic or the equivalent is best used in these high performing bi-turbo Diesel engines.
Same here but this presentation is very useful and well presented. The tooling sizes differ but the important aspect of location and removal are well presented. Great clip I think.
I have the same car, you dont need to loosen the philipshead screwes on the pipe, just remove the v-band clamp and give it a nudge and bend it so you can get the filter out:)
Hi guys I do apologize for the wrong oil in this video as it says petrol diesel it also depends on how many kilometers on truck just check with Supercheap auto or your local dealer for choice of oil
I didnt need to move the stainless EGR tube on my 2014 to get the oil filter out, also I recommend taking the bash plate off once, lose the sump plug permanently, I had a spare brass tap/valve fitting that went straight into that size thread, with a bit of liquid gasket glue on the thread. It's been such a great, clean, easy mod to the ute I've ever made I think.
I have a 2011 the pipe removal wasnt necesary. 7 liters of 5- 40 synthetic. Thanks for the video.
17mm and 33.mm on filter for me.

Had any trouble with the power steering pump before
That is the right oil
Says on the label VW 504 00/507 00
It matches what’s in the manual 👍
That's the oil I use in my Amarok, it clearly states that it meets VW 507 spec on the front, which is the oil recommended in the manual.
Don't need to remove pipe for oil filter just take it out
Don’t need to remove pipe ….
Good one mate, just bought Amarok and didn't know where to start from ! Cheers
Thanks mate, very handy!

I've got a Ultimate 580 and I can't find the drain plug. Help with locating it will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
2018 model
Svp comment ajouter l'huile pont avant Amarok
You're a legend, thanks mate
Quick and straight to the point
Exclude the type of Oil as this was the wrong oil my apologies
The oil in the video is what Penrite recommends
Thanks mate!
Cheers for the video man. Have you done the fuel filter on your Amarok? I’m just worried about priming the fuel lines after I change it.
