    By the numbers: diy uses 1oz. per cannon. MFP uses 2oz. per cannon. diy runs anywhere from $75-$90/gallon. MFP is $30/gallon. MFP for the win based purely on "VALUE". To increse that "VALUE" purchase the 5 gallon jug and it even gets cheaper. MFP seems to be about 30% cheaper even buying 2 gallons to diy's 1.

      Next Level is exactly as stated...NEXT LEVEL! Jim has done an amazing job bringing better products to the industry. The foam soap from their is one of my favorite soaps. For a standard old school bucket wash, Next Level Shampoo is amazing. Oh, try one of his yellow/gray microfibers... They are 🔥🔥🔥🔥.. I like them so much I just bought 50! Thanks for watching, be good!

    Why didn’t you say this was a sponsored video?
    There are a lot of cheap sugar filled soaps that work in a foam cannon. What’s important is lubricity, cleaning power, and safety. I doubt that cheap soaps can compete with quality like DIY Detail.

    • @detailit
      @detailit  3 месяца назад +3

      Welll... maybe because it's NOT a sponsored video... oh wait, yes it is... by DETAILIT.. Me. As for price and quality, I'm pretty sure that Mirror Finish uses quality stuff. Otherwise, they wouldn't have survived 20 or 30 years in the industry.. BTW, why is diy the pinnacle of quality? Because Yvan said so? Oh, one last thing, the best lubricating soap out there that I have used is only $38.00/Gallon so remind me why diy pulls $90.00/gallon... oh, bc Yvan said so. Gotcha!

    Doug I agree, why spend more money if you are doing this for a business? It simply does not make sense? My strip wash soap cost about $9 a gallon at Walmart. Three factors I consider are price, where the product is made and does it work as advertised? Thanks for the video...

    $30 for a gallon is a good price. $90 is pretty expensive. The shaving cream foam for me has no real advantages. I guess it just looks good for some of the RUclips channels. Thank for testing both products.

    Well said, about DIY brother. I'm a huge fan of their products and I loved the home enthusiasts vibe I was getting from them but lately they have been giving off Chemical Guys vibes as far as marketing is concerned. What disappointed me was the Adhesion Promoter Polish. Like come on !! So now I have to pay $40 for a Adhesion Polish before I add the coating ???? Ridiculous !!! They make great stuff but now it seems like they have strayed away from wht drew me to them. The simplicity was the big draw and they have lost tht appeal.

    • @detailit

      Hi, I'm glad someone else feels this way. I was 100% thinking, Yes, Finally someone gets it and promotes the DIY'R. which, in turn, was drawing the average Joe/Jane to them, I think. Overall, I'm sure the quality is there, and so is the quantity. They have gone from basic to more professional and complex "ish". Another one lost in the MARKETING game! Too bad! Take care

    Can't disagree with you brother, DIY Detail products are premium priced now. Especially the Ceramics. But maybe they do last 8 or 5 years. Who's to say right? But Yvan is such a nice guy and a great spokesman for the detailing industry. I think it's because of the Stash lol. I''ve gotten his products when they go on sale. Gonna try out that Atomic Bomb shampoo. Now that's a good name for a foam shampoo, yikes.

      LoL... yes Yvan is a cool guy. In no way is this an anti Yvan video. It is an anti gouging video though. Nobody has soap worth 90 bux. I think I've seen it priced between 80-90 in several shops. Crazy! Overall it does seem like a good soap, just priced about double of what it should be.

    I suppose prices are different worldwide. In the USA 128oz is $74.99.
    Using one ounce of product is quite economical in the long run. They use quality lubricants and surfactants.
    You have a soap that cleans well, lubricates and pulls down dirt very well with quality ingredients.
    PIR to me is a scam, I see it as a means to use more product when it may not be necessary.
    Is incredible suds the cheapest product for soap up front no. But you take into account cost with use and it’s quite efficient.
    I respect your video but respectfully disagree with you.

    • @detailit
      @detailit  3 месяца назад +1

      Nicely stated. You could always use Phoenix eod Apex wash, it's like 1/3 of an Oz. In a bucket for a bucket wash. Less than 40 bux/gal... to me thick foam is a Scam as well. Most people seem to like it though... it annoys me honestly... thanks for sharing your breakdown. I appreciate it

  • @jayhoughton558

    Based on what I’ve found, DIY incredible suds is made by Turtlewax, just pretty highly concentrated.
    Their gold standard polish is literally just 3D one with colour and scent added. Exact same product. Just put a trigger on 3D one. It’s cheaper.
    Not missing much saving the money buying from these other brands and manufacturers. The thing DIY really brings to the table is the methods they demonstrate and the ‘system’ of the products they offer. For some people that is of value. For others it isn’t.

    • @detailit

      I hear ya. I think Yvan knows his stuff for sure and can teach it very well. I just can't see any soap being worth $90.00/ Gallon. Phoenix eod Apex wash is as concentrated and slick as heck on the panel. diy had something cool, but I think they've just gone mad!
      Thanks for you POV and for checking it out🤙🏼

      @@detailit yeah. I agree. And that is without even looking at their new $400 coating! It’s not the same target audience they appealed to at launch.
      Apex wash is at least 30% cheaper where I am.
      I had purchased every DIY detail product. But I can’t justify the cost now.

    His following seems to be eager to pay for it. Old saying, a fool and his money are soon parted

    You’ll spend more on atomic bomb at two to three ounces where you only use one ounce of diy incredible suds you need to get your math right and it’s only $75 a gallon so it’s cheaper

    • @detailit
      @detailit  3 месяца назад

      Even at 1oz. With diy, 2oz of Atomic Bomb, the Atomic Bomb works out to be about 1/3 cheaper. 1 gallon of diy @ $90/gallon; 2 gallons of Atomic bomb @ $60. Using the ratios given by Yvan, 1oz per cannon. Atomic Bomb is 2oz.per cannon. Atomic bomb for the "VALUE"
