Watching Mark eating and enjoying every mouthful of food is enough for me to feel better, suffering from cold and flu. Lost of appetite but Marks enjoyable eating habit makes me feel hungry. The best way to unite everyone is through our stomach. Food is the essence of every individual.

Thank you Mark for yet another brilliant video and most important of all, only placing 2 adverts in a 36 minute long video! Respect to you for this. I used to watch Mike Chen/Strictly Dumpling a lot but his recent video are like 17 minutes long and 4 Adverts!!! 😡. I've been to Thailand many times and even went there for my honeymoon! Love Thailand. Thank you for taking me to different parts of Thailand I haven't visited bu.t sure would love to visit Satun when this pandemic ends. Love from the UK.
The glutinous/sticky yellow rice, we call pulut kuning. Glutinous rice cooked with some coconut milk, a pinch of salt and pandan leaves to give it nice aroma. It can be eaten with curry or rendang. Even with sambal also good. The green sweet desert that Micah ate, we call it kuih ketayap. Btw, I'm Malaysian. We share many types of food with Thais😁
I like the look of the cuisine in this part of Thailand. All foods from Thailand look delicious but I just like the look of the food in this video. My mouth is watering.

this is the moment i'm waiting for: the Satun food and travel video series! as i said earlier in the terraced waterfall video, you are getting closer to my home state of Perlis in northern Malaysia via Wang Prachan. Satun is still the only safe Muslim-majority province in Thailand since the insurgency in Patani, Yala and Narathiwat. i always pass the Satun town centre while on my way to Pak Bara Pier after entering from the Malaysian border. first of all, i like you showing one of my favourite Malay pandan-flavoured crepe snack stuffed with desiccated coconut coated in brown sugar called kuih ketayap which is also common in Malaysia. that southern Thai-Pakistani goat curry dish really reminds us on the goat farm owned by the Thai-Pakistani man in Trang earlier. this is going to be another pride for Ali in Pakistan! as i said earlier in the Nakhon Si Thammarat's cempedak video, cempedak fritters are one of the most popular street food snack not only in Southern Thailand but also Malaysia including its edible starchy seed! the tie-knot snack made from the spring roll/popiah skin also reminds me of making it for the Lunar New Year in which i stuff it with pork floss. finally, i can get to see murtabak eaten in ordinary times compared with those selling at the Malaysian bazaars during the fasting Ramadan. you can go for other fillings in the murtabak like beef and mutton.

I sometimes wonder at those who decry Mark's honesty and humility and go on to question his behavior and sincerity. "He's selfish, he won't give interviews, he doesn't let his wife eat, etc, etc..." are you kidding me, really. It makes me think that some people have become so pessimistic that they actually believe that anyone who's become famous, wealthy, well known, or whatever is intrinsically a bad person. On the contrary, some people choose not to over-involve family in the limelight, seek overt recognition and actively defy stardom. Mark Weins is clearly a man with a huge heart, loves his family, avoids the spectacle of fame, treats people as he would be treated, understands his craft and continually learns and builds on his prior knowledge, gives freely yet within a thoughtful structure of discretion, doggedly works hard at sharing his passions and honestly reacts with true excitement and an endless willingness to be in the moment with both the food he's eating and for those who work so hard to prepare it. Mark is one of the greatest examples of fame and culinary information we have today and for that, I applaud him all day, every day! Rock on Mark, we love ya brother! It's easy to be a hater these days... try love, it tastes better and won't leave ya with a hangover on the morrow!
