i find that cata cdf build u was talking about actually a little reliable for aoe . how many times u run with a tank and they just pull the mobs out of the rain of fire. so im actually liking that build more
When you're doing the build where you just have 1 point in NP, are you doing the rotation to maximize portal summons, aka soulburn, shadowbolt hand, shadowbelt hand etc or are you doing normal tyrant set up?
Shadow priests: shadowcrash Affliction: vile teint ele shaman: liquid magma totem unholy: outbreak frost dk: howling blast moonkins: improved sunfire/twin moons even rouges and hunters can spread their dots instaneously with talents they always pick up in aoe. Please Blizz, make Cataclysm either baseline or at least uncouple it with inferno. it feels so miserable to be the only class that has to manually apply every single dot all the time, if it wants to use its aoe effectively :(
I wouldn’t even include ele maga totem, that shit sucks ass at spreading flame shock. Most of the time it don’t work because it don’t have smart targeting. I don’t know why it don’t, but it will apply it to targets already afflicted by it.
Naive question - I get that Darkglare was nerfed, but why are you discounting the MV/Soul Rot ST builds? They do sim slightly lower but surely the extra burst is worth considering in situations when you can't get perfect uptime, which is very frequent anyway.
The burst profile you gain from MV with SR does not justify its low damage, specially when demo burst profile is as good as it is, if you only play aff and your raidteam/raidlead is fine with you only playing aff it's not that bad I'd say you can play either Haunted Soul or MV but if you want to be competitive as most CE guilds are you'll be playing either Demo or Destro depending on what your guild needs, this is assuming Blizzard doesn't buff aff of course.
@@ammox4683 yeah this is just for Aff alone, of course Demo will be better particularly once it gets all its toys. I get that just by that choice you give up a lot (tuning pending, which is likely), but if for whatever reason you're settled on Aff I'd think MV would be a bit more desirable, possibly more than Destro even. Like, you give up far far more dps switching from Aff to Demo before tier/trinkets than you do switching from HS to MV.
Well, i raid in a social AOTC guild and due to having only a few ppl rolling on my tokens and some good rolls, i managed to have 3 tier pieces with two from raid and one from the vault. Just believe in RNGesus and he shall guide you on your path

Cata is not a competivtive talent node, you can use it for questing and outdoor content and that's it in any other setting for AOE Inferno is exponentially better and in single target you just don't go down that route in the tree.

The way I understand it, portal only cares about the number of SPELLS you cast that cost a shard, NOT how many shards you spend in the window. Soulburn costs one shard and is a quick way to gain another shard spell use in that window
I‘m wondering if Wrath of Consumption can be actually good in NL M+ 🤔 the dungeon gives you small mobs that die fast and the packs are not far away from each other plus 3 out of 4 bosses have frequent adds spawning Loved that dungeon back in Legion as Aff 😄🤷🏻♂️ Any opinions on this take?
@@gregcarr123 there's a cycle of sorts for it but generally speaking you want to have 2+ hand of guldans in between your implodes. You don't want to wait so long that the old ones are expiring but you don't want to implode after a single hand either.
It would be really fun if the new tier set buffed havoc instead of CDF, like letting you aplly it in more than one target if it procs or smt. (Or like the pvp talent)
Let‘s be honest, Destro is boring as fck to play especially in M+ 🤷🏻♂️ And most people played the Conflagration of Chaos because Soul Fire takes too long to cast. So ST was boring too. I think Blizz tries to bring some diversity into it‘s rotation but their take didn‘t go well because CDF is too restrictive. No moving while channeling is the worst. And in M+ Inferno is just too strong to get you to literally cast anything else besides RoF.
@@municare Give it a go in pvp, always some fun builds going on there. I hit elite in solo shuffle this season playing with dimensional rifts! Gosh I love dimensional rift :D

They nerfed the trinket to be 3 RPPM and removed the haste modifier meaning that to build the trinket to 10 stacks you need to wait 3ish minutes, before it was possible to build to 10 in 2 min hence the 2min infernal build but it makes no sense now with the nerf Blizz essentially synced the Neltharion trinket to 3min CDs.

Without the addon to extend the amount of builds you can save, you can only have 10 pages saved across your character. That means if you can only save 3 Destro pages you have 7 Demo+Aff pages that keep you from creating more. You can delete those pages on the other specs if you don’t think they’re gonna be used.
@@Daggart an additional important info on that: since it takes only one slot your keybinds won‘t change so it isn‘t a wonder tool sadly 🤷🏻♂️ you still have to add the spells to your bar all the time after changing talent sets

implosion is a dps gain as soon as there's a 2nd target to hit with it.

Ugh I had hoped they did something else with the destro tier but here we are. CDF is just meh to press and sucks when movement is involved.
Currently affliction feels horrible which sucks because its my favorite spec.
I think Nether Portal cleave Build is the way to Go in M+ so you can Fokus the Bad guy and you use your set Bonus perfect
