    • @UltraProchy

    • @NewbieFirst

      It's insanely overpriced because of OmniPoints. Even for half the price it would still be a slight overprice because of cheap stabs and overall build quality compared to other keyboards of that price range. Despite all of that, I still want to buy it tho and I deifinitely will if there will not be another keyboard with adjustable actuation point switches on the market.

    I've had the hyperx alloy origins for a year now, and though everything he has said is true, there are some serious drawbacks. The spacebar is rattly as hell, you will actually go insane, it's not hotswappable and also not lubed well, but because the switches are soldered, lubing it yourself is likely to cause more problems. After a year I can hear/feel rubbing plastic when I press my keys I use most slowly, very distracting on low bpm streams, they keys also wabble quite a lot which is also really distracting in any situation you're going to be pressing them gently.

    recently picked up a hyperx alloy origins. the keyboard is honestly super overrated (AS A KEYBOARD FOR TYPING)
    for osu!, i mean yeah, its solid. but i honestly don't find it any different from other high-end stock keyboards on this list. i think the main reason why it's probably the best is because of its accessability and price.
    if you're looking for a board ONLY for osu!, yeah sure.
    but don't buy it thinking it'll be an amazing keyboard. the stabilizers are the main reason i don't like this board. it is honestly so bad.
    i've also had a problem with it personally. when using it, it sometimes just stops registering for a second. this also happened to me during a tournament. it was super annoying. it wasn't any problems with the cord or anything. but make sure to keep that in mind. WHY IS IT ONLY A TIER uwu
    on second note though it probably is only SS tier for taiko, not osu! so A tier is ok.

      not that anymore, there's better keyboards with magnetic technology and they are much better and faster + hyperx origins is super overrated, I speak as a person who has this keyboard

    osu!mania player here,
    The origins is almost a good solid board (1000hz and next to no chord splitting), but the stabilizers are garbage, their software's lacking a bunch of lighting options (which were available on older versions) and you kinda need to swap the keycaps for a better typing experience.
    It's definitively a step up from their first keyboard ever (the alloy FPS. Capped at 125 hz unfortunately orz), but if the alloy FPS was 1000hz I'd still be using it
    P.S.: The switches are just rebranded gaterons. Other high level players who have tried/seen this board agree on this. Good luck finding good and compatible keycaps :(
    And yes, I own both boards and still think the stabs found on the alloy FPS are better.

      oh and HX is now a part of HP (their peripheral line at least). So time will tell if they actually get their stupid NGenuity drivers out of beta (yes, it's been on beta for the past...5 years I think?)

    hey spazza, i want to use my custom board for osu but i seem to fingerlock less and have more speed and stamina on blue switches, ive tried reds, blacks, and yellow switches but the blue switches always feel better, the problem with using the blues is that i cannot use them at night time, do yo know any light tactile switches that are good for osu?

    • @nacltoxic
      @nacltoxic 2 года назад

      Glorious pandas worked for me the best so far, but yellow gats with 65g springs felt nice too. You could also try making your blues not clicky.

      I haven't tried as many tactiles but in my experience, cherry mx browns are way too light so they feel almost linear. If you're on a budget you can check Akko's switches, otherwise go for classic gateron browns I guess (or Kiwis if you're feeling fancy)

    • @9core
      @9core 2 года назад

      ttc bluish white p nice or just regular mx brown if you want the sandy linear feel
