Things I have just learnt even though I have been playing since 2013 - the stairs trick and the copying the pattern to the other fencing. Omg thanks for being a guru!
You posted this year ago, and as someone who is just now finally get ice, thank you because it is still so needed ! As long as I have been playing, the Sims three I still love the tips and tricks to really spice up my builds
I remember when sims 3 first came out and i begged my parents to get it for me. 1 year after its release, they caved and got if for me. I played it none stop. The only reason i stopped is because no laptop or PC i can afford can play it. The moment i download ANYTHING, the game freezes, crashes, and all my effort is lost. I cant build my dream haunted mansion because my computers cant handle more than 50 canlde wall mounts.
I've been playing the sims on and off for years, and I just now learn that you can put up ceilings in the game? What the heck! I just got back into playing my sims 3 for pc and so I am trying to learn things!
thanks for these tips!!! the tip to come back to a build with a fresh set of eyes is sooo important. I used to rush myself to finish a build and be done as if there was a deadline. also CFE is extremely powerful and I will sometimes sit and play around with it to see how much I can manipulate a build using it. Definitely one of my favorites that i'm still learning how to use. I can't wait for the decor tips 👏👏
You're welcome m'dear! I know I'm a slow builder so I'm always looking with fresh pair of eyes but it's so helpful! I probably haven't even scratched the surface of what's possible with CFE after all these years of building. I have manipulated roofs before to have a proper attic, but I can't remember how I did it 😂😂 Any decor tips you particularly want to see?
Wow! Such fantastic tips! I have played a lot of The Sims 3 but I never think too much about house builds because I want to start playing with my Sims. That said, I am definitely going to pit some of these tips into practise on my next house to spruce things up and make my playthroughs just tyat little bit exyra special.
Thanks for the tips and tricks! Funny enough, the half-tips were the ones I actually didn't know yet. For interiors, I always struggle with lighting my builds properly. Either everything becomes a superbright, reflective surface, or I get really dark spots. I'd love to hear how you approach this.
Loved this video, the tips are super useful and your build is soo pretty 😍 I've been playing sims for years but didn't know these tools existed at all, really helpful! Thank you so much for making this! Keep up the good work!
I love sims and i always wondered why people still play sims 3. Today i decidet to play it and i fell in love :D I downloaded a few packs for sims 3 now too. The menue is better and no loading screens.. the car. and everything. I just dont get it why they changed it all.
Ever wanted to make your house look like it’s been through a hell spawn of an earthquake. Save your game, then go nuts with the terrain tools with “constrainfloorelevation false”. Have fun❤
i havent played the sims 3 in SOOO long. im getting really annoyed with the sims 4 and so ive broke out my old sims 3 disks [also im tempted to buy the sims 2 again! LOL] and installed the ones i wanted to play with. and i just realised, ive forgotten how to build in the sims 3! like i remember a few tips but not many. its been years. like before the sims 4 got vampires! [the supernatural pack was my fav in the sims 3] so this is very helpful for jogging my memory, but also learning a few new things! the first two tips [planning but also the bump outs to avoid bad roofing] is still useful for ALL sims games. legit saved my ass in the sims 4 before i fully learnt roofing there! lol! thanks for this video! im so glad that people still play the sims 3. I think more and more people are going back to it because they are over how badly EA treats the sims 4 users. theyve really turned money hungry! i thought it was bad when the sims 3 was the latest game [with the store and everything] but honestly, least we got good packs that were worth our money, the sims 4 packs arent worth it... not like the sims 3 and sims 2 packs. as a long time simmer its really sad. :( anyways hope you enjoyed my rant! thank you for this video!
You're most welcome! I'm glad that you've come back to Sims 3 and have found this video useful! Don't worry about your rant, you definitely aren't alone in the way that you feel 💚
this is siiiick! thank you so much for these tips! also, as a brit listening to your commentary i can't help but ask - who told you about our slang??? and how are you quoting little britain??
Thanks! Looking forward to learning how to plan interiors. I've seen people use festival grounds stuff to decorate their interiors automatically for each season. Maybe a tutorial on that as well in future?
Ooh that's a good shout, I haven't used the festival markers on a residential lot in years, but I'll see if I can put something together on that. That's a good shout 😍
What computer setup etc do you use for the sims 3 - it’s looks like it runs so smooth - like mine is so laggy and the create a style is defo not as quick as yours!
An absolutely fab vlog on building, however at 6:41 I do the same as you; grad a hand tool and try to adjust just the extension wing/room on its own and the whole width of the entire property is adjusted back and forth rather than just that room. What am I doing wrong please?
Ah, I just built the width one section less on the wing as you showed but still confused as to why I could not just drag the room only and adjust it’s width rather the entire side of the house width
Hmm, I'm not 100% sure why it wouldn't let you pull it one square to the left. I've just watched it back and I'm wondering if maybe you have to pull the wall in from the inside rather than push the wall in from the outside. 🤔
ive been playing sims 3 since 2010 and i didnt know so many of these. literally in love with this video
I'm glad it was helpful 💚
You're "literally" in love with the video? What does that mean?
@@Smorgasvordgirl that’s none of your business she just likes it
@@Fairytales0942 It has nothing to do with it being my business or not. My point is that she used the word "literally" incorrectly.
