Great video. Dpf is just ridiculous. Subaru advised me to drive it on the freeway every other day! Why is there no ecu update to allow regeneration to be completed more accurately.?
What can cause oil dilution after the DPF got cleaned and the oil got changed as well? Just trying to think out loud: the DPF is still regenerating itself however soot accumulation ratio is less than 10 percent. Wondering perhaps during the DPF maintenance reset not only the soot but other (ash) variables needs to be reset as well? Only dealership can do that? Thx for reply...
Hi I had the the dpf light come on as a still motion after my intercooler turbo charger pipe blew off and I stuck it back on and it was still in still motion. But I've put some synthetic oil in the car and now I have the dpf light flashing the engine light is on and the car light with the slippery road effect light is on any ideas
Hello, i own a forester my 12. The dpf light dosen't come at all. I bought the car used, it was Always so. Is it a LED ? Or a normal One ? What to do to bring it lighting again ? Il live in Switzerland.
Hi im.in the uk with a subaru legacy. I did my oil change a while ago. Should i and how do i reset the oil diloution . It is uk model 2011 but its in my service book to perform . Thanks
i have. After 312.000 km my Subaru diesel engine from 2009 had it. And i had not any warning lamp burning! After it had happened all the motor oil had disappeared. I red on internet it was an fabricate fault of Subaru. The car drove excellent, but the costs and the service was so awful bad, that is was my first and last Subaru.
Subaru Forester boxer diesel 2010 here , well, I have the stupid "rod knock" sound on the engine , sometimes seems dissapearing, but sometimes comes again back. Could be a crankshaft sound? I'm confused, the car runs fine, just normal .. just that fck'n sound makes me worry , does anyone has that problem? (the mechanics say its fine, some of them hearing the crankshaft sound...saying its bad.. I'm just confused)
Can you really judge Subaru's DPF as a a major source of troubles if compared with other diesel cars ones? I mean I've been driving diesel in the last 15 years with nor major problems... as I'm presently approaching a Legacy (nov 2011) for the first time, would appreciate your opinion. Regards from Italy,
dpf delete is the only thing that can help these engines, the turbo does not like a packed dpf trust me. it's ALOT cheaper to get rid of it then replacing. It's shit on the EE20 engines and software is the fault if you ask me.
@@carnievans6177 In the older generation diesels the trick to reducing Nitrous Oxide emissions was to retard the injector timing and run them rich. From factory they may still be running them rich.
The DPF can be removed, but it must be both software and hardware removal by specialist. In every diesel car that has DPF this 1st thing you should do is to remove the dpf so it wont cause trouble and also the car will become a bit quicker and more fuel efitient.

How do i know when and how the subaru forester diesel is attainting an regeneration ? I have a light on, i did make an oil change a month ago
How can i forced the DPF regeneration process (manually) if light is flashing?
Just drive on highway above 2.000 ppm (until flashing is gone) in continuous time.
Drive it for 5 or 10min in 3rd gear on highway on lets say, 3500-4000rpm.

Yes - reset it every oil change.
have you guys had any broken crankshafts yet on the diesels because i have 3 dead engines
zero

Thanks mate. Great info and advice. Liked and subscribed.
after you change the engine oil you did an forced regeneration?
People don't know how to drive a diesel car. You need to push it now and then. Not just put it in 5th gear as soon as possible.
same problem in subaru xv diesel (europe) use tunap product will see if something change!
How often should I change the dpf?
You clean it,not change. You change it if it gets broken.
How do you do a reset

errr a dpf delete wont always fix the problems
plus its highly illegal
:(
I have found reprogramming the ecu to correct the fuel to air ratio as they run to rich of fuel.

Done that!
After 4 years, everything work great, not a single issue.
how to fix DPF? By removing it
DPF sends some gases back to the engine for some reason (preassure, turbine or something) so its not a solution to remove it...
Yes, you can remove it, but it must also get removed in the software, not only physicly.
Mate just cut out the dpf. It's absolute BS.
