Interesting stuff! You Aussie's with your funny 'H' sound always gets me. Trying to hear the difference btw some of those heavy distortion tones reminds me of trying to show my parents the difference btw East coast and West coast rap in the 90's! I guess you have to listen to some music that uses those tones to get it right off the bat. That POG is slammin'! (pun intended) I like to do that and just use the two lowest strings, too. It reminds me of that Isely Bros 60-70's Soul/Funk sound.
