Good times. My auxr8 covid full suspension & driveline rebuild (now complete) saw three deliveries of expensive components delivered to the wrong address & signed for. When I got the emails saying your delivery has been signed for, I started looking around my area at addresses that had my house number in it. I am at No1 yet two of the deliveries were sent to No 10. The guy answered and said 'yeah, I signed for them, didnt know whose they were'.... Thanks Aust Post, Startrack & DHL for making a tough job more frustrating than it needed to be. Oo===oO PS: A video on the tools you rate and would not do with out would be interesting for blokes like me who (don't trust mechanics) and do it all in the driveway with ramps & trolley jacks. Appreciate the content and effort that goes into these things. Oo===oO

Love you work as always Scotty! The Lexcen is one of the cars I’m most excited to see how it turns out and I genuinely hope it continues to go well (I know you get a couple of hiccups). Have to say though the wiper & horn bit got me good because I would have reacted in exactly the same way haha. Keep up the good shit you do & sending the positive vibes your way mate!

@7:34 Deutsch DT series connectors best connectors! Just gotta remember to push the wires through the rear grommet before terminating them! Ask me how many times I fucked THAT up back when I was a Volvo Trucks technician... 🤣
you can get those plug pins to go in easier if lick them or spit on them (that's what she said, beat you to it! lol) my dad was a mechanic and he always said, "it always go's in easier with a bit of lube".

I literally had the exact same converter in my Shed when i had my 1uz th400 turbo. From Gonzo aswell. I should of sent it. But its from Rod shop conversion plate to th400

So close scotty cant wait to see and hear it running. Are you running upgraded braced rear lower trailing arms? I have had sedans with bent trailing arms.With the wagon being so long the twisting would be worse than the sedan ? Would subframe connectors also help with rigidity ? Or would they only be worth while upgrading if you have issues with body twist? These are probably all questions you have already asked more qualified people , im just curious as i have heard they are common weak points .
We'll look into that once it's running but currently they're just stock with new bushes.

What’s the plan for the front suspension since you have added loads of weight to the lexicon? I’m glad it’s getting close to running.
It will be interesting to see how much weight we've actually added. I'm sure it will be some but maybe not as much as you think.
@@STREETMACHINETV after seeing the Mazda wheel stand and come down hard on the drag course would make me strengthen it as we still don’t know what horsepower this beast will have and I’d hate to see all that good work go to waste
@@STREETMACHINETV - that era of commodore they were still the genuine GMH 304ci V8 which from memory were about 80kg heavier than the GH Chev 5.7 Gen 3 engine. Toyota never bother with that engine so basically stuck with the standard GM Buick (which was the 2nd revision version) one which were about 30kg lighter.
Who done the trans shield?? I tried googling CSC trans shield and I can't find them.. is that right CSC??

It's not an alloy spacer, it's a billet steel flange for the front of the diff. Stronger than factory

Nah, we got made an offer we couldn't refuse on the MX5 engine. Otherwise, it would be definitely going in the Taxi

- Black Torona - waiting for the suits upstairs to give go ahead for the 6.4L Hemi V8 to be installed and start that project
- Red Volvo - a dead project sadly, we got all were gonna get from that beast, now a parts special re: transmission and torque converter to Project Lexcen, the radiator went to the MX-5 etc, electrical parts to various other projects.
- 1300 Boost Taxi - The falcon needs weight reduction and the engine diagnostics don't look goo from the last episode, potentially the block is rooted and the head is warped, just how many more E:Gas DOHC engines can Soctty lean out before enough is enough ??? only Scotty knows.
- Mazda MX-5 - engine gone, transmission going into the VR ute
- VR Ute, personally don't give a shit about that, that said it appears Scotty is at around the 40% range of where he wants the car to be at, lots more has to go into it.
- White Lexcen V8, we just saw the update wit this video, for me I'm not sure about the brake package Scotty went it non assisted brakes okay sketchy but everything else looks like its gonna be awesome once its up and running.
