It is really nice to give the yarn forward. I lost my home to a house fire in March of 2024 and lost it all. My yarn stash is slowly being built up again. It was a hard thing to be without.
I recently order a few sets of interchangeable knitting needles and one set of interchangeable crochet hooks just to see what they were like. I figured I could try them and return them if they weren't good. I gave been very impressed with all of them. Not on rhe level of a Chiaogoo set but still very well made with smooth joins. Great set to take when traveling.
I have ordered yarn from temu 5 times , I have not been disappointed with any of the yarns I purchased , the mohair is indistinguishable from the local yarn stores . I priced out one ball the other day it was 16$ . From temu I purchased 6 balls for less than this price . You may not like temu however my wallet does . I made a advent calendar with the sparkly stuff . To me based on my purchases it makes me wonder just how fleeced we are getting at local stores .
Happy New year Hannah to you and your family .Yes I have bought yarn from temu and it has been ok I do find some of the double knitting yarn a bit thin especially when I've been doing crochet, beautiful colours though and it seems to wash ok as well ,mind you I wash things by hand , enjoyed this vidio thanks for sharing ,it would be good to have more information on the packages though ,but the goods are inexpensive wich is a bonus and the yarn I've had is very soft xx
I tried Temu (not for yarn) a couple of times last year & that’s it for me. Some of the things I got were fine, even cute & useful but overall the quality wasn’t the best. I completely agree with you about the website, it’s overwhelming. The main concern I have is around quality control & safety of the materials used in the products. Thanks for sharing & I hope your elbow injury can be resolved so you can crochet & knit without pain again! 🧶💜😊
My mum brought me "milk yarn"from temu, it's nice to work with but did spilt a few times in the beginning. It did make a lovely jumper for my daughter though.
i sincerely hope this isnt considered a "nasty" comment, but i urge the commenters saying they'll be ordering from temu to research where these products are made and the conditions these workers face. please educate yourself before you decide to support what is being investigated as forced labor to get a product for a suspiciously low price tag. whether or not you still choose to go for it is none of my business at all, but I'd rather bring it to your attention than quietly sit back and let factory workers suffer due to demand.
Also a lot of items that have been tested contain toxins and that includes clothing. Customers in the UK have had personal & bank details stolen. So please be careful. Their whole business model is unethical.
PSI Beware of buying from TEMU. Someone accessed my cart, changed quantities (who needs 4 tea infuser cups??) and hit the pay now button. I never received any notification from TEMU thanking me for placing an order and didn't realize it happened until my bank statement showed a debit charge of over $300 to TEMU. TEMU refused to take care of the situation. I tried to CANCEL two orders that were processing, and instead received a message from TEMU that they expedited the shipping "per my request". The order came from their FISHLAND Christmas promotion.I never even played Fishland. Please don't store any items in your cart, for a later purchase.
I watched another podcast on Temu 100% cashmere…. She actually tested the fiber she received ( burn test). It melted. Not cashmere….. cashmere yarn is an animal fiber and will turn to ash….. that said, she said it was soft, inexpensive and she liked it. Content description can be lost in translation, and I’d go with that…. Not deceptive labeling. My sister buys from Temu and has a very favorable opinion in general of their products.
Are you serious? I’m 58 years old and I NEVER knew you could wash and dry cashmere 😂 I hand wash all my cashmere. Wow that’s funny to me. Thanks for the info! ❤
So machine wash is definitely a go! I would be careful with drying because I just googled it and google says it can felt or shrink. I don’t want to give you incorrect info! But I have washed cashmere and it was fine
I don’t think there is an official place; I’ve just been collecting yarn personally for a few people I know! But a Facebook group or something might have more info
Very helpful video- thank you for sharing. I am local (Tampa) and would definitely be interested in learning more about donating blankets (baby blankets are my jam!) if the hospital is happy to receive donations. Look forward to your next podcast- hope your elbow feels better!!
It depends on the hospital! Some want blankets and some prefer hats and preemie items. A lot of hospitals will have info on their website or can tell you if you call
Thanks for sharing, I have never purchased from Temu, but I have friends that do all the time. They get lots of cool stuff. I may have to give them a try.

Ive bought notions but never yarn. My favorite set of crochet hooks are actually from temu.

You enabler you! You tested my nonexistent self control so I placed an order. I'll send you the bill lol. 😮😂❤
Thanks for sharing…. I ordered a few balls from Temu and it was really soft but they were a little smaller than I thought.
It took me all day to watch but finally was able to finish. Good information. Sounds like people are in production but have stock to sell.😊
My oldest daughter's favorite movie is home alone, I actually bought her the movie 1,2, & 3 for Christmas of 2023 😊

Agreed. Kind of disappointing to see this after following for 5 years.

There yarn deals are awesome!
I haven't tried temu yarn yet but I have been looking at it I'm going to give it a try thanks for the review the kids are getting big fast 😂 ❤❤

Yes that makes sense! I will do the burn test and see what happens. Either way I am happy with the softness, but who knows how it will hold up? 😊
Happy New Year 🎉
Happy new year!
Hi there thanks for sharing. I'm going to give it a bash ❤
Have fun!

Hi, is there a place we can donate yarn for those that lost yarn stashes?
I don’t think there is an official place; I’ve just been collecting yarn personally for a few people I know! But a Facebook group or something might have more info

P.S. Hope your arm improves and gets better very soon God bless xx
You have to be very careful when you order bulky yarn from Temu. It usually comes more like a 3 or 4 weight 🤔.
Hi H - Really, unless it has brand names that you know, don't make it habit. It's very misleading.
Each time I've ordered from temu I've had card fraud and had to shred and close and reopen things. Please be careful.
Thanks for sharing, I have never purchased from Temu, but I have friends that do all the time. They get lots of cool stuff. I may have to give them a try.
