Just found your videos, thank you!! I am looking for more motivation to gain weight (Quasi recovered, but bmi still only 16, i and everyone thinks I look too skinny and I hate it..still been subconsciously restricting somehow..although better in most ways)..so I wondered, isn’t it hard to know if we are restricting or simply not into a certain food..what do we focus on challenging? Also, as I was not feeling starving, and eating when hungry at bmi 16, I’m simply finding it physically hard to eat the calories I need to be eating to gain weight..I am not particularly hungry very often..so eating when full almost..have you felt this? would appreciate any tips!!

I am following a food plan but it’s a struggle to eat it all, wish I could increase my appetite

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time in recovery. You're definitely not alone in this.
Firstly, what do we focus on challenging? Everything. Yes, initially it can be hard to know if we don't like a certain food or if we are avoiding the food out of fear. So we have to challenge ourselves to eat everything- regardless of whether we think we like it or not. I think you have to get rid of any fear associated with the food before you can realise your true taste preferences.
Secondly, you're not particularly hungry very often. Yes, I experienced that too. My hunger was all over the place to begin with. So, whenever you do experience hunger, give in to it. Eat everything that you want and everything that you can. Similarly, whenever you have motivation to eat or challenge yourself, do it. Regardless of whether it is 1am, whether you just ate lunch, or whatever else, eat when you feel the urge to do so. And yes, sometimes you will be eating when you feel full- that's ok and normal in recovery. Keep eating regularly though, and the hunger will normalise and regulate itself.
Keep going. Sending you love and courage xxx
P.S. you don't need to post your BMI on here, your struggle is real regardless :)

Where were the bagels from? I can only eat them toasted as they somehow fell lighter... good job on you though

The bagels were just from the supermarket. I also usually eat them toasted because they taste better that way I think haha.
