Now that's what I call customer service!
My yeacomm unit comes in tomorrow. Good to see it's getting new firmware. Great video 🎉
Yes and I gave them a wish list of other things we would like to see implemented.
Thanks for the firmware update. It resolved problems I was having with the modem.
Great!. Thanks for letting us know.
It's always nice to see updates from the manufacturers, at least you know your hardware hasn't been retired!
Yes, I have a new found respect for the hardware and the firmware. It is all based on WRT which gives them great flexibility and a hardened code base. The world radio in this unit is also top notch - just look at all the bands it supports!
Hello Peter, I have a InvisaGig and a Yeacomm. I get better speeds with the InvisaGig. Any ideas what couple cause this?
I am using a 5G business internet plan, the only thing I didnt do on the Yeacomm was setup a custom IMEI, would this make a diffrence? We also didnt change it on the InvisaGig, and were getting good speed.
InvisaGig: ~250MB/download ~30MB/upload
Yeacomm: ~80MB/download ~30MB/upload
With my iPhone: I can get ~700MB/download ~41/upload
It does not surprise me that the InvisaGig performs faster. It was designed from the ground up for performance but.. Do they pickup the same bands? Do they have similar signals? Do you have an external antenna on the InvisaGig? The "issue" you think you are seeing is PRIORITY. T-MOBILE is a phone network, they give high priority to phones. TMHI is at the lowest priority on the network. Business accounts are slightly higher. So, the IMEI is important, especially with a business account. Business accounts get a higher priority be sure to set the IMEI and APN to show you mean business. Yes, the iPhone is a phone and has different priority. No one is going to download a 20GB file on a phone and they know that, so they let the run wide open.... it's just for speed test.
@@PeterC408 Thank you for replying, the Yeacomm was locking on 71, and the InvisaGig was locking 41 and 25. (no external antennas). We just left the InvisaGig. Today the weather was bad, therefore we didn't get to troubleshoot any further with the Yeacomm. Thank you for all the insight.
I've tested the N610-Q RM520N-GL inside... solid
The new firmware work on the Q version ?
@@fromtheroadwithrobertno sir no Q
I'm surprised you didn't change the MTU value
Nope. It appears that they watch my videos an the network became more stable shortly afterwards. The reason that I chagned my MTU was for stability. Now it is pretty stable at 1500
Just wanted to say this is super cool of them! I've bought an outdoor 5g x62 capable POE modem off Ali Express from a different manudacturer and the firmare they are running looks much better than the stuff I'm using. Definitely makes the product attractive. Thanks for the video!
Yes, it was pretty cool of them to take time out of their schedule and come capture the issues I was seeing. There is no such thing as good hardware with poor firmware.
Im getting great speeds and reliability with it, but as soon as I plug it into my home wifi system (TP-Link Deco) the connection goes from 200mbps+ to less than 10. Unreliable, some websites wont load. Im running a T-Mobile tablet plan, unit has an IMEI identity crisis, and TTL is set to 65. Any other ideas?
So do you have a Yeacomm or is this a tablet? Which IMEI? TTL on what Tablet or Gateway? Are you trying to use a TMobile Tablet SIM in a Yeacomm Gateway? If so, you will need the APN and IMEI that the Tablet plan are using and then transfer those values to the gatway and stop using the Tablet unless it is WIFI only.
Appreciate the Video Peter. Ordered one from Amazon. Can you lock the PCI as well? Documentation says "support".
Interesting... I know that you can lock bands and towers but not sure if it goes down to the cell level. Loads change, I like to leave the radio a little flexibility. I use 5G SA with bands n41 and n25. It gives me a good mix of download and upload speeds with minimal impact on time of day.
@@PeterC408 Trying this with ATT Air. Problem I have is living close to the interstate (I17 AZ), I'm getting bombarded with signals. Air hub is switching quite a bit to different bands/cells. I've got the Yeacomm with overall good results. I believe I did get PCI lock working, but ultimately I found locking certain bands worked just as good if not better.
I've lost quite a bit of DL speed 150ish down to 80ish, UL stayed the same at 25Mb. Wondering if the Air Hub does a bit of bonding. Yeacomm did improve my ping (from 40ish to 30ms) and can stay locked on to one tower. I've locked in band 2 and 4 (LTE, no 5G that I can detect) which net me the best ping (as a gamer I want). I still get 80/25Mb which I'm happy with. Signals only improved marginally, but they were already good with the Hub. My line of sight can be improved, but I'm still deciding if I'm gonna keep all of this.
I play Call of Duty and have been happy with the in game performance with ATT and the bands locked in. Definitely something I can live with and actually seems a bit more responsive than my TMHI.
I also tried Yeacomm with my TMHI, but I couldn't come close to the performance of my "trash can" and external antenna setup. Speedtest also only gave me Neveda/CA servers to test on. Yeacomm was not really in the right location either. If I get ambitious one of these days, I might play with the Yeacomm/TMHI some more.
Hey Peter! I have T-Mobile and im heavily considering this modem for an ubiquiti setup that i want to get. My speeds are roughly 500 down and 40 up and id like to run a few personal servers down the line. Do you think this would be a good option for the setup i want or should i run with the included device for a while?
Yes, this modem will work well with your Ubiquiti setup because it can be a modem only. Unlike the gateways that are both modem and access points, this device can go into bridge mode and pass through your IP address to your Router and avoid the DOUBLE NAT scenario. And if your router supports DDNS, you can use it to correct for the changing IP and fix the CG-NAT issue of a changing IP. Also, this unit supports 5G SA, so you can craft your signal improve your uplink speed for serving by over 3 times!!! And if you are already getting 500Mbps down with an internal antenna, you are going to like this unit.
Is this router a plug and play? Order from Amazon, plug in sim card and it works? If not, we need a setup video on how to get it working properly. Thanks
Generally, you need to plug in your SIM and it works... but if you have parameters that need to be entered, they of course need to be entered.
You must put in the imei
I live in a rural area and have 2 panorama 4x4 mimo antennas on a 45 foot tower 6 miles from the tower. Im curious how one of these would do. Thanks for the vid Peter.
Funny, I was talking with Kevin and Jim from Proxicast about Rural Internet just a few months ago. They have a ton of experience and shared that every rural internet solution is its own beast. Take a look ruclips.net/video/RWJ38qF_ZxA/видео.html In other words, we would have to try it.
@@PeterC408 Im thinking about picking one up and testing it. Not sure how it will do as the tower is 6 miles away as the crow flies. The yeacomm has an omnidirectional antenna and I am using directional antenna pointed at the tower with the chester cheetah modem/router, it will be interesting to see what it does at that distance. I will check out the video with Jim and Kevin. Thanks again!
Great video Peter, I have the indoor version of the modem, the NR330. Is there a firmware update for the NR330? Please let mr know, where I can get one. Their website doesn't show any firmware updates. Thanks again for help and for channel.
Companies usually only release new firmware to fix a problem. Is there a problem with the NR330?
@@PeterC408 I'm not sure of his issue, but I did notice with the NR330-Q I failed the IPV6 test. I unboxed it today so I have yet to email support. Your videos and reviews encouraged me to lean towards this brand. Thanks
@@nicholasnelson9734 Plugging directly to the modem and see if it passes. Mine passes IPV6, but my access pont is not playing along.
Hi Peter, please enable only your two 1900 and two 600 bands. I read an article that T-Mobile achieved 3gbps using only those four channels (aggregated)
Hey i bought that modem. For some reason i couldnt get a good signal. I have a inseego modem that pulls decent speeds around 50 to 100 mbps. I bought the outdoor modem router from yeacomm and when hooking it up, i couldnt even get 1mbps. I changed the imei obviously. Is there anyone who could help me?
Have you seen any of my videos where we talk about bands, RSRP, RSRQ and SiNR? This is the key to hunting down the right bands. Otherwise it is like fishing with salmon eggs at 50 fathoms in the ocean.
@PeterC408 of course. So with my inseego im now locked out of the firmware. Even after resetting. But my scores idicated a terrible signal quality. But i get n77 and b66 last i checked. The sinr was literally 0. The other scores were bad. I pull pings rasonably from 45 to 65. Speeds up to 100 with no one else connected. When hooking up the yeacomm i couldnt get a solid signal at all. I band locked to b66 and n77 since thats what inseego gets. The best score i really got was 5mbps down. I do use nomad as i am unable to get any other good providers.
@MM-kx7ru Jevin from Proxicast today us that SiNR is the single most important score. That Fx2000 is only good if it gets hood signals. This should dramatically help
@PeterC408 so i am able to log into my inseego with laptop directly connected, normally i accessed it thru my phone. Anyways now im getting an snr of 3 to 5 it fluctuates. Im getting b66 and n5 right now
@@PeterC408but im still lost in why the yeacomm nr610 wouldnt recieve a signal worth a hoot. I tried it with all bands open even to attempt that. No avail.
i have multiple Yeacomm NR-610's. I downloaded your 2585. The most recent NR610 came with 2731. You have access to the most current or can direct me to where I can get the firmware to update my other units?
They say if it ain't broke don't fix it. What features or problems are you trying to fix or add?
I do have new firmware for this unit but do not feel that I should be trusted as your repository for such releases. They should be pushed by the manufacturer. The only reason, I let that one go early is because it fixed something pretty important.
Incredible video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
do u have yeacomm nr330 firmware sir
No I don't, but you really only should seek firmware form the manufacturer. You can write to them at
support@yifanrouter.com but always be cautious when updating firmware. Know what you want to gain before you update anything. Good Luck.
Hey I would love if you share the firmware
There is a link in the comments.
There´s no need for extra antennas? This works with 5G Home Internet?
Yes, this is an outdoor unit so it has the antennas included. Instead of running the antennas outside, this brings the entire modem outside. Really a good idea.
Peter do they have a newer firmware for this modem? I have been looking all over the place for lastest firmware ! Thanks
Rule one with firmware is always know what it is that you're trying to fix and make sure it's addressed before you go changing. They did give me a new version of firmware but they didn't tell me what it was for and the proper way to get it shouldn't be from me it should be from the manufacturer pushing it to all devices so keep checking your firmware and looking for an update. That should be the right way to get it.
@@PeterC408 Thanks I reached out to them. I love this modem though. I did have a newer firmware on the unit I bought and used this firmware that you provided and did not realize the superadmin so trying to get the firmware that came with it.
Hi Peter, I have the euro version the firmware doesn't match can you please help me to get the euro firmware. It has the same problem.
Thanks
Good idea to get the right version for your hardware (Always!) . JUst write to them. They have been super responsive support@yifanrouter.com
Did they give you an update of European version?
I want it too and I have problems with IPv6
@iC4e no I asked them they said it already has the latest firmware and support sa
@@mataralmuhairi2402
Is update you have NR610-EAU-FF0420220316BEU8_A332187 ,?
Have you tried bridge mode with this router with the t-mobile home internet sim?I tried it and it doesn't seem to work.
I am not sure Bridge mode means what we think it does.. How do you have it configured?
@PeterC408 I have the yeacomm NR610 hooked up and then my linksys mx4000 mesh router inside hooked up to the cpe adapter providing wireless internet throughout my home. I was just wondering if it would be better to put the yeacomm in bridge mode because I use it as a modem only.
Is there a new link for firmware?
It is best to go to the current firmware and search for an update. That way you make sure it comes from the source!
Yeacomm is really good eventhough its a microbrand. I have the NR330.
Aah, Micro-brand. I was wondering what you meant by Micro-band. Most of these companies are ODMs, making equipment for others to put their names on, and their brands are lesser known.
Hi Peter! What could be the reason of slow upload speed? it's lower then 1mbps? I guess i've set all recommended settings.
Different BANDS and band configurations have different uplink and downlink speeds but 1Mbps is pretty slow. Which bands are you getting? Is it 5GNSA or SA? What are your RSRP, RSRQ and SiNR scores? This should point you the right direction.
any chance it will give you a terminal prompt to the device? wondering how hard it would be to TTL mangle
You don't need terminal access to this device to change the TTL
Hi
I have the device but when I use it in gateway mode there is ip conflict and I use it now in bridge mode working great but how can I login to the router and see the signal tried everything can't login
Please help me
I wrote to their support about Bridge Mode and how to use it. I got back a video (no audio) and it shows the trick. I will have to make a video on this as I want to try bridge mode myself!
@PeterC408 please upload it I will try to do it
Here is the video that they sent me to show how to do it. Take a look and let me know if you are successful ruclips.net/video/ZfZgs3PsDjc/видео.htmlsi=AaDsngOaWemRQANV
@@PeterC408 thanks
Is this unit a modem or router or both?
We’ve spoken before but I never asked that. They just turned on a 5G tower closer to me. Again, I have the 5G business internet and bought a TMHI device off marketplace.
My speeds with the T-Mobile unit are between 150-200 down. I’ve seen higher at off peak times. All of my network equipment is Unifi.
I’m up for renewal with Comcast. The T-Mobile business internet only costs me $30 a month. I pay $120 for Comcast business. The TMHI is for failover only. My Unifi equipment handles all of my DHCP. When it does failover it creates dbl NAT. Not good for WiFi calling. This unit would pay for itself in less than a year. My only concern is the shared public ip address.
Your thoughts?
Most applications can handle a double NAT. This is a Gateway (modem and access point) but it is an outdoor unit. I use the outdoor 2.4GHz WiFi for outdoor IoT totally separate from my indoor mesh WiFi access point. It works pretty well. I have no problem with WiFi calling. Sounds like this is worth giving it a try. If it doesn't work, send it back to Amazon but you will have time to put it through its paces.
In the UI can the unit be put in bridge mode? Can it be assigned a static IP? Turn off DHCP?
What website can we get official firmware releases?
You can go here yifanwireless.com/ and write to support. I do now see it in the download section but perhaps they will push it though the device itself when it is ready. Though the normal update process.
Thank you!@@PeterC408
Thanks for facilitating the firmware update. I have a solid connection with 5 bars, 15-20 on SINR and averaging about 150 on downloads on my T-Mobile home internet. However, my connection drops momentarily every 2 or so hours. I have the following error show up in my log:
user.err : [fflog][ff_nw_daemon] [ERROR] interface mobile alive! but no default route on table wan AF_INET,cant setup
Is this due to not having a static IP or is it something correctable? Thanks again Peter!
No static necessary. Capture the log and send it to their support. They might be able to tell you what is causing it and how to fix it
Here is the address for the Yeacomm engineers, support@yifanrouter.com Send them the log. They have been very responsive.
I own the NR610-EAU European version. I bought this router when I saw it on your channel for the first time. I have problems with it with IPV6. I hope to find the same update as yours for the European version. Can you talk to them so they can provide it please?
Try it directly into the unit without using your Wireless Access Point. Many of the APs strip out this functionality. If it then works, then look at your AP settings to see if you can make IPV6 work through the AP.
yes when i connect directly to NR610 IPV6 work great.
But when connecting via Wireless Access Point ipv6 well never work
my NR610 firmware is about as old as this video! - where can I get the latest firmware? - the main Yifan site is not even up right now (not that I ever found any firmware there, anyway 🙄) - also, please do more videos on the NR610, there are a lot of of us rural folks who depend on this thing, and the tricks you have showed us so far have been extremely helpful!
Thank You! Have you seen this video ruclips.net/video/hbt1ie2BA0s/видео.html it shows how the NR610 can go to bridge mode. Also there is this video that compares it to several 5G solutions ruclips.net/video/SqJ5e8w8iio/видео.html
@@PeterC408 yes, I watched those videos, appreciate them, but how to keep the firmware updated?
@@carlosedwardos let me write to them and see when they are pushing an update. They sent me a new version a while ago but I forget what the changes were. The best place to get firmware is always from the manufacturer instead of some random RUclipsr even if it is me.
@@carlosedwardos Firmware is very specialized software and in a perfect world, would never have to be upgraded. The only reason to change it is because of bugs or security issues. This is a pretty mature product; I don't expect to see many more updates to the Firmware.
@@carlosedwardos I just bought one of these, too (Qualcomm version), and I'm wondering if my firmware is out of date. Do you have the Qualcomm version? If so, what version number does yours have and do we know what the latest version is? Mine is showing as NR610-Q-FF0420220316BEU8_A301722.
Is this firmware publicly available? And where do we get it?
They developed it this weekend and will put it through their normal testing cycle and then give it a number greater than the one they gave me. How long will it take? Not sure but you can join in by downloading this one and report any bugs you find. I asked them if I could release it and they told me yes.
Did you talk to them about having to push save and apply twice?
Yes, the first button saves the data from that page and now you can go to another page before pushing it all to update with a possible reboot.
Someone using the Yeacomm nr610 are having problems with stability?, I make Speedtest and I receive over 150mpbs download and 60 upload... but I start downloading something and the download speed don't get up over 1mbps... I tried TMobile and have that problem sometimes work changing the TTL 32,65 or sometimes to 255..... o ATT was working fine but on Puerto Rico ATT are now Liberty Mobile and the only TTL work is 65. But the same problem I start downloading something on the Xbox store on my PC or battlenet and the download speed don't get up more than 1mpbs can someone helpme ?
The modem have I think is a S22 ultra IMEI
Downloading is a two party process , there is you on the receiving end but there is another computer on the sending end. . You could be downloading from a source that is bandwidth limited.

@@PeterC408 yeah is the same radio, u have a Discord chanel or something like that?
Thank you have you showed how to get more speed with 2 or more at the same time on this unit?
You mean using two SIM cards? It does one then the other for fail-over. It does not aggregate them.
no just using one T-Mobile sim card and thought it can get 2 5G at a time? To get faster upload and download.@@PeterC408
If two 5G signals are available it can grab two 5G signals. Sometimes it will even grab the same one twice, n41 and n41. Give it a little time, 20 minutes, and check it again. Sometimes it takes a little while for the tower to assign full resources (it just gets faster).
Can you confirm the new firmware works in the N610-Q variant also ? Do not want to brick my radio if it’s not compatible.
Update: i sent Yeacomm and email and they sent me a link for the Q variant
Very Cool. What features did it add?

Fixed the sim switch issues I had going from 1 to 2 and back plus SA now works without crashing.
Your right this firmware with this router is really good. Getting pretty good scores for being in a rural area on band71 and 66.
What kind of speeds are you getting now?
@PeterC408 I was getting 26 down and 2 up with my 2 waveform antennas ran with 30ft of cable. Now I am averaging 50down and 10up with this hardware. Perfect for just streaming 👌.
SUPER!
Thank you for providing the firmware. Hopefully this will resolve the issue with the modem locking up when in SA only mode. Thanks to your last Yeacomm video, I switched back to SA/NSA mode and it was rock solid. I was hoping this would also get my speeds back up, I was seeing 200-300+ and now I am back down to 80-120. No significant difference with the new firmware.
Yes, it fixes the SA lockup!
Try NSA for speed right now. Resources are allocated to n41.
I switch mine from SA to NSA mode and then it worked for a little and locked up or page can't be display. I unplug the POE and waited about 10 sec and plug it back in. It came back up and now the cell says 5G+ the + got added after it. It's the best upload speed I seen yet all most 100!
Did you change the IMEI? If you do not, it will work and then stop. Have to loaded the new firmware? If it did lockup, unplugging POE and waiting, did not do it for me. When I had lockups with 5G SA on the old version, I had to actually hit the reset button the device (located near the SIMs).
@@PeterC408 are you saying speed is better with NSA than SA? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around?
Thanks!
Many thanks Bob! 😊
