He also taught him how to produce along with the Bass brothers (a bit). I also love Relapse personally and Dre produced every single song. But yeah, Em deserves more credit as a producer.
The Eminem Show was my musical bible growing up. The entire album was a direct result of him studying Tupac and is when he was at his highest level of mastery of what he learned studying Tupac's delivery

To give a better idea of what that means to me...I've always described Tupac's delivery as "dripping with emotion" Tupac isn't great because of his technical rhyme schemes or over the top wordplay...it was his delivery and over all musicality. The Eminem Show was the era in which Eminem had the highest mastery of that specific tupac-esque delivery and THAT is what people describe as "old em". At least that's my opinionated conclusion from the data my perspective has provided. Always open to counter arguments and thoughts from different perspectives!
