Fitted for a 0211 today. It’s been years since I bought a new driver... always buy second hand... but it’s now £205 delivered !!! Always wanted to try their equipment, but never had the money ... they’re doing things in the market place. Love it.

Brilliant video! The production value is off the charts when it comes to RUclips. The comparison is timely, also. I've been eyeballing these two with great interest. For me, its going to be price as a determining factor and ironically, that means PXG is going to likely be my choice.

My wife and I shared a bottle of wine with our tea tonight - it was then a bit disconcerting to see two of you for a while....... that was a good test Andy and again shows how difficult it would be to decide on a £3-£400 pound spend, I probably still wouldn’t go for either.

Most entertaining review I’ve ever watched! I laughed out loud a few times. Bravo! I’ve played both ping and pxg irons and drivers. I’m now with pxg gen 3 irons and the pxg gen 2 driver. Absolutely love ping clubs, especially my g400 max (which is the best driver ping has ever made). Given pxg’s new pricing model, the other brands are in trouble. No reason to pay $500 for a driver when they all perform almost exactly the same.

Great comparison. I've literally just been trying to decide between a ping and pxg xf 0811.(bare with me) I phoned pxg yesterday to see if they had any 10.5 degree drivers left but they only had 14 degree left , gutted as those drivers were selling for an unbelievable £250. But then Laurence the pxg chap suggested the brand new 2021 0221 model for £325 , a tad more , granted. But we had a really good chat , he filled me in on the history of PXG and how their development team had previously worked for and designed done of the Ping clubs. We talked about my swing characteristics and he suggested loft and shaft options. He even said I could join him for fitting/tweaking session at nearby course post covid restrictions. What great customer service, a great friendly guy. I'm sold and will be placing my order in the next few days. Got to be worth a punt at £325 . I've not treated myself to z new driver since I bought my Ping G2 back in great day , don't get my wrong I love Ping. I currently hit ping g30 irons and use a ping putter but I can't wait to open my PXG driver box shortly. 👍

Love the split screen in the beginning and the face to face chatter. Great format ! One thing i would recommend is to have the same shafts in both clubs, same loft, etc.. its the only way to get a true head to head comparison of dry ball data. I have a new G410 Plus but haven’t hit because i had shoulder surgery in December 2019 and still haven’t hit a ball since September 2019. It has the Ping Tour 65 S shaft, which i read is one of the best OEM shafts out there.

Oh how nice.🙂 Thank you. In times of social distancing the best idea is to meet himself to play golf and discuss the pros and cons of each club. 👍🏻about the clubs: I dont think everybody buys NEW clubs every year. Very few years ago I got my NEW driver Ping G 400 max at the end of the season in the pro shop, during a try out with the launch monitor by an experienced fitter. After one season I could lower it by one degree and can now shoot over these terrible bunkers 😄 so its not only the NEW driver but sort of training, especially if its for the average golfer who has to work most of the time and plays for fun. Keep up your work , looking forward to seeing next vids👍🏻🖖🏻

A Ping 425 costs $399 with no fitting and no choice of shaft at the discount stores here so saving $180 is a no brainer to me. I can use that to pay for golf balls.

Was going to go get fit for Ping G425, but now will tell fitter I want to test both G425 and PXG 0211 drivers. But with PXG being $204 (US) less than the Ping, the G425 is going to have to massively out perform the 0211. From your test Andy, I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Awesome video Andy. Bringing out the clone was very entertaining. I've never been a fan of the PXG brand and never thought they were worth the money they sold for mainly because they could not out perform the other big name clubmakers. At least not enough to justify almost double the price. But if I had to choose between the new Ping driver and the new in line pricing PXG I would be leaning towards the PXG based on your testing and looks. Of course my final decision would depend on how they perform and how they feel I'm my hands.

The PXG head is more than likely a bit heavier. The 0211 comes stock at 45 inches. PXG has other lines that are 45.5 stock legnth. Heavier heads work for many professionals makes sense this set up would work for club players as well. I prefer driver heads at 205 grams, this is in addition to the adapter. Adams XTD driver was a perfect example of a hot driver that was heavier than other drivers on the market at the time. Fortunately you can add weight to PXG drivers to fine tune them.

Loved the video Andy!…Great comparison with those Drivers but Can’t see changing my G410 anytime soon due to the forgiveness/accuracy that I get with it! 🍻

Great review. The price is definintely a big factor. For me it will come down to fitting and testing (the testing includes getting on the course and getting some skin in the game when using the driver on the course - how they perform).

The cost of the driver is a big factor for me, probably wouldn't go for the PXG. I'm sure there's a driver out there that would perform as good if not better with the right head-shaft configuration. Great video, always enjoy your content.

Brilliant video so clever how you've put it together . Would have to test some drivers to see which suited me and then try and find a second hand one or if I had the money and the pxg worked for me then I'd go for that on price point

Love the video. I purchased the Ping G425 LST. Performed great in fitting. I have been intrigued with PXG. Main issue for me is being in Canada, I’m not sure where I can get fitted. PXG does not sell in retail outlets.

Im in same boat. Toronto is closest for fitting for me but just might get fitted in Ottawa then order then in with my specs.

I have a Ping GS425 and ought it as someone who had been a Tailormade guy for years but when I went in for a fitting back almost 2 yrs ago now, the consistency and forgiveness stole me away. With that said if the PXG was that good and that much cheaper then, I would have put the PXG in my bag.

Free agent shopper looking for a replacement to my Taylor Made Burner Plus 1987...don't laff
My first fitting was last week at Roger Dunn Golf: measured six different drivers (Stealth, Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, ?) Callaway Rogue ST LS or the Ping - data points to Rogue, barely. Then i found PXG.
Fitting with PXG early next week...stay tuned.

Recently went for a driver fitting and hit all the new models. Fitter tweaked my current Titleist 917 performed equally well. It shows me that not much is truly gained from new equipment unless you're switching from persimmon. 😂

Hi Andy great content once again. If you still have the clubs I’d be really interested to see you repeat the testing but with a Reg flex shaft. Just a hunch but I think your speed would improve .. please give it a go .. but don’t let that other fella have a go!

Great video again 👍🏻 I received my 0211 yesterday and it looks amazing , I have a sim max and the difference is it seems to have a longer face height across the centre and smaller toe to heel on the pxg , looking forward to giving it a whack 👍🏻 again keep up the great content

Great production again Andy, I wonder how many Andy clones are out there?
Will PXG stick with the aggressive pricing? Is this a model previously released now clearing stocks to sensible Golfers or a new direction?
