Great info. I'm looking to become a sports psychologist and can't wait to go to college. I love football and would love to work with colleges across the nation.

Amazingly useful not only for insight into what a Sport Psychologist does but also a psychologist in general. Thank you so much.

Awesome video! I began to consider whether to pursue an education in sports psychology after watching the Talking Out Loud podcast. The hosts of the show are both Performance Consultants and I loved the topics of the field but I wasn't sure what it would actually be like to work as a Sport Psychologist. This video is a great introduction into what to expect! Thanks for sharing!

Pretty interesting stuff. I am interested in becoming a sports psychology. What advice would you offer a young man who would like to focus on perfecting there jump shot. Basketball is my favorite sport so I dont know what I should do to edge up. I need more clues on what's inside. Relaxation on and off the court.

As for the insight, practice meditation breathing. It helps into clearing the soul and quieting the interrupting thoughts that block/stop movement.
As for the jumpshot itself; watch the docufilm "the perfect shot". It is Dirk Nowitzki's story of how he developed his shot applying quantum physics.
As for the movement. Don't forget any movement comes from the earth/ground. So key is receiving the energy/motion from the legs while bending knees and focusing it to the basket as you jump and follow through with your wrist. Blessings

It's my understanding that you need a psychology bachelors, then it's necessary to obtain a masters in sports psychology to branch out. Following that, two years experience
