    "They will know that you like them before you do."
    ... Heavy Doubt.
    They might think that you like them before you do, but the false positives are HIGH. A lot of women genuinely struggle to comprehend that a guy isn't interested in them.

    Imagine explaining why that guy quit his job when applying elsewhere. "So, my sister, I mean my wife, made me."

    Lauren: "You see this 'lying to be nice' in avoidant types."
    Me, someone trying to get over avoidance: "She has no idea what she's talking about."
    Lauren: "They'll say, 'I'm fine,' 'I'm not angry,' etc."
    Me: ...dang. 🤣

    GREAT live stream, Lauren...👍
    Remember, guys: She CANNOT be your _wife_ AND _sister_ at THE SAME TIME.
    {And preferably NEVER...🤦‍♂️}

    I was an early demo of that machine that ‘taught’ speed reading (I’m 73, 74 in 5 days0 and around the age of 10 I was volunteered by my mom for a demonstration before the school board (she was a member) of the speed reading technology of the time. By the way, the name of the machine was a tachistoscope (tuh-kiss-tuh-scope).

    There's a large genre of lawyer youtubers; they mostly cover other people's cases, though. At any given moment, there's probably 5 interesting cases going on, 10 if you want to get into super-political stuff. The Dadvocate might be interested in the recently concluded case of Laura Owens v Clayton Echard. I don't want to spoil too much, but she's nuts.

    I was 33 and in the USMC the first time a woman unironically referred to me (to my face) as "Hot." It took probably half an hour to convince me that she wasn't either mocking me, or otherwise fucking with me. The fact that she was a gorgeous six-foot redhead, may have been a factor, but not as much of a factor as you'd think.

    Men are more direct and efficient communicators so if you’re looking to solve a problem that’s the type of person you want. Women are more indirect and pour over all the details so if you want to feel it they are better for that. These are generalizations I’m much more direct and my boyfriend is much more indirect

    Careful referring to yourself and Roma and Emily as some kind of “big three.” One of them might retort that “it’s just big me!”

    I think women being viewed as more beautiful has to do with biology. I mean we as a species need more women than men and we need them to exsist longer (atleast historically speaking when childbirth was highly dangerou). So we as humans view women as more visually appealing similar to why we view babies as cute.

    23:46 just a bit confused why she get's so pissed. Why do you care about it ? It doesn't affect your life. Not every thought that pops in your head has to be shared.
    I had a gf who was way better looking than I was and yes it was stressful at times so I kind of get what he thinks, even if I wouldn't do the same as he does.

    2:03:55 In devil's avocado for Abraham, she was his half sister. (God was not persuaded.) Now I'm wondering about the implications of the phrase "devil's advocate," when talking about biblical characters being naughty.

    • @einkartoffel4323
      @einkartoffel4323 2 месяца назад

      I mean, to my knowledge, devil’s advocate was originally a Catholic term, where during the process of canonisation (saying someone is a Saint, and thus their life was a good example of holiness), there was someone appointed as devil’s advocate, whose sole job was to argue against the person. So it wouldn’t be that weird to talk about devil’s advocate in the context of biblical people

    I have never gotten what I call a genuine compliment and what I mean by genuine is a random compliment all the compliments I've been given are usually prompted by me expressing that I hardly ever receive any positive feedback about my looks or a compliment. So I am convinced that I am extremely hideous and considering I have never been treated very well by a woman and only ever been used for resources, money, or a drunken mistake and validation. Hence why I gave up on love months ago so much that I refuse to date or even have dating apps

    About the academic wife doing the great resign. I can sympathise with that because usually it’s born from overwork, disillusionment, burnout and finally depression. Check in about this before hitting the discard button I’d recommend.

      She probably denied the husband children in pursuit of her career, and now that her eggs have all dried up she just decided to up and quit not just her career, but working altogether after decades of going to school? All I see in her future is cats and wine. That dude needs to drop that woman like his life depends on it. I understand burnout, but that guy has probably sacrificed a lot of his needs just so wifey can pursue her career. Even Lauren pointed out that if the roles were reversed no one would even entertain such lunacy.

    Idk maybe its cause im not married but i just dont get the wifes my sister situation. Dude told everyone shes his sister as a accident and to prevent a bunch of frat fuckboy from sliding in her dms (which didnt work) and they were actively trying to get with her even after he told them she was married.
    And consisdering he has very light flirty messages towards his female co workers and she was searching for dirt so who know if she isnt just exaggerating what they actually said and they arent really flirty at all.
    Whats the issue and why is she making a big deal outta it ? She went digging found nothing even with years of this lie. He just seems like a well meaning idiot

      Wouldn’t it be hilarious in a dark way if Jake was being pranked long term at because he saw a pic of Josh’s wife at work and commented “Is that your sister?” and everyone went along with the gag forever (including Josh). I say this because Jake is the only verifiable instance of sister in the phone where there should be many.
