I saw Godsmack and Halestorm a few years ago in Alpharetta Georgia, Sully and Shannon had a drum competition in middle of the show, they’re both fantastic drummers, it was a hell of a show 🤘
Sully is a great musician . Most people are aware of his work with Goodsmack . He is one of the best drummers around - his timing is perfection - he’s a consummate showman while he plays and can play Neil Peart with the same passion which is the part a lot of people miss ..,
same thing happened to me with fight fire with fire. but it took until Mater of puppets that instantly hooked me onto metallica. i then went back to ride the lightening and loved the album. still my fav band.
Metal Church's "The Dark" is one of those albums that almost never gets any recognition even though almost every song is a classic. "Start the Fire", The Dark", "Ton of Bricks", and especially "Watch the Children Pray". Sully has great taste. I almost didn't think he was gonna pick Mötley because of the silly back-and-forth he had with Nikki a while back. ;) And RUSH!!!
The first time I heard Sully play drums was with his band Strip Band, horrible song writing, but killer music. His drumming was awesome. Then came time to Smack God.
Mentioning John Machera! He was a badass dude! I met and partyed w Pantera w him.and many other shows!And Sully was Total Poser! And you know what you do to posers!
Sully seems like such a cool down to earth kinda guy!!
Moving Pictures and Ride The Lightning are definitely some of my favorite albums of all time.
