Disagree. Once you give him that 3rd MVP, he's in the small company of MJ, Bird, Magic, LeBron, Moses Malone, Bill Russell, etc. Imo some in the media are afraid that that 3rd MVP would mean he's the face of the NBA. Some don't want him to be the face because they'd rather market quickness, dunks, splashy 3s, etc. You can tell the media is really hoping Anthony Edwards can be that face, but his stats just aren't there yet.
Why not let people select who they root for and who the face is?

Putting that into historical context, Jokic has done this for his 4th consecutive season, putting him in the very small all-time company of MJ and LeBron (probably Wilt too but so many stats weren't tracked in the 1960s).
Jokic also isn't top 10 in usage rate. Luka is #1. Jokic is also slightly higher in the NBA's player impact estimate. Jokic just seems to be doing more and effortlessly.

MVP voting in the NBA has been a joke ever since Fred Hickman denied Shaquille O'Neal the unanimous MVP during the 2000 season when Shaq and Kobe won their first championship.
Long before that. I remember Bird getting screwed out of a few in the 80's and Jordan simply because the League didn't want to give it to the same player every year.

SAS has been a BS artist from the beginning, often changes his opinions (sometimes in the same segment), and got famous for ranting, yelling, and raving about a certain player or issue... and he's a BS "analyst" now. Don't know why he has his blinders on in regards to the Joker,... but I can guess! :p
