In the UK, £44k seems too high for the GT Line S, that's EV6 money. I think £33k for the 58kwh Air will be much h more popular, that's all you should need in a car this size.

  • @FFVoyager

I preferred the simple - you 'get everything' spec of the early Hyundai Ioniq.
With this if you want a heat pump you have to get a big battery high-spec car with big wheels? No smaller battery - that would benefit from having it - option. That's very poor.
Glad I don't care for SUVs. This will be another car to ignore.

I think it is not a pretty var from the outside but since I am usually driving it from the inside and I love its interieur, I really like it.
What I find terribly stupid that when you order the GT line package, you loose many miles in range while having a car that is louder because of these 19 inch wheels. If that car could go 150 mph or more that would make some sense here in Germany, but it is cut off around 100 mph so what is the point of having a louder less comfortable car while having less range? You will never drive fast with it anyway and if you are like me and don't want to be bothered much with driving, you will use the HDA anyway and that keeps you at a max of 130kmh (around 80mph) and here you want silence, comfort and not be bothered. I like that fact that it has a capacitive steering wheel sensor, so you just need to have your hand on it, without having to to push it left or right for the annoying "hands on steering wheel" message to disappear.
I would go for the earth with heat pump and that's it.
By the way I thought car2x would an automatic bidirectional vehicle to load, but it turns out to be an emergency communication system that will send out a crash signal to others or receive a crash signal from other cars to you are being slowed down instantly ... it also is supposed to communicate with traffic lights and I like that concept. Though I have been reading that the manufacturers are fighting with incompatibilities ... I don't know why some European or Worldwide consortium with actual specialists with no lobby connections doesn't step in and clearly defines binding standards - end of discussion!

@@tkermi 3 years ago a segment B car like this could cost 25k in its medium configuration. Litium has reduced its price and EVs have less mechanic part. There's no reason to cost 45k except the ambition of manufacturers to gain more and more and the stupidity of people who are ready to pay the price they request thinking it's a decent price.

@@The_Observer72 Here in Germany the EV3 starts at a lower price than the EX30. I agree with you that the Volvo is great car at a good price point, especially for those who like power and AWD, but you have to like its interieur and the fact that its efficiency isn't anywhere near the Niro EV or EV3. I have high respect for Volvo for that fact that just, like the Korean cars, they use recycled material that will also later be easy to recycle. For people who are not much into range and love to accelerate real fast and then break real hard, the Volvo is better a choice. 🤣
