People think farming, ranching, dairying, etc. is easy and doesn't take a lot of smarts. I really enjoyed this vlog as it shows your dedication, education, and diversity of knowledge you have, but don't flaunt. Well done, humble farmer. Well done.
I had a great friend whose mother worked with Rosie the Riveter in the day. My daughter and I have cards of her we expose in our homes‼️ it tells you I’m old🤣
This bulls is out of a cow my mother in law has taken to calling “Curly” for her curly brown hair coat. She always has black calves for us that include two cows we use as embryo recipients. The cows are Rosie for my wife’s great Aunt, and Mary Magdalene for my grandmother. My grandma liked Rosie the Riveter so we thought Riveter was a good name for the bull calf.
To my uneducated once-upon-a-time farm girl eye the new bull is gorgeous 😍 and so chill. I thought he would be bawling and at least a bit nervous. By the way I've really missed my time hanging out with you, but was down with something that completely drained my energy. I got behind on all my farm and sanctuary friends. I'm looking forward to updates on the 2 bulls when they meet and the evaluation of the baby of the bull clan. BYE 👋. Good luck with your breeding program.🍀
WOW ! This is a beautiful-looking bull, Farmer Tyler !!!! I never saw a bull as mellow-natured as this one. Between your 2 bulls, you're going to have fantastic genetics ! Congratulations ! Great name, too...Riveter ! Thanks for sharing your new addition.....😊😊
Tyler hi five man, I think this will be the best buy of the year as a old dairy farmer i was never crazy about a bull like that but the moment he came of the truck the first thing i sat was WOW !!! what a beautiful bull I think and hope you have many years of pleasure with him
That new bull is beautiful! I had to laugh at the calf looking out from under momma with its tongue sticking out! Too cute. Love the face markings on it, too.
He is Beautiful Tyler. Looking forward to seeing his Offspring in the Future. Beautiful color mix. Great work Tyler. Thank u for being Innovative, u Rock in taking care of ur Animals. I am excited to be a part of ur Joy and Progress.
You don’t even know yet how happy you are. Charolais-limousine and simental and their crosses are only what I’m feeding last years and the results are much better,Way better. Congrats and start thinking on future heifers replacments💪🤞
Good Morning, Tyler! Three Bulls! Wow! Stormy ⛈️ today! You’re going to have Three Bulls that look so good! Bismarck! I love Your Explanations! You’re going to have Cows 🐄 during Breeding Season! Happy Cows 🐄! Happy Bulls! The Arrival! Exciting! First Look! Oh! He’s Handsome Bull! Beautiful! Thank-you, Jermey! Semi-Angus! Register Bull! Split Creek Ranch! Welcome aboard, Handsome Bull! Over 1,100 pounds! Great Video! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Really enjoyed hearing Jeremy speak about the genetics, sounds like he knows his stuff. I think that bull is going to be perfect for your outfit. That first calving season is going to be exciting!
This is Rick Kelley I'm from Dexter mo, southeast mo, I've used Comrade from select sires for the past 5 years as the a/i sire for my 1st year heifers. Good choice for a new bull.
Congratulations, Farmer Tyler, on your beautiful new bull! He has great conformation, doesn't he? Excellent- looking animal, good-tempered, and beautiful..and I like his color. Moment I saw him I thought, "Charolais?' And I was partly right. With his size, he'll help heifers in having easier calves to give birth to. Excellent! You've made a VERY good investment with this guy. I'm so happy for you! 😊
Thanks for putting into layman's terms everything that Jeremy said for us city slickers. That's what I really enjoy about your channel. You explain things so very well.
Tyler explains things so well he even got me fascinated with the tractor restoration. And that says a lot because I've had no interest in mechanics ever before. BORING-unless Tyler's doing it.😉🤩
Jeremy strikes me as a great guy to deal with. He just emits trust, and with the success of dealing with him before sounds good. Not only that but the results look great . Also a great explanation of your breeding program.
I just bought myself a NICE 2 year old Hereford bull. Weighed in at 1600 pounds which to me is insane for a 2 year old bull. Absolute brute of a bull and can’t wait to see some calves out of my Herefords and black angus in 9 months!!! I’m hoping the market will still be good for white faces ($2.50+ per pound in NC right now) when it comes time to wean!!!
I was amazed to hear the details about the different terminologies when breeding cattle !! The gentleman who delivered your new bull was very impressive as he described the details of "bull" and cattle genealogy !!
I agree with the new bull being the dominant one. And I can't wait to see the offspring. The heifers will be a good source for replacement of the older cows.
So interesting meeting your new bull and learning about his background. It's obvious you are happy with him, which is great. I'm looking forward to seeing how he fits in with the Bismark bull.
He is a great looking bull. We have had char on our farm since 2001. We have always had pure bread char cows and bulls for 22 years but here in MN they are getting harder to find so I am switching over to black Angus char cross. The last bull I have still is the same age as him.. I know you will like what he produces.
Such a nice new bull. The way he just mozied down to his area was so relaxed. I hope he'll be popular with the ladies and produce lots of nice calves! He'll probably get along with the other bulls just fine. My neighb😢or who has bucking bulls has about 16 -17 of them and most of them get along fine after the initial snorting and stomping is out of the way. 😂
Wow, what an spectacular bull Tyler! I really love Split Creek Ranch genetics and quality. His temperament is impressive and gentle. Congratulations to your new addition💙
Thank you for the kind words. We have 3 more bulls by this same sire available, and will be consigning elite Angus bulls to the 2023 Cal Poly Bull Test sale.
Tyler you really have a nice new bull there and your plan sounds like a good one to me. Iv been in the cattle business for almost 20 years now and I will tell you Iv learned you can never have too many bulls. It seems like there is always some kind of issue with them and your needing to replace one for some reason or another. I am also a big fan of running two bulls with a heard just to make sure all the cows are covered.
Thanks for the explanation. As a non rancher- I appreciate learning about ranching. Jeremy’s info was interesting, seems like a great guy to work with.
Congratulations on the new bull and expected herd improvement! He is really "pretty", and I love that he's so chill. Not like the Angus that I grew up with for sure.
Great looking bull ! Jeremy texted me a photo when he dropped him off but you can’t tell disposition from a single pic. Your video tells the story… we all like calm ,easy going and a quite eye. Looks like you got it all. I’m sure we’ll get to see his progression. Still trying to get to Modesto. He’s got three left. I better get it together …this is great exposure for Jeremy ,Kathy and their business.
I too was wondering where you were taking the FTR herd sire program! As always well thought out, and good explanation. Now to wait and see how one and all perform. Clearly your not afraid to try new avenues! I like that Tyler!! Very informative post!!
Awesome addition its going to be great to see his offspring!

Good looking Bull.
He’s a good looking Bull! My daddy was in the business for many many years. Both of those bulls are nice. Thank you for sharing and explaining.
It's fun to hear people talk about their bulls. I think you have a good one and you will be keeping a lot of his daughters.
I wish I was more eloquent on the topic of his color genetics! I speak like an Angus breeder of black cattle. 😂
@@jeremystrand6813 I thought you did a great job. You never know when that Charolais diluter gene will show up.
@@jeremystrand6813 ....found it very interesting in you talking bulls. Thank you

That is huge to have a bull that is so tame. On top of that, he is beautiful and has a great genetic background.
Gorgeous young bull :) hope he is able to supply many calves for your herd !!
That’s quite a chunk of beef! He’s gorgeous, beautiful straight top line. Glad Split Creek didn’t cut him cause he came out brown/blonde!
