I’m so so sorry about the loss of Max! We’ve been watching you for years and feel like we knew Max too! There is no doubt at all that he is still there with you! I lost my Dad almost 6 years ago and I still from time to time can smell his cigarette smoke. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys and Max’s family!! 💗💗💗

I lost a friend who was a Marine. He was the same way. Very nice, he was awarded a silver star and four purple hearts. In his 60s, he went over to desert storm and Iraqi freedom to support the young Marines who had never been fired on hostily. He had connections that stayed in the Corp and were highly ranked. He was able to helicopter around and stay with different groups. He carried his Texas flag to fly.
With him gone, the world seems worse off and will never be the same again. I miss him every day. 😔💔☦️

Tyler, that was a moving tribute to Max. He worked with your grandfather, was a mother hen, built people up... I have been reflecting on the value of having people in your life that knew other important people to you. My dad died when I was 24, before I met and married my wife and she and my 4 kids never got to meet him. My parents bought a farm with another family in the 1970's and my sister and I spread his ashes on the land. I spent the last two weekends watching the Eagles playoff games with two very long time friends that did know him, and man I value that. One of the friends is a fan because of my dad, and he was part of the other family that owned the farm. He and I still share ownership the 120 acres despite us living hours from there. Connections matter and I'm sorry for your loss.

In the interim (he is 4) I will probably think about Max, you, and the winter pasture many times over the next few years, having heard your story. So take heart, a small part of your buddy lives on in Michigan.

Amazing because he was an orphan put on an orphan train with his little sister after his Mom's death. That generation is my favorite to visit with Tyler. They have so much to share, including stories about your Grandfather💙

So sorry to hear about your friend FT! I lost my best friend almost four years ago and I still miss him so much. He was 22 years older than me but you would never have known that. We had 36 years of good times and great memories.and he was sure a blessing to my life and taught me a lot. God bless and comfort you buddy!

Bless you young man, after the loss of a good friend. The best kind of friend, based on your words. I'm sure you absorbed everything Max wanted to share with you, and vice versa, so the purpose of your friendship is satisfied. You learned what you were supposed to I believe.

When someone passes and they've left a mark it may not be a mark that changes the world or anything but if they leave a mark to influence a young man doing his best in an uncertain world and helps that sole to chive and learn then that man was a treasure to behold. I hope I've at least helped in a similar way with my many apprentices over the years.
