I loved revisiting this part of the game a few years ago because it was so brief and somewhat forgettable but the music was so memorable. When I saw my character tower above all of the enemies I was really surprised. 5th Cell was really experimental with what they had in their DtL titles and it really shows in this one. DtL2 was a breath of fresh air and it makes me wonder what a 3rd game would have looked like and brought to the table.
I played Drawn to Life years and years ago. For some reason, even though I haven't heard this song for years and years, it still pops into my head from time to time. This is the only song from this game that I remembered and I don't know why....
One of my favorite recent slices of video game music. Fulfills a dramatic contrast in a cityscape (with western guitar even) from the penthouse parties to the grimy underfoot.
+Wilfre the great I used one of my OCs as well, a weapon engineer with a cybernetic arm named Nathan Darid. (Lemme guess: "What's the name of his other arm?")
Hah! I used one of my OCs too, but he's not from any game in particular. I just based him off of a picture of Deoxys my stepsister drew during a game of ours. His name is Clemon. Don't even get me started on what he looks like.
Tell me do you remember there being a seesaw in Rapocity? Apparently you have to draw a pillar, but I swore as a kid it was a seesaw you had to draw not a pillar.
This song, man. I forgot it even _existed,_ then I found it again. And *yo.* Definitely the best song on the soundtrack. I would explain everything I love about it, but it would be a veeerrryyy long comment. Suffice it to say, 👌
I remember playing this level for the first time and finding it so fricking weird that I was so OP all of a sudden. Ah well, I can’t complain. It was nice kicking the baki’s in the guts without dying thrice beforehand.
LOL im sure i heard that soundtrack before but im SURE i never killed the angler king bcuz it was too hard... (myb i just cheated and cant remember...?)
I really liked this game. The story, the music, concept, the whole nine yards. This was pretty much my whole world back then.
Same!
I love when you jump and attack the hero does a dropkick.
It's funny when they're massive
I love how David J. Franco puts a lot of effort into his MIDIs, beginner composers should be like him
He’s actually an inspiration of mine! ☺️

Well wonder no more!

Two Realms exists
Though I think it's kinda. Not bad, but definitely not good
After having not played this game in years, I just randomly thought to playthe soundtrack again. No idea why, but I do NOT regret it.
*Tiny Baki death noise and thudding of the screen.*
City 2 > City Funk
Change my mind
Tbh i prefer city funk
I like City Funk more probably because it has more instruments
They're all awesome
City 2 = City Funk
All tracks are a masterpiece
I remember this soundtrack XD
Little 9 year old me was *~groovin~*
I never got why the first levels music are always second...
Creation Realm There's another game I know called ESWAT where the 2nd boss theme is actually the 1st one.

Maybe you spent a lot of time on this level ?
Same, honestly
The main reason they made the giant levels was to make up for the times your hero looked like a mess of pixels
I always Jammed out to this song as a kid and still do lmao

I swear I always hummed this song growing up, I’m 19 now and I absolutely loved playing Drawn to Life when I was younger.
This has always been one of my favorite Drawn to Life themes!
Still is!
I really like 0:24 but the entire song is super nostalgic!
For a city, it's pretty barren.
There are giant monsters everywhere. Would you live in a Kaiju city?
@@CaptainWobbs If those giant monsters were a bunch of adorable Bakis, wouldn't you?
@@davisprater4731 Fair point.
I remember when I first played the first city level I was like "
Makato (my hero): Just that one time!
Oh I have some decent amount of OCs each from a different games.
+Wilfre the great

+Hello There, I'm Axolotl, Esquire
Your stepsister has good taste in Pokémon.
How the hell does the Hero kick and run at the same time
Raposa Magic
Why do i love this
MAD Natio Because Drawn to Life has one of the best soundtracks that ever existed.
Because is gud
I could never stay mad at failing the last level for the 100th time because of the final boss because the music was just too good
*These baki just became easier to stomp...*
I always found it annoying that you can't just step on them and you still have to jump on them.
Tell me do you remember there being a seesaw in Rapocity? Apparently you have to draw a pillar, but I swore as a kid it was a seesaw you had to draw not a pillar.
I remember this being my most favorite level.
This was the most intimidating song for me when I was 8
In this level you were the scariest thing, being giant and all.
Welcome to the City!
Why does this specific track give me a feeling of dread?
It combines Wilfre's theme and "Trouble!" to create an anxiety-inducing lovely mess
Same😩
@@raine1319 It sounds like a ridiculously dark track you'd find in a shiny happy Cool Math flash game.
also RIP Flash
Not to mention Rapo City ks barren as hell. Like Manus and the darkness took over- _OH WAIT_
My favourite stage in the game, awesome soundtrack and amusing concept,it's like Mega Mario but more lasting and fun.
Except snow gate...

You mean I'm *not* the only one who still listens to the DtL soundtrack? :D
@@aspenleef Oh, _hells_ nah. It's my go-to music for any situation. Honestly, I'm just glad that the fanbase, though small, is so passionate.
@@aspenleef you still listening?
@Anonymous *y e s*
The only difference is I actually downloaded the mp4s onto my phone and added them to a playlist lol

Not to mention killing the Shadow Walkers in 1 hit instead of 3. I love empowering finales like this.
Where is City 1?
Shamus TheKnight i never tought of that
City Funk
I never made it past the angler king boss :(
It’s funny how you hear CITY 2 before you hear CITY FUNK! What was with 5th Cell’s music namer that one day?
Hey um, SirBaki? RUclips Gaming is registering this and several other tracks under the wrong game...
Really? Oh... I will check the tags for these videos.
Hm... I have no idea why it's linked to the next chapter and how to change it.
SirBaki According to what RUclips has told me, they can be changed under Advanced Settings.
Gotta draw the zeppelin
best song in the whole game!!
LOL im sure i heard that soundtrack before but im SURE i never killed the angler king bcuz it was too hard... (myb i just cheated and cant remember...?)
Mannatu did you buy any if the in-game music tracks?
SirBaki
Baki
those things are annoying
Canyon Marson I have a soft spot for the baki :)
Their GODDAMN HEADS!!
Canyon Marson You get the reference?
Maybe.
@@pikapals41 Um. Is it the song that NavyJ sings ? I don't remember.
