Thanx for improvin’ my vocab! I actually enjoyed the over-trebled sound quality, gave it more “Paganini-violinistic screech, whistle, zing, zipp, pop, rinnng and bite”. 👍🏻
Many of us, I'm sure, are in that exact situation. However I was never a fan particularly of etudes, and so I found a few new - to me at any rate - works. A solo sonata by Ysaye which I gather is played often but was unknown to me, and a sonata with piano by Lekeu which does actually seem rather a rare bird :-)
Beautiful! Makes the cello actually sound like a “Paganini worthy” instrument! Pssst) Many Piatti renditions tend to sound like someone “unhappily sawing away on a giant overripe cucumber in muddy water”.
Thank you, Andreas. There is an impressive number of excellent Piatti performance videos on RUclips. They are very inspiring to hear and I tried to contribute something as a respectful response and as a way to kick myself in the rear end to keep practicing.
@@cbrey I got a chance to listen to several YT Piatti 12’s and, yes, they were excellent or superb in their own way. And, it is more PC anyway to always be appreciative. Thanks, good point.
Great playing‼️
Pretty good cello for a sailor! Haha! Absolutely top notch as always
No buoys were hit in the making of this video
Sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Bravo...!
Anyone who dislikes this video is just jealous. I've never seen somebody play this Capriccio in such a relaxed way!

Yup, so 'relaxed' that the intonation is 😬, like 60% of the time.
Sin embargo, se siente y aprecia el cariño a la interpretación. Saludos
Good job
Agreed about execrable sound quality.
