- This game really is just SWAT 5 - and I love it for that. Zero Hour was fun for a little but was quickly boring as hell and the awful netcode really did not help. This game feels fresh and fun, the gunplay is really good, the penetration especially makes houses feel like paper and your bullets like sledgehammers. Everything about it so far impresses me, I'm glad we finally got a spiritual sequel after all these years. Also yes I was intoxicated while playing no further questions your honour.

glad ya been off a year and 10 and going, but ya he is not wrong because addicts with metal cutting tools can turn a house into meth in a VARY alarming rate.
I'm a building inspector, and one of the neighborhoods I work in is pretty rough substances-wise. There've been more than a few times when I walked up to the front door of a house for the final inspection, noticed the keyhole was all scratched up from picks, and from that alone I knew that when I walked into that house all the kitchen appliances AND the wiring for the furnace and A/C would be gone.
They finally caught him a few weeks ago. Him. One guy. It was apparently ONE GUY who had been stealing the fridges, dishwashers, and ovens out of these houses, plus the copper from the HVAC. By himself. Honestly if I were a cop, and saw a tweaker literally DRAGGING AN OVEN out of a house with nothing but his own strength and then somehow loading it into a pickup, I'd be really tempted to just leave him to his business.

3:26 That's because it's a Mk 18 CQBR (Close Quarters Battle Receiver) that has only a 10.5 inch barrel instead of a 14 inch barrel that a normal M4 has, meant to be the official successor to the Old CAR-15.
On the downside; really short barreled M16 family weapons suffer from not only poor muzzle velocity (comes with the territory of literally cutting the barrel in half) and the direct impingement gas system was never meant to function properly in such a compact fashion so it tends to beat itself to death VERY fast leading to excessive parts wear, extra intensive maintenance requirements and short service life.
All thats telling me is that Short stroke Gas piston is better again! Ahah, German superiority strikes again, grab your HK416C today!

+@@iammrmech7650+ You do realize that the 416 is just the AR-15 Pattern Weapon with the Gas System from the AR-18 Rifle (which they put on the G36 first then the 416) with HK style sights and selector switch. Then some minor tweaks here and there because Germans being perfectionists. It's hardly an original gun...
Edit; plus ALL subcompact rifle calibre Carbines have issues with parts wear unless the weapon is specifically designed to deal with it since you're trying to get something not much bigger than an SMG to fire Assault Rifle rounds out of it. They tend to have ludicrous rates of fire as there is Very little distance for gas, recoil or blowback energy (depends on the system in question) to travel and less material mass to absorb firing stresses since its obviously a smaller gun.

The idea of an ENTIRE CAN of pepper spray being dumped on a guys head is horrifying. Forget the suspect "just" dropping a gun, he should be rolling on the ground trying (and probably failing, between the wheezing,) to scream. Hell, I doubt that anyone in that general vicinity is going to be doing much of anything without a gas mask, because you're basically huffing tear gas at that point.

@@cnlbenmc That would depend on the spray ingredient: here, it would probably be OC or the like, which means the eyes will physically swell shut, pain tolerance be damned.
I imagine any lung problems would be similarly physical, and not related to pain.

The Taser Melee thing is real, it's called "Drive Stun". It's literally just a stun gun, it's super loud and scary IRL and hurts really bad. It's mostly there for "pain compliance" usage. So if the suspect is freaking the fuck out and you want to make him chill, you can inflict pain without physically injuring the person. It's not the same as the actual taser electricity that makes your whole body tense up, it's just painful high voltage that has no use except again, threatening pain or inflicting pain without going to jail yourself for brutality (maybe).
I need a Judge Dredd mod for this game where you just sweep through the building with overwhelming firepower and zero mercy.

As For Their ammo; the 5.7x28mm round is commercially available in non armor piercing varieties like Hollowpoint and FMJ. Hell I've even seen some for sale in Californian gun stores during the height of the Ammo Shortage. Even the FMJ round is effective vs soft armor as Kevlar does NOT like Pointed bullets like the 5.7mm. But commercial grade ammo has been shown in some tests to work poorly in P90s with near constant jamming.
They have alot of guns we dont, some have M16s, etc. its just the fact that the game is still being updated. They didnt wanna release it yet.
