Member of the combat squad here. We lost our radio very early on and we had no contact with other units. We started the round thinking we were right at their spawn. Once we realized that they were going to flank us, the original squad moved around and got separated. I was the AT guy so I was very slow and joined a group of guys. We were just quietly going through the jungle and just happening to hit ARVN at the best times. The river flank was just us basically following sounds and walking in random directions. At the end the VC are shooting from the hideout thinking we are ARVN. Me and the other guys in the squad assume its ARVN and since I was too slow to run, I decided to do a last stand thinking there were way more ARVN than there actually were. Also, in the mirror match I was the driver of the APC and when we get ambushed and molotov'd, I panicked and tried to run the VC down. Somehow me and Latham were able to stealthily drive the APC and clear the hideout together. It was so much fun and is genuinely the most fun I have had in Arma!
Oh my your story reminded me of why I love those moments when I just get lost and tag along with another squad, what makes it a bit more funny for me is I'm normally playing the medic and play in smaller units, so occasionally through sheer incompetence I can accidently make one squads life a bit of a pain and buff up another
That flank was epic, but also pretty accurate. They were literally in the trees all around them, almost by chance, and executed an ambush even with low tier communication equipment.
Now I'd like to think that a majority of those ambushes that happened in Vietnam were instances of VC and US forces accidentally running into each other and Spiderman pointing at each other

Rimmy explained the joys of the debrief in his Radio video, where one squad will apologize for having teamkilled another squad, where that squad will laugh because they thought they were killed by the enemy, etc. That is something I really wish I could see more of. Like, no shit, I'd consider paying money on Patreon if I get access to Cadian XXth debriefs
Having only short distance radio, numbers disadvantage, enemy armor on sight and then being bombarded with M79 that you can't shoot back at. And then some commenter on YT makes fun of them:\

Legit set of questions as a newer zeus: What addons/modules are being used for; being able to see other zeus/moderators the fact that whenever something gets spawned you can see it rather than doing the add/remove editable along with the voice mod? the one that lets you talk as a zeus while in zeus mode, that one confuses me
I'm guessing you're just new to ArmA in general, but while I don't know his exact mod list I'm sure he is running Task Force Radio for the voice chat which requires TeamSpeak 3, ACE which has a ton of functionality mostly for players but some for Zeus, and I am fairly certain Ares/ Achilles or some variant of it as a few new Zeus function tools have popped up. Rimmy does a lot of mission coding himself though too so remember that.
