Actually not a scream and neither a glitch. The sound is of the car suddenly revving to the redline while in midair. However, the 1st Hot Pursuit on PS1 did have police screaming like this on the megaphone when they crash.
how is your game running so smoothly? i know i only have an rx580 and the ryzen 5 2600x but im still having frame dips down to 10fps when smoke comes on screen. Is there any specific settings for pcsx2 that i need?
Are you using the 1.4.0 build release of PCSX2 or one of the later build releases such as 1.5.0 and 1.6.0? Because the games that are played on one of the later build releases runs miles better than on 1.4.0. There's also less bugs, too.
You know this game saw an actual PC release right? Don't know if there are any differences though, just thought I would point out there is a release for PC and essentially no need to emulate unless purely for nostalgia.
The PS2 release is a completely different (and vastly superior) game when compared to the PC and Gamecube versions, as it was developed by a different studio. So, yes. There IS a need to emulate this one.
